Stopped by for lunch with my mom and daughter after some shopping. It was our first time, so we took our time with the menu. My mom doesn't eat beef and was tired of chicken, so I suggested she try the pork soup. My daughter wanted the same thing, I went with traditional beef pho. We also ordered a side of egg rolls. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything came out quick and hot. I tried my daughter's broth and it was really flavorful, same with my pho. Egg rolls were pretty good. My mom really enjoyed her soup and said it was one of the best soups she had in a while. That's a lot coming from her. The only negative was they never came back to fill up our water.

    Hu Tieu. Sooooo delicious!

First time here this morning and I am glad I gave this place a try. Service was fast and the Hu Tieu is the best I've ever had in Elk Grove. Laid back atmosphere. Shall return with the family soon.

This place is kinda hidden, it's far in the shopping center away from the main road. With that being said, there was always a steady flow of customers even when I was there mid afternoon. I will say, they were very attentive and quick at seating, getting ice water, getting my order and bringing out the food. I ordered a medium sized combination pho. It was solid. Not the best I had, but definitely very yummy and filling. They were generous with the amount of meat in the bowl. I finished the entire bowl.

This is my first time coming to Pho Mi Amor. I had just finished some work and I had a craving for some Vietnamese food. I was huunnngryy. I walked in just needing a table for myself and the kind man told me I can sit anywhere and he asked if I had any questions before ordering and he was able to answer questions I had about the food portions. I had looked at the menu online before walking in, and the prices are very, VERY reasonable. The menu was small and simple, but to me, this usually means they really specialize in these menu items. Once I was sat with the menu and some water, I noticed the restaurant was decorated with plenty of plants. It was very inviting with a cozy vibe. Even their light fixtures added a cute touch. I ordered fried chicken egg rolls, their number two beef pho, and a thai iced tea. He brought out the garnish plate with extra napkins and asked if I wanted pickled jalepenos. Even though I came in an hour before closing, it seems like they kept the place very clean. The sauces weren't dried onto the lids and they refrigerated the pickled jalepenos. I wasn't expecting the food to come out in a specific order since they were closing soon but my food came out hot and quick. The food was amazing. I had the broth without any sauces and it tasted amazing alone but I love my pho spicy. I haven't tried pickled jalepenos with pho before but I tried it out and the food just continued to taste better and better. I ate all the food I ordered. Once got up to pay, the same man asked how the food was and asked if I can leave a review. Maybe he saw me taking pictures or heard me on the phone talking about the food. Or just saw me inhaling my food LOL. But I don't usually leave reviews and I was curious to see how long this place has been here since I've never been here before. I had a short conversation with this nice lady who said they took ownership two years ago. I'm assuming since they're in the corner of this plaza and behind a bank and fast food restaurant, a lot of people may miss this place but their service and food was amazing. I hope this review can boost this restaurant's business because they seem like amazing business owners that want to serve great food!

We were greeted right away as we walked into the restaurant. The restaurant was fairly full when we arrived but the cool waiter was able to seat us. The restaurant was clean and well lit. We ordered the pho ga (my friend changed up the meat a bit) and I got the hieu tieu with broth this time. Our order came out pretty quickly and was hot, just the way I want it. Im pretty particular about my soups being hot, I will return it if its cold. The pho ga broth was clear and clean, really flavorful. The hu tieu had a lot of yummy goodness that's rarely overlooked at other places. It really hits like home. This is one of my favorite pho and hu tieu places in Sacramento/eg. I would definitely come back regularly.

This is my favorite place to get hu tieu dry noodles the sauce that it comes with is so good. They also give you a bowl of broth on the side with a piece of pork. The meat melted in my mouth. I like to get it with pho noodles and the clear noodles . I am not a fan of the heart and liver so they were able to give me more pork meat instead. My boyfriend likes to get the pho there. I haven't tried to pho yet but it looks good . The service there is great. We were starving and the food came out fast.

I came by to place a quick to-go order since I wasn't feeling well. It was around 11am on a weekday and it was pretty empty with one or two diners. I ordered the hủ tiếu (pork noodle soup) with the yellow egg noodles. They came out with my order packed to-go really quick. I got home and assembled the food and it was delicious! Really comforting and tasty. I would come back just for the pork noddle soup and this may be my new go-to spot for it!

We came here for lunch last Saturday. We were greeted and could choose the seat we wanted. The owner was nice and friendly. I ordered beef tendon with fresh noodles, and my hubby ordered pho combination. I really enjoyed my tendon, and my toddler enjoyed it as well. The broth tastes MSG-free to me. My hubby enjoyed his bowl, too. They have plenty of seating, and the plaza is big. We definitely will come back again.

Searching for pho shops on my way home stumbled on this place and honestly kinda glad I did I've been wanting to try Hu Tieu Nam Vang... I really liked it with the broth on the side and the mix noodles was a good suggestion from the waiter.. The ambience normal nice and clean the service was great staff are friendly definitely returning.

Mi amor!! The pho was so good. I walked in and quickly sat. After ordering the food came out in 5 minutes. Both phos were hot and fresh and it was reasonably priced and delicious. Unfortunately they didn't have any goldpops but the boss gave us complimentary ice cream!

Wife saw a new spot and we checked it out for dinner. Interior was clean with nice decor. Waitress seated us quickly, was polite and attentive. Primarily a pho place; menu smaller then I was expecting (3 soups, 1 rice plate, no dry noodle, etc). Large bowls were like a small at other restaurants. We ordered: Spring Rolls - good taste, sauce looked fresh Pork Egg Rolls - nice crunch, good filling, came with fish sauce Large Pho Dac Biet Combo (2) with fresh noodle - never seen meat on the bone before! Good amount of meat but other pieces seemed smaller then other places. Overall I thought it tasted really good! Large Pho Ga combo white / dark free range chicken - wife and son really liked it. Avocado Shake - good taste. Egg Cream Coffee - wife said good flavor but thicker then she expected.

First time visitor. Arrived about the noon hour on a Saturday and was immediately seated with menu and waters. Tried both the beef and chicken broth and both were plenty flavorful. The beef in my bowl was soft and not dry at all. The "side veggies" were also fresh. Maybe because this place is still new, but I really appreciated the cleanliness especially for the sauce bottles and condiments! They have the normal rice noodle and fresh noodle option for your pho. Service was very good. The man who served us our bowls (may have been the owner) asked to make sure we had everything we needed before leaving us and was very friendly.

I recently discovered Pho Mi Amor while looking for new-to-me pho spots to try. While I'll always have my solid favorites, I do enjoy branching out and seeing if a different restaurant catches my fancy. Pho Mi Amor is tucked away in a quiet strip mall where Big Lots used to be. It's conveniently off 99 and Elk Grove Blvd. The entrance can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it. The interior of the restaurant is bright and clean, and I was greeted and seated immediately. While it is cozy, there is still a good number of tables, with some larger tables to accommodate bigger groups. I came on a quiet Thursday, but I can see it getting busy on a weekend. The menu is limited, which is just fine for me. I came strictly for the pho bo. I didn't have a big enough of an appetite for the #1, so I went with the #2 medium, and decided to upgrade to fresh noodles. It didn't take very long for my food to arrive, and I loved that the basil had giant leaves, especially as I really enjoy adding basil to my pho. The lime was really juicy, which was a huge plus since I usually ask for extra lime. Here I didn't have to. The bean sprouts were fresh as well. There are plenty of condiments for you to doctor up your pho as you please, including my favorite--spicy chili oil. It is indeed spicy, so be careful about how much you add. As our community manager Rachel mentioned in her review, the broth is a little sweet for my taste too, but overall their pho does hit the spot. The wide fresh noodles had a nice texture without being overcooked. Next time I want to try the regular noodles to compare. All the cuts of meat were tender, and there was a good portion for the price. The medium is a really good size here as well, and I was definitely full after my meal. Pho Mi Amor has been added to my list of pho spots I'd return to again, and I'd love to see what my husband says about the broth when I bring him next time.

The drinks ... top notch. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was their pho. The broth was a little bland and took a lot of me seasoning for my partner. I understand because it is Elk Grove and they have to cater to different palettes. The chili oil was also not spicy and looked like a mixture of the Chinese red chili. As a southeast Asian who loves spice, that was a little disappointing. Other than that, everything else was great. I peeked over at someone's vermicelli noodles and I will def have to try that soon. The menu had a bit too much going on and in my opinion -- restaurants should have a speciality rather than offer so many items because taste and quality loses itself somewhere in the middle of 100 different menu options. I know my partner and I are pho snobs but what we had wasn't even pho. The broth was basically hot water with a tad of salt or chicken bouillon. There were no hints of star anise, cinnamon (often referred to as Saigon cinnamon), cloves, black cardamom, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds -- nada. And the noodles were way too overcooked making my dish so difficult to eat. I ordered pho and it looked like pho -- but it tasted nothing close to it. I need to share that as a reality to the owner and staff so they can make changes to the quality of their food -- otherwise, I don't know if this place will survive the competition. Also, I observed a staff member behind the counter blending a smoothie of some sort, tasting it with a spoon, and then putting back said spoon into the smoothie to stir before pouring it into a cup (and I saw the cup delivered to a party a few tables down from us). That probably isn't very hygienic and it's sad to see that's how things are handled behind the scenes here. I just happened to look over from our table and was pretty disgusted. Moving on, I hope these guys shape up because the quality and taste of food was actually bad. And, I can rarely say that about restaurants I patronize because I love supporting local small businesses. Best of luck to these guys.

Believe me, I've been wanting to try their pho as well, but every single time, their BBH speaks to me. Simply put, it is a comforting hug in a bowl, filled generously with tender slices of meat, homemade meatballs, cha, pork blood cubes, and al dente noodles, all topped off with piping hot broth. It is served with a mountain of fresh herbs, and I always add extra chili oil and sate (that they keep in the fridge) for that extra oomph of flavor. While this location does not serve their BBH with a pork hock, I really don't care at all, because of how cohesive their bowls are every single time. Those homemade meatballs are really an element of the dish that I have not found at any other restaurants, even at BBH restaurants in the bay. Located right off Grant Line in the Sheldon area of Elk Grove, the restaurant is not big, but still has ample seating. The private parking lot has never been full when I've eaten there, but I also have never gone on a weekend. I usually enjoy coming when they very first open, and am always seated immediately. During lunch rush, I have noticed it can get pretty busy, with patrons dining in and to go orders alike. The owner is so nice and I rarely even look at the menu since I always know what I want. I don't usually order drinks as I like to get matcha in Elk Grove, but the one time I got a Thai tea, it was perfectly balanced with a good strength to it. Their menu on the whole is small, but still varied, so there is something for everyone's cravings. If you follow their Facebook page, they will announce weekend specials as well, so stay tuned for those. One day I swear I will try their pho, but for now, Pholicious is one of my top spots for BBH in the Sacramento area. Their servings are huge and easily sharable. The soup comes with garnishes such as basil, cilantro, mint, bean sprouts, onions, jalapenos and lime. Some folks like to add hoisin or siracha. I'm a simple gal and only add a few bean sprouts. If the broth is good, it doesn't need anything else. Service is straightforward. You order at the counter, sit down and your order arrives in under 5 minutes. The staff is accustomed to fast pace. There's a self serve water and tea station so you don't have to wait to get refills. While it may seem like there's few interactions with staff, the set up is streamlined for efficiency. This has become a go to spot for us. It's close by and we don't have to deal with the traffic of South Sac especially on the weekends.

The broth was well seasoned and broth was so beefy. I usually will drown my pho with all the condiments but here, I didn't need to do that. You can choose thin or thick fresh rice noodles. The ambience was nice and the place feels clean. Love the self serve drink station. They had cold tea, cold water and room temperature water to choose from. You order as you enter and service was great! I have been raving about this place to all my friends near and from here. We left happy! Another major plus is that their chili oil is actually spicy just how I like it. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area. If Ell Grove is out of the way for you, they have another location in Davis that's just as good.

One nice thing about this place is that they keep it nice and cold inside the restaurant so it's just fine eating a big hot bowl of pho even in the middle of summer. - Pho Tai: Have I had better? Sure, but the pho here is solid. I love that the bean sprouts, thai basil, and lime served alongside it are always very fresh. Unusually so. I've grown accustomed to somewhat questionable produce served with my pho. - Banh mi with grilled pork: a good banh mi. The bread is excellent. The pork is tasty. The produce is fresh. Thumbs up. - egg rolls: these are unlike any egg roll I've ever had. The outside is a lattice of crispy rice goodness. And the inside has a yummy grilled flavor to the pork. When I got this as an appetizer though, it was sitting in an unpleasant puddle of oil (like they should've let it drain off before plating it). They also serve these with some of the bun dishes. They also have a kids menu with a smaller bowl of pho. Or just the yummy grilled pork over rice. The servers are also pleasant. And, you get a discount if you pay in cash (5% I think?)

Quick friendly service! We ordered Lychee & Lemonade, Thai Tea, Egg rolls, Pork & Shrimp Spring…read morerolls Pork and Shrimp Pho Tai, Pho Ribeye and a Pork & Shrimp Bun. The drinks came out quickly as well as the Pho bowls. The Pho portions were large and served steaming hot. Next came the appetizers. The Egg rolls were the lacy crunchy type which is not common in Hawaii. A bit greasy. Would have loved the rolls to have been drained better. I was told they were tasty. The Pork and Shrimp rolls were hefty rolls that is served with a peanut sauce. I was told the peanut sauce was just ok. Those who tried it commented that the shrimp was seasoned and not just blanched. My Pork and Shrimp Bun was essentially a deconstructed spring roll sans the rice paper wrapper so I did not partake in the apps. My dish was also a generous portion. Over half came home with me for tomorrow's lunch. I inquired what the pickled jalapeño and garlic condiment was supposed to be used for as I also saw this at another pho restaurant we tried in Elk Grove. The server said any dish! Pho Bistro is located in an older strip mall with lots of parking which is a plus. Although the menu is not extensive, I would like to return to try other dishes in this casual restaurant. I loved that several servers stopped by our table to check on us. Support local small business and give Pho Bistro a try! Don't forget to tip generously! The Lychee lemonade and Thai Tea were both refreshing and enjoyed on this humid day! Sorry, forgot to snap a pic.

Such a big dissapointment!!!…read more 1 pork patty banh mi & 1 grilled pork croissant When I got the order it turned out that both of them were banh mi (no crossiant) So, I politely told them that our order was incorrect, due to the cashier possibly mishearing me, & how I said I wanted 1 as a "croissant". Then the cashier angrily told us, "well it's your fault then." Then, reluctenly remade the sandwich for us. Next, I went up to order more food from them a 2nd time. The attitude of the staff COMPLETELY changed from this point on: There was a different cashier, who gave us such a bad attitude, was so impaitient, rude, telling me that there is a 30+ min wait, how they are sold out on a couple things, etc. I eventually placed an order a 2nd time, overpassing the negative feeling I was still getting from the cashier. 2nd Order turned out even worse! -Mochi Waffle~ Barely any filling, just plain dough, no cheese or oreo at all!!! Such a rip-off! -Matcha Latte/Paris by Night~No flavor, just like plain milk in ice! -Grilled Beef Banh Mi~ Only 2 slices of beef, mostly just bread! So, I believe that they purposely make ur food bad on purpose, if they simply don't like u or u politely complain. So biased against customers. Terrible customer service! Waste of money! Not returning again!
