First time customer, was craving something soup based and came across Pho Ivy. Noticed the outdoor seating and store front. A few tables outside and upon entering, menus are up front. You order and pay first and choose a table to sit and the staff will bring your order to you. Since it's a lovely and sunny day, we had chose to sit outdoors. Our meal arrived within five minutes after ordering. Very fast service. I order the Pho Chicken, very flavorful. Delicious broth. Enjoy my meal, affordable and delicious. I would highly recommend. Will likely return in the future.

I first went to Pho Ivy when they first changed names, but hadn't returned since. Maybe I wasn't impressed when the first opened years ago, but I really enjoyed my recent visit. I had the B8 (pho). Good portion, lots of meat. Broth was flavorful; seemed to be high in fat content. They do get busy. Service was pretty quick and friendly. As Elk Grove has gone through more and more development in recent years, parking in this lot has become not so easy to find at times.

This place seems to be very popular and always busy every time I come here. None of the food disappoints and everything I had so far was very tasty! The ambience is ok but not great and I dislike the A/C and fans blowing even on a cold cloudy day! I definitely will be back! Enjoy

We Ordered through DoorDash this time Ordered rare steak pho And rare steak with meatball pho The broth is very tasty - the portions are a good size for a large, I got full off half. I was able to request extra hoisin packets and they actually honored my request which I very much appreciated! The to go order comes with a box of the noodles, the protein and the greens (cilantro, green onion and sliced white onion) Then the broth comes in a separate container And then they give a bag of basil, bean sprouts, a slice of lemon and sliced jalapeño with one hoisin and one sriracha packet. The rare steak was good quality as well. Very happy with our order especially the taste of the broth! Will definitely be ordering from here again!

Very good solid spot for Pho! If you're craving pho I'd definitely recommend coming here. The portions are big and priced pretty fair. We got the B1 (combination) and B2 (rare steak). The broth came out piping hot and has good flavors. There was also a good amount of meat and toppings. Only downside is that service isn't the fastest and there's usually a wait.

Came here for dinner and it was super busy. No one greeted us or told us that there is a sheet to put your name down so some time was wasted standing around. The restruant is pretty small and feels cramped especially when full. When seated we didn't get menus or anything until after we asked. They took our order and the food came out. But we still didn't have any utensils so we had to wait again for them to ask them to bring it. The pho is pretty standard nothing stood out or amazed me. I do like that they load it with green onions/cilantro and don't skimp like other places. Overall an acceptable place for pho.

We got here right when it opened. The place is contemporary, decorated beautifully with light-medium tone wood, and gives you a relaxing vibe. The service was good giving we were there right when they opened, menus came out, water, then ordered. It was a bit early for me to eat as I tend to not eat until afternoon. I got the Combination Pho B1. The broth was clear foggy, done right, however not as flavorful nor fragrant as I could not taste some of the key spices, specifically star anise. I tend to like my pho a bit more rich in beef flavor, whereas this place was a little less so.

Pho ivy is a decent pho restaurant. The restaurant was full with a quick rotation of people waiting and leaving. A sign of a good pho restaurant. I ordered the combination pho, which arrived with a generous assortment of meats was plentiful and satisfying. The noodles were springy and well-cooked. The broth itself was just okay but unremarkable. It did its job, warm and comforting but not as flavorful and delicious as I wanted it to be.

It was my first time back here after some time, and we were craving some good, hearty food for lunch, so we decided to eat at Pho Ivy. The dining room was a bit busy, so we waited a few minutes for a booth to become available. Once the table was cleaned, we were warmly greeted by the staff and given menus to place our order. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and very satisfying. I love the large portions for the price--definitely enough leftovers to take home. This place really hits the spot when you're craving good Vietnamese food in Elk Grove.

B4. Rare Steak & Tripe Soup

I thought this place was pretty good. The staff are nice and friendly. Good customer serve. The dining area was medium size. The place looked clean. I ordered B4, Rare steak and tripe. The soup was tasty. The steak and tripe was fresh. Tripe can sometimes be chewy, but it wasn't. We also order some fries. I just had a craving for some. It came out nice and hot. It tasted like Mc D fries. My husband wanted an appetizer, we ordered salt and pepper pork. I couldn't eat it. It was too spicy for me. After the first bite, I was dying. I never grew up eating spicy foods and I can't handle it, even if I want to eat it.

So I have been wanting to try this place and finally got to last night. It's in a little strip mall with a lot of parking. We went for dinner and there were a few tables full but still seating for us. When I went inside I was a little confused. It looked like a order at the counter and then go to your table place. A worked said to pick a table and they will take our order which I was good with. I don't really like the places that you have to wait in line to order then find a table. I started off with the salt and pepper spareribs. It came with onions and peppers mixed in. It was really spicy and my wife couldn't eat them. It was alot. Next we got the fries. Wow what a big portion and they were crispy. liked them but once they got cold they didn't taste the same. good buy. Lastly I got a large B1. The combination. Usually at places the large isn't really that much bigger in stuff they put in it but not here. It was huge with big portion of noodles and other stuff. My wife got a Small B2 and it was much smaller. The broth was nice and so were all the cuts of meat in it. I really enjoyed it. I couldn't even finish my soup. I asked for a container and the server offered me a cup of broth to go home with me. Such great customer service. I have never seen this before. I will be coming back to try more food here for sure.

First time trying this pho spot and I have to say quick service, large portions and good prices! I ordered C8 with rice noodles (assorted seafood) and my husband ordered B1 large. Both bowls had a ton of toppings! They're really generous with the meat here! Broth was very flavorful that I did t need to use hoisin and sriracha sauce. We also ordered the salt and pepper calamari. Not the flavor I was expecting, it was tossed with a ton of onion, jalapeño, and green onion. The calamari wasn't very flavorful but it came with sweet chili sauce. It was crispy on the outside but not my favorite. Next time I'll stick with the spring rolls! Overall, I would come here again to try the Bo bun hue next time!

The GOOD: - Menu looked amazing The BAD: - Didn't allow us to sit inside because of my service dog. The UGLY: - They didn't understand ADA federal regulations. - They didn't want to hear an explanation of ADA rules and just kept looking around the restaurant like they didn't have room. - They clearly had a table where we would have been out of the way and my German Shepherd would not have been in the way. - They were rude. I would not recommend this place for the sheer fact that they do not understand ADA regulations and this is something they should know if they own a restaurant. Next step is to file a complaint with the city and the DOJ.

Their pork spring rolls are one of the most popular items, and for good reason. The pork patty is flavorful, the vegetables are always fresh, and everything comes together for a light and refreshing meal. You can order them already rolled or make them yourself at the table, which is a fun option if you're dining in. The bánh bèo (steamed rice cakes with savory toppings) is another must-try. It arrives piping hot, so give it a minute to cool before digging in. It's packed with flavor and one of my favorite dishes on the menu. Hand you food and refill water if you ask. The usual, so don't expect much attentiveness even if it's in the Elk Grove area. My plate-steak was tough and chewy, if you have tmj, consider this a warning. As you can see in the picture it was thinly sliced and the portion size should be for kids. I have smalls hands and that portion was wild to see for a 20 dollar plate. Had the meat held up in taste, in not tough or salty, i probably would have been less disappointed. I appreciated the little almost sauce size cup of broth. For me, it's a no in returning here. If pho ivy was open, we would've stuck to that place as it had never disappointed. May whoever is reading this now, have a better experience. Good luck.

Food: 3.8 Service: 4.0…read more Updated visit 4/17: last minute Friday night date with the wifey because if I had to cook we would have eaten around 8pm. Always greeted at the door and pick your own seat, super easy! Lately wife orders the fried crispy noodle combo (aka: bird's nest), and then a Phô bowl and of course A5: pork & shrimp spring roll. The menu had a bit too much going on and in my opinion -- restaurants should have a speciality rather than offer so many items because taste and quality loses itself somewhere in the middle of 100 different menu options. I know my partner and I are pho snobs but what we had wasn't even pho. The broth was basically hot water with a tad of salt or chicken bouillon. There were no hints of star anise, cinnamon (often referred to as Saigon cinnamon), cloves, black cardamom, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds -- nada. And the noodles were way too overcooked making my dish so difficult to eat. I ordered pho and it looked like pho -- but it tasted nothing close to it. I need to share that as a reality to the owner and staff so they can make changes to the quality of their food -- otherwise, I don't know if this place will survive the competition. Also, I observed a staff member behind the counter blending a smoothie of some sort, tasting it with a spoon, and then putting back said spoon into the smoothie to stir before pouring it into a cup (and I saw the cup delivered to a party a few tables down from us). That probably isn't very hygienic and it's sad to see that's how things are handled behind the scenes here. I just happened to look over from our table and was pretty disgusted. Moving on, I hope these guys shape up because the quality and taste of food was actually bad. And, I can rarely say that about restaurants I patronize because I love supporting local small businesses. Best of luck to these guys.

The sauce in the skillet was not too heavy or sweet. It had a nice balanced flavor. All the different foods that came on the skillet were good. The meatball was a tad sweet for me. The baguette was warm and crispy. So good. Very good dish and one of the better ones I've had. Grilled rib eye rice combo: 5/5. I could be wrong, but I thought the beef had a slight lemongrass flavor that I love. The meat was tender. We got the garlic rice with it and it definitely elevates the flavors. Would recommend trying it with the garlic rice Egg rolls: 5/5. Came out nice and hot and crispy. The flavor is on the lighter side, but I thought it was flavorful enough. This was the first time it has ever been like this. We always order the glass noodles and this time, we did not find little crab chunks like we have in the past. Maybe it was an oversight or forgotten? Flavor was still there but definitely not of the same quality. The Bo Ne was still yummy. Now, the bo tai chanh was so good before, this time there was barely any beef. For the price, and the name of the dish, I expect it to be a lot of beef or at least a decent amount. Instead we got a ton of pickled veggies and onions piled into a mound with some slices of beef hidden in there somewhere. I ate mostly pickled veggies.
