So I had a Yelp event out in Elk Grove and afterwards we were looking for a quick bite-so we ventured over to the shopping center across the street and the options were plentiful. We decided on pho at Sit Lo Saigon after reading the reviews on Yelp from a few Yelp friends that I respect. Parking at this restaurant is plentiful as it shares a lot with many other businesses in a busy shopping plaza. This is the kind of place that you walk up to the counter and place your order then they assign you a seat.Its a very casual ,comfortable restaurant. There were two of us eating so we decided to go with the #3($15.95)which is with just brisket & the #4($15.95) which is brisket and meatballs. After a few minutes of sitting down,they brought our bowls out-I'd say less than 6-7 minutes. My first response was "WOW!!" The sheer size of that bowl is what struck me-it was huge. Then again for $15.95,I think it makes sense. I'm a weirdo when it comes to pho,as I eat mine in a particular way.I drink all the broth before eating any of the noodles or meats or side additions. So after doctoring this bowl up with the sides,onions,bean sprouts,jalapeños,lime,Thai basil and chili oil-I went to town on that broth. I thoroughly enjoyed that broth,It had a rich flavor that truly only comes from a long simmering process-It was very good. After enjoying all that broth,I went after the brisket and noodles, Slurp City for sure!! The noodles were wonderful and the brisket was nicely flavored and textured. I really enjoyed my #3 from Sit Lo Saigon. That being said,after dissecting their menu a bit,I feel like I missed out on some quality items. The Oxtail or the Bone Marrow versions of their pho sounds like they would be a whole different level-so I plan on coming back when I'm out here and plan on giving one or both of those pho bowls a try-they sound amazing and if the broth in those versions are anything like the #3,it will for sure be a memorable meal. Since moving to Elk Grove, we have looked at a few places to find our "go-to" pho spot and this place is among the top on our list. I ordered the special pho and bone marrow with broth. I was extremely happy with the portion size of it! Most of the time when I order pho at other places, I finish too quickly. But here, I always leave with a full tummy with left overs to take home as well. The pho broth has a rich, deep flavor and the ingredients taste fresh. And the bone marrow is MASSIVE with a good amount of marrow in it as well as extra meat on the outside. I also love how they have tea as one of the complimentary drink options. My son has been raving about this place for months so I decided to finally check it out. This is a place where you walk right up to the register and place your order. The gals behind the register were super friendly and helpful for a first timer. I opted for the #1 pho bowl with ribeye and my husband decided to try the #4 pho bowl with brisket and meatballs and the fresh thicker noodles. The place was plenty busy but there were a few empty tables. Nice and clean inside. One of the workers already had a table ready for us with all the extras already at the table. The extras consist of bean sprouts, Thai basil, cilantro, limes and sliced jalapeños for those who like it spicy. I think our pho was brought out in about 5 minutes, crazy fast! We experimented with the sauces at the table - hoisin was my favorite addition. As for the dish....WOW. Finally got to try this place out after hearing about it for so long! I didn't know they had an Elk Grove location because I was more familiar with their Davis location. My friend and I came here to eat dinner after shopping around the plaza that this place was located in. Since it was in a busy shopping plaza, there was plenty of parking. Looking at the menu, they mainly had pho with also some appetizers and other dishes, but from what I've heard, they are known for their pho bowls. I didn't realize it until they brought my bowl of pho to the table but the menu didn't have options of pho bowl sizes to choose from because when my pho bowl got brought to my table, the bowl was huuuuge! This might be the best authentic Vietnamese place in town. The food was so savory and flavorful. The portion size was fairly large compared to some of the other places in Elk Grove. I would say the fresh noodles are way better than the dried ones so ask before ordering. Sometimes they are out of the fresh ones. The meat was very tender. The ordering system is akin to Subway - upon entering, choose and pay for your bowl of pho, and then find your seat in the restaurant. For the month of September (2025), they are doing a Happy Hour special from 10pm-Midnight for pho only. Half off any pho entrees! There was a line out the door and a full dining room. They do have patio seating and since it was a nice night, we asked to sit outside. You order at the counter and they will seat you, rather than you having to find a table. The line wasn't too bad and once seated, food comes out pretty fast. The staff was working hard to bring out food, bus tables, and get customer requests. Our table did not have any Sriracha or hoisin sauce so I kindly asked one of the workers zooming by and he brought a big bottle of Sriracha but forgot about the hoisin sauce. No biggie because the broth didn't really need it. We did ask for more vegetable toppings and they brought that out right away. I ordered the #17 "premium pho," with the oxtail, short rib, and tendon (normally $19.50). I really enjoyed the broth, just wish the temperature was a little hotter. I needed more broth and less noodles. I was disappointed with the meat. The one tiny oxtail I found was not tender at all and the big bone of short rib had a lot of meat, but wasn't tender either. And actually, my first bite of the rib, the meat was cold! I ended up giving the big bone with all that meat on it to my dog, so she was loving it. I made a last-minute detour to Elk Grove's Sit Lo Saigon Vietnamese Noodle House, and I'm so glad I did. I was actually headed to Journey to the Dumpling, but suddenly got a craving for comforting, made-from-scratch food--and pho was calling my name. I stopped in to order take-out for lunch after some meetings in Elk Grove. I easily found parking in the large lot in the shopping plaza and made my way inside. I walked up to the front and was greeted immediately. The menu has many pho options and then some drink options. I opted for the #13 Saigon Pho ($16.50) and I opted to get the fresh noodles (+$1.50) and waited while it was prepared. It didn't take long before I was being handed a well packed bag of food and I made my way home to enjoy it. Everything was packed really well. The container of broth was full, where I've had many to-go order experiences from other places that don't fill the broth all the way. The bean sprouts, thai basil and limes were packed together in a bag, the noodles, pickled jalepenos and meat were also packed together nicely. On top of this they included hoisin, red pepper oil, and sriracha. The portion was very generous and I put everything in a large metal mixing bowl after I reheated the broth. The broth itself was a bit salty for my taste, but with the inclusion of hoisin and sambal (from home) I was able to make it perfect for my tastes. I like mine a bit sweet and spicy. Typically pho is better at the restaurant, and their restaurant has plenty of space. I loved the mural on the wall and when I was there I saw a large table where a group had just finished eating. I revisited this restaurant because my dad heard about it from my aunt and wanted to give it a try too. We came here a little before 12pm for lunch, and it was pretty packed inside. I like how they have self serve water and iced tea available! They also provide complimentary white pickled onions, and you can always ask for more if it is not enough. I ordered a #11, and all of our orders came out super fast. I was very hungry and devoured it. The broth was slightly more flavorful this time and less oily. I wish that they would give more noodles because it was not enough for me, but they did give a good amount of meat and tendon. You order before being seated and the waitress brings everything out to you pretty quickly. The decor remained the same, but they've changed the seating around, so it's more open now. Pho was good and service was good. Ordered the #13 and it came out quick. Good portion size, broth was good. I will be back, I gave it 3 stars cause the broth was hot but I like my pho broth be super hot. Definitely a good place and even better that they stay open late. This is my new favorite spot to get pho. It's located near Journey to the dumpling and next to dip and dots ice cream. Order at the counter like a Chipotle restaurant as soon as you enter and then they would assign a table number for you to sit at after ordering. My favorite is the #17 with tendon. Drinks are self serve. Food comes out pretty fast. The broth is so good and I love how they serve fresh noodles. I can never finish the entire bowl myself, so I always have leftovers each and every time I go. We also love the pickled onions that they serve on the side and also ngo (type of herb).
