One of our favorite spots that my husband and I keep coming back to whenever we're in town. The food is consistently solid, food always comes out hot, flavorful, and comforting. The broth has that slow-simmered taste that makes it feel like a real go-to, not just a quick meal. Their menu is simple & not overwhelming, yet still offer many dishes. The service is another reason we don't really stray elsewhere. The staff are always friendly without being overbearing, and they check in at the right times. Orders come out pretty quick, even when it's busy. They keep it organized & running smoothly. It's a relaxed and easygoing atmosphere, nothing too flashy but clean and welcoming with ample of parking spaces available. Not to mention they can also accommodate larger groups. Overall, it's chef kiss. We shall return!

Good service. The Bun Bo Hue came out pretty fast. BBH lack in flavor it's not spicy and it's missing the pig foot

Okay this place has been in our backyard for years and I don't know why this is the first time we've tried it, it's so good and their portions are great! And maybe we went here before but it's been for sure at least 3 years since any recollection can be made haha Anyway- Hubby and I went for a quick lunch date, ordered 2 pho bowls- he got the thinly sliced rib eye steak. And I got the round steak with meatballs The bowls are $15/$16 each Huge bowls Had to take mine to go The broth is filtered really well and tastes clean The soup comes out hot The meat is good quality They have the hoisin and sriracha right there for you Service is friendly And the dining experience is casual - you walk in and they're you sit where you want Will definitely be coming back!

Solid spot for both pho & banh mi with reasonable prices, generous portions, good flavors, and quick service. It's a small-medium sized casual spot good for a chill meal.

Had lunch on a Thursday with 6 friends a little wait for the table it wasn't so bad. Place has only a few tables but everything looked clean and inviting. We ordered A variety of dishes and 2 appetizers. The pork eggrolls were outstanding crispy on the outside with flavorable filling. I had a noodle dish sorry don't know the name But really enjoyed it I asked for clear noodles it had ground pork and shrimp and all The aromatics went for the soup on the side which is so much better as you can control The amount of broth. I just remember it was the number 11 and listed as a speciality and it certainly was. Looking foward to coming in again.

Went in for a banh mi at lunch just now to go. The sandwich was made quickly and so fresh. Wow. This pork belly banh mi is amazing. 10/10. Their sauce. The pickled veggies. The pork belly and soft bread. All of it. Delicious. $10 and some change. Pretty fair to not have to drive to the south. I'd like to try more Sandwiches next time. Service was quick and friendly.

Came here for the Bun Rieu based on a friends recommendation. And I'm happy to say it did not disappoint! The portion was huge, I couldn't finish and took the rest home. The remainder of my leftovers filled the entire to-go full container! Love all the different things that's included, especially the pork blood. My husband ordered their pho dac biet but was disappointed that the broth was way too sweet and a bit too salty as well. The noodles in the pho weren't good either. I'd stuck to the bun rieu for this place. I didn't like the bathroom experience, it's at the end of a long narrow hallway that's crowded with stuff, so there's not enough room for when people are walking in the opposite direction. And the bathroom itself was kinda gross.

We were craving some Vietnamese noodle soups, and I especially wanted to try their pho (my go-to item). The overall bow was a decent sized portion. The broth tasted both a little too salty and a little too sweet, and the noodles were slightly undercooked. The staff were friendly and attentive and made sure we were checked in on every so often. Overall, the food was decent, but not the best.

Came on a week day, still were pretty busy and filled with people. Decent sized pho and pretty tasty too. Lots of flavor in the broth. Probably one of my top pho places in the area. Staff were super friendly and there were a ton of tables to sit at. Can get lively inside and it's a great place for families too

Franklin x Laguna I went in the late afternoon when the lunch rush was dwindling. It's a small restaurant. I was seated, ordered and I wasn't a fan of the Pho Chay. I didn't like it because the vegetables were overcooked/mushy and it's a prominent component of the soup. I don't know if that's normal here but that's what I got. Service was good. When I was done, I got up and paid at the counter.

We always love to eat all here at this restaurant. The egg roll is really crispy and the food is always very fresh. Service is good ! They try to get to you as soon as possible.

The big three B's here (the BBB): Bun Rieu, Bun Bo Hue (BBH) and Banh Mi Xiu Mai are my go-to items. Soupwise, the broth of the bowls has good depth of flavor, perfect portion size and the accompanying veggie tray has all the right herbs. BBH for instance, has a generous portion of authentic pork blood and ultra tender beef slices; the addition of a small spoon of hot chili oil rounds it all out. Banh Mi Xiu mai is Vietnamese meat balls in tomatoey red sauce that pairs heavenly with the crunchy crusted french bread. On another note, the egg rolls, though crispy, contain an oily taste that does not agree with me so I am not a fan of that one. The fresh springs rolls on the other hand, are great. Servers - ultra nice and accommodating. Dining room is kept in reasonable order and generally clean each time I have visited. Pho Bistro is now a place I frequent when craving the BBB.

Fast, tasty and comes with service with a smile. Can't go wrong with Pho Bistro! Yes, this place stays busy but trust that your food will come fast, fresh and hot once you are seated. They are generous with their portions and doesn't disappoint in taste. My husband loves this place and so do I. We make it a point to come here, not just to have a great meal but to support the business. This restaurant was one of the restaurant that provided excellent service during the Covid Era and I will always remember how they treated the Healthcare workers and how they extended their business during trying times. I pray for continued success and blessings.

Hu tieu - bland, cardboard tasting - wish the server asked what noodles I wanted instead of serving me up this hot mess.

Walked in during Sunday dinnertime, and the place was full. Nothing breathtaking in the decor department. It felt like most of the other pho establishments I've been to. Luckily, a table was finishing up, so we sat within 5 minutes. Side note: the front is a bit awkward because it looks like you should stop right when you walk in and be greeted by a host, but you need to keep going past to the cash register. Don't get caught standing awkwardly as we did. When we sat and got a chance to look at the menu, we were very pleased with the prices. Very affordable, and when we looked around, we saw big bowls and plates, so we thought we were in for a reasonably priced feast. We started with calamari. My husband got a small chicken pho bowl, and I got a beef vermicelli bowl. First off, the calamari, while the pieces looked humongous, was mostly just fried batter. The calamari itself was super chewy and tough. I ended up stripping most of the fried part off so I could really chew into the calamari. I did like the veggies and garnish, though. I ended up nibbling on those afterwards since I was so disappointed by the calamari. I had a small bite of my husband's pho bowl (pretty decent amount for a small) and honestly wish I had gotten that instead of my dish. My vermicelli dish had a meager amount of beef and didn't hold much of any of the flavor I tried to add. Perhaps I didn't add enough sauce or seasonings (I don't usually get vermicelli dishes). Still, I think I enjoy the overall experience of eating pho more since I can always easily take a sip of the broth to chase my food down. I probably will go back to my usual places for pho, but I feel there are still some dishes where this place shines. Unfortunately, those weren't the ones we ordered this time.

The menu had a bit too much going on and in my opinion -- restaurants should have a speciality rather than offer so many items because taste and quality loses itself somewhere in the middle of 100 different menu options. I know my partner and I are pho snobs but what we had wasn't even pho. The broth was basically hot water with a tad of salt or chicken bouillon. There were no hints of star anise, cinnamon (often referred to as Saigon cinnamon), cloves, black cardamom, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds -- nada. And the noodles were way too overcooked making my dish so difficult to eat. I ordered pho and it looked like pho -- but it tasted nothing close to it. I need to share that as a reality to the owner and staff so they can make changes to the quality of their food -- otherwise, I don't know if this place will survive the competition. Also, I observed a staff member behind the counter blending a smoothie of some sort, tasting it with a spoon, and then putting back said spoon into the smoothie to stir before pouring it into a cup (and I saw the cup delivered to a party a few tables down from us). That probably isn't very hygienic and it's sad to see that's how things are handled behind the scenes here. I just happened to look over from our table and was pretty disgusted. Moving on, I hope these guys shape up because the quality and taste of food was actually bad. And, I can rarely say that about restaurants I patronize because I love supporting local small businesses. Best of luck to these guys.

Believe me, I've been wanting to try their pho as well, but every single time, their BBH speaks to me. Simply put, it is a comforting hug in a bowl, filled generously with tender slices of meat, homemade meatballs, cha, pork blood cubes, and al dente noodles, all topped off with piping hot broth. It is served with a mountain of fresh herbs, and I always add extra chili oil and sate (that they keep in the fridge) for that extra oomph of flavor. While this location does not serve their BBH with a pork hock, I really don't care at all, because of how cohesive their bowls are every single time. Those homemade meatballs are really an element of the dish that I have not found at any other restaurants, even at BBH restaurants in the bay. Located right off Grant Line in the Sheldon area of Elk Grove, the restaurant is not big, but still has ample seating. The private parking lot has never been full when I've eaten there, but I also have never gone on a weekend. I usually enjoy coming when they very first open, and am always seated immediately. During lunch rush, I have noticed it can get pretty busy, with patrons dining in and to go orders alike. The owner is so nice and I rarely even look at the menu since I always know what I want. I don't usually order drinks as I like to get matcha in Elk Grove, but the one time I got a Thai tea, it was perfectly balanced with a good strength to it. Their menu on the whole is small, but still varied, so there is something for everyone's cravings. If you follow their Facebook page, they will announce weekend specials as well, so stay tuned for those. One day I swear I will try their pho, but for now, Pholicious is one of my top spots for BBH in the Sacramento area. There's an ordering kiosk but they also take your order at…read morethe counter, which we ended up doing because the ordering kiosk didn't have all the menu items on the board. The associate that helped us take our order was very nice. What seemed to be "display" spring rolls in a takeout container sat underneath a sign near the register that said they now offered - Spring Rolls! I was craving some so I ordered it and watched in horror as the cashier took the container that had been sitting there before I arrived and placed it next to the sandwich making area. Maybe it was just a signal to the person making food that spring rolls were ordered and to make some, but nope, I was served shrimp spring rolls that had been sitting there on the counter, not temperature controlled. When we asked to give it back for a refund we were given one, but we were also told that it had been made recently since people order them all the time. At least put it in the fridge, maybe. Then while we were eating another worker was mopping the floors all around us, and she actually bumped into me twice with her elbow, that's how close she was. Maybe don't mop the lobby while folks are eating. All that on top of seeing the person making food grab a broom with gloved hands that then prepared sandwiches without changing gloves or washing hands made me decide never to come back again.
