Pho Mi is a half Mexican half Vietnamese small shop not Asian fusion but just 2 separately cuisines in 1 shop. I didn't try the Mexican food since it's called Pho Mi so might as well try the pho. They make the pho basically from a refrigerator storing the soup, heat it on a pan and use some big water bucket for the noodles. Never seem that before in any Pho place, typically you got a giant soup pot waiting since you would use it all the time so never saw anyone need to boil the soup broth to order. I got the deluxe pho, aka pho dac biet it was $14 going to $15 with card, came with a few dry pieces of meat tripe and brisket, the meatball was okay and I did like the raw beef slice but didn't so definitely not cheap. The broth was okay but kind of watery I think I got too used to the rich broth at pho 75. Also pho street is down the street(literally) and they serve a fresher, cheaper, better tasting bowl of pho. Unfortunately for me, this place is a future pass. Why are you having a small place make Mexican food and viet food? I didn't try the Mexican food but with the lack of any customers at lunchtime I'm not sure if it's good or bad. They should focus on making your pho better not on tortillas since the place is called pho mi Rittenhouse. read more

Their pho is decent but where they really shine is their banh mi. We have tried dozens of different restaurants' banh mis but my god... their pork belly banh mi blows everyone else out of the water. 10/10 and I'd like it to be my last meal if I'm ever on death row. The crispy yet perfectly chewy bread, the melt in your mouth pork belly, the sauce, just *chefs kiss* Don't sleep on their broken rice though. Their pork chops are a great portion, not dried out like so many other places, and if you add a side of grilled pork and an egg (or two) on the side it becomes the perfect meal for two. We got 2 grilled pork vermicelli noodle dish and the grilled pork spring rolls. The vermicelli was pretty good. I'd give it 4/5 -- the noodles are thicker than what I'm used to eating at other Vietnamese restaurants so that was a personal bummer.
