I've been coming here for about 5 years. It is a family favorite and the food is consistently delicious. I've tried several dishes here! One of the photos is the chicken pho with extra veggies. The broth is magic, anytime I feel a chill in my bones or a cough coming I make my way over. The fried rice and shaken beef are also quite tasty. The fried rice has a smoky flavor that leaves a lasting impression. This place doesn't disappoint. My favorite drink is one called an avocado soup. It has fresh avocado on the bottom, clear boba and a variety of jellies. It is so fun to eat! Even the alcoholic beverages are good. The server already knows my family so they bring us the usuals as soon as we arrive. They are extremely friendly and it is very obvious that it's a family business.

I was in the area with friends and wanted a place to eat dinner and found this restaurant via Yelp that looked good and it didnt disappoint. The ambience and seating was good where we were seated and allowed for conversation at normal volume and not overhearing others conversation. The selection of appetizers, entrees and drinks was really good. We got fresh spring rolls to share which were great especially because I love anything with peanut (dipping sauce). We all decided to get pho. I went with the Pho Bo (pictured, beef broth based) which came with a choice of three meats (beef based) from a selection of six and I got the steak, flank and brisket. This was just the meal for me to get on a cold and rainy night. I got the large which was more than enough portion size (I have half th broth left over). I also got a drink, the matcha Coco latte which I really enjoyed, it was creamy but not to heavy nor sweet and while it was a iced drink it didn't leave me cold. The staff were nice, attentive and helped with recommendations. This is a great restaurant for the quality, quantity and price of the offerings. I would definitely go again and recommend to other.

Life is Short. F.....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends. Funny story we saw that day and wanted to go to pho 89. But then looked it up and it was closed and we were in the parking lot at pho 98. Nice clean atmosphere good service at the shrimp toast fresh spring roll. The pork chop w egg the pho special and the special bun (noodles). Everything tasted fine, and they had everything that we were looking for. If you're in the neighborhood, I suggest checking it out.

What a great neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant! Love the fact that they open at 10 AM daily! There is a private parking lot at the front of the restaurant, so come early to find a good spot. The menu is expansive, which is typical of Vietnamese places. The inside is spacious. And the air quality is good right at opening by mid-day. CO2 was under 800. The service is very friendly! Food is served fast. I tried the small size of pho, and it had a good amount of noodles. I also tried the broken rice with Korean bbq, and it was delicious! Highly recommend it! The price is a bit "high" but reasonable considering the greater Boston places for Vietnamese places. I would say 4 stars overall, but bumping it up to 5 stars to support local businesses. Hope to be back again soon!

My partner and I ordered 25. pho dac biet (x-large) and 66. bun thit nuong cha gio - TASTE: 4/5 - the grilled pork was fantastic! Hit the spot. Highlights of the pho included the brisket, tripe, and flavorful broth TEXTURE: 5/5 - the combo of vermicelli, fried egg roll, and tender pork was lovely. Added plenty of bean sprouts to my pho for a nice crisp bite PRICE: 4/5 - the x-large was a little steep at $17.95... SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - however, it was definitely a huge portion. Ate about half and my partner finished the rest SERVICE: 4/5 - walked in at 5:30pm on a Friday and only a few tables were filled. Our food came out about 15min later ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - decent sized space w a large bar PARKING: 4/5 - just enough parking spots in the lot directly in front of Pho 98

This place is my mom's go to. The staff is always friendly. We got the seafood soup. The vegetables and seafood were very fresh.

The parking lot is small but parking is plentiful in this part of Randolph. The restaurant is modern and clean and has a friendly atmosphere. The pork chip was very delicious with a good marinade with nice grilled taste. Would come back to try other dishes.

    Sour Sop Green Tea

The beef pho with steak and meatball was very good. I got a small and still couldn't finish all the broth but ate all the noodles and meat and felt very full. My soursop green tea took a while to come out but it was also very good.

Never had a chance to try their food yet but had an egg coffee to go and it sent me to heaven . Egg coffee is a Vietnamese drink traditionally prepared with robusta coffee with sugar, sweetened condensed milk with egg yolks whisked in. It might be hard to imagine, but strangely enough the egg yolks actually start tasting like soft and creamy meringue in your coffee. It's delicious drink that's well known in Vietnam . So I would recommend people that haven't try it yet .

Actually, besides veggies, you can also get meat balls and small sausages, as well as stuff like Inoki mushrooms, "cloud ear" fungus, etc. The selection is pretty big, Then there is a sauce bar where you make your own hotpot dipping sauce. From the menu, you can order all the meats you want. They pretty much have all the items you would expect from a Chinese hotpot restaurant in the Boston or Quincy area. The meats you order come fast, and you can cook them up in your personal sized hotpot. Between the quick service for the meats and your own ability to refill with any veggies you want, you are almost always eating, and you spend almost no time waiting,. All veggies and meats were well presented, fresh, and tasty. Of interest, this restaurant uses robot waiters to help the human ones. So while you are waiting for the meats you ordered, you will often find a robot cart silently rolling up to your table. As soon as this happens, a waitress will quickly appear next to the robot and hand-carry all your plates of meats from the cart to your table.. This is super useful because sometimes the robot cart will be carrying 15-20 dishes, far more than a single waiter or waitress can carry. So this isn't just a gimmick, but a useful tool that speeds up service. I've gone to Hotpot One a total of 3 times, and my dining experience has been consistent and good. I would consider it one of the better places in the Quincy area to have a nice AYCE hotpot dinner,.

Then Covid came, and this restaurant rebranded itself as an a-la-cart Korean BBQ and sushi restaurant. I tried it once after the rebranding. It was relatively expensive, and neither the hotpot nor the sushi stood out. With food that was middling at best and a higher than average price, I didn't feel it was worth returning to. So I haven't visited this place since 2022. Fast forward to last night, my family stayed up to watch football, and we got hungry and wanted to buy some takeout. Many places that we were interested in were closed by 10 PM, and Royal Hotpot was still open. So we bought several items from them for takeout. We live 20 minutes away and did our own pickup. When we got home with the food, we found the following: I had a beef Bibimbop. 20 minutes after pickup from the restaurant, it was already cold. Not ice cold, but room temperature at best. There was no sauce. You eat a Bibimbop by first pouring in the special Bibimbop sauce and getting its taste onto everything. But, as I said, no sauce. The Bibimbop itself? A relatively small bowl that had plenty of rice, a boatload of seaweed that smelled fishy, and not much beef even when I stirred the food around to find what beef I could. There was not much. So, I put a spoonful of rice into my mouth. All I could taste was the fishiness of the seaweed,. There was no beef taste or any other taste that I could discern. So for almost $30 bucks I got a dry bowl if rice and mostly seaweed that was devoid of any taste you could enjoy. It was basically dry seaweed rice, with very little meat, and no sauce. I have eaten Korean food in general and Bibimbop in particular from maybe 20 restaurants in the Greater Boston area. I would rate this one the worst, by a significant margin, that I have ever had. I ended up putting the entire bowl, after two bites, into the fridge. Why didn't I throw it away? I feed stray cats behind my house, and this will go to the cats tonight. The two mouthfuls that I tried to eat? I spit those out into the garbage because it tasted so vile in my mouth. As for the other order, it was mostly sushi. My family member who absolutely LOVES sushi of any kind did eat his order, but he muttered that it was definitely subpar. So there you have it. If you ever have a yen for Korean or Japanese cuisine and you don't find many places open, don't come to this place. Eat some canned food from home, or make some instant noodles. This place, for me, was an awful choice. After putting Royal Hotpot's food away, I made an instant noodle to fill my hunger. that instant noodle was 5 times better than my expensive takeout. Note: I only give 1 star reviews for food that is literally spoiled, or when restaurant staff give egregiously awful service, 2 stars is the rating I generally give for really bad, unenjoyable food.
