Came in on a Thursday night, 1 hour before closing time, and it was packed. Luckily, we got seated at the last table. Based on our experience, food was ok. I had high hopes for the chicken wings, but I did not enjoy it at all. It has a strong chicken smell that it was so hard for me to eat. I couldn't stand it. I'm not sure if it was the glazed but the smell was throwing me off. Chili oil wontons was just ok, nothing that stands out and I had better. A new pho place in our area so we had to try it! Pho Momma offers a variety of dishes and we keep coming back for more. Their pho broth is clean and flavorful. I like how they have x-small options because it's the perfect size if you want to try other appetizers. Their spring rolls are really flavorful and we like to get the one with pork and the crispy layers. We also enjoy their fried chicken wings, wontons (cream cheese and artichoke), chili wontons, and the beef curry. Ambiance is cute and simple. Service is great and very attentive. Can't wait to try the rest of their appetizers and I also like the fact they put your pho in stainless steel bowls because it helps keep it hot. :) read more

I came here for Mother's day and it was the best!! I'd been here once before so I knew it was good but I was super happy because my mom absolutely loved it! She called the service "excellent" and the food "superb"! She also appreciated the decor, especially the marble wall. Its so pretty. I had similar feelings. We started off with the fresh shrimp spring rolls and crab wontons. The spring rolls were delicate and light and the crab wontons had a prefect fry crust with a delicious creamy filling. I also got a sour lychee tea for drink which was the perfect combo of sour and sweet! For our main course we got the chicken and lean beef soup, and both had great flavor. Guess we ordered all the wrong stuff. The sausage egg rolls were just ok. Nothing special. The crab cheese wontons were not seasoned. Tasted like...unseasoned cream cheese. The chicken curry was flavorless. No seasoning. Other than being pointed at a table we were to sit at from across the room and having our orders taken, no table service despite having ample staff for the small dining area. Waited 40 min for the experience. Hap hazard self check in on a blank piece of paper had patrons nervous about missing thier table with no management of the process in such a busy place. There was a smaller cramped seating/waiting area inside but nothing outside to handle the overflow. Had to go to the register area to ask for a refill and a take out box due to no follow up at the table from server. The interior was ok. Nothing fancy. Nice colors and some faux plants. So, kinda dont get it. Why is this one place outta all the other pho restaurants in Sac touting "Michellin" anything. This restaurant is one of the several pho restaurants in Sacramento that we would like to try. We were at Folsom Blvd and looking for Pho for lunch. Pho Mamma was busy at the lunch time, we've waited for about 8 minutes when we got the seat. The transaction was quick and the staff was nice. The broth of pho was very flavorful, there was also a decent amount of rare beef in the broth which was great, the noodles were cooked well and not overcooked. Heard about this place for some time. The restaurant was surprisingly small and dark inside. I expected it to be larger. Staff were pretty good but I don't get the hype. Food took a little too long to come out. The bowl of pho was a little plain. The broth had flavor but it was a little oily and salty tasting. We also go some spring rolls and a salad spring roll. The spring rolls were good, but the sauce is different than what you normally see in Vietnamese restaurants. I didn't like the sauce but you might. The salad spring rolls were was pretty good though. I got it with the salmon but probably should have gotten the beef or shrimp. The salmon was on the fishy side. Overall the food was ok, but I probably wouldn't come back. LOL My friend got the chicken pho and I got the pho #1, which is basically the special/combo pho with everything in it. We killed our bowls, drank all the broth - EMPTIED the bowls like how your mom would yell at you to do as a kid lol. That's saying something 'cause I know damn well at many pho spots, I am not drinking all the broth!! We were both so so so satisfied! My friend even said that he never finishes pho like that, so he was shocked at how delicious it was. I don't even know how to describe the pho, it was just perfect! It wasn't overly salty or anything! Btw, instead of the normal ceramic pho bowls that burn you, they use heat insulated stainless steel bowls! I had to Google that sh*t lol, I believe that's what they are... 'cause when the server gal was bringing our food out, I was even like, "Omg how is she doing that?? Solid Pho spot! Solid! Stopped in today by myself while running some errands for the wife. Place was packed, I think they are new. Placed my name, party of 1. Was quickly sat and served. Ordered a small #1, your Pho with a little bit of everything. Excellent! Super tasty broth. All the ingredients were also super yummy. No complaints here. The price is also really nice. The service was fantastic and the whole staff seemed to work like a fine oiled machine! Loved it, I will definitely be back. Next time with the whole family bam, be ready. I've been to pho momma a couple times now ...first time was great... ever since then it went downhill with customer service and quality ..one time I told them I didn't like a appetizer and they took it off my table and still made me pay even though I had ONE bite... I said next time you do that mention that we still have to pay. I would've gave it to my roommate or someone.. that was not fair to me at all. Second time we went we wanted the pickled jalapeños that you have to pay for now just because one customer stole a jar of them.. now we all have to pay the consequences of someone else. We came on a Sunday evening. The parking is tight. I would recommend parking further to avoid getting your car dinged. Otherwise, they had a steady flow of traffic of patrons. We did not have to wait to be seated. Food wise- food was over hyped in my option. The pho broth was lacking in depth. Portion sizes are smaller compared to other pho places. And meat was lacking for the size we ordered. Lemongrass chicken bowl was a miss for me as well. The chicken lacked flavor. Probably due to the fact that it was all chicken breast, which was also over cooked. It didn't have much other than some bean sprouts, meat and some herb (greens) . So long story short we asked for a kids pho and a small beef stew but when getting the bill we were charged for an x-small adult pho but only got 2 beef pieces and 2 half sized meatballs (which is their kids size) without asking us if we still wanted pho they charged $11 (which should have more meat) vs kids $8 because we did not have a child under 6yrs of age and I brought it to the owners attention and they did nothing. This situation pissed me off and I would never be back!!! I don't care how many Michelin stars they get. Make it right with customers or if they had brought it to my attention that there was an additional charge since there was no child present we would've made a decision to keep it or order something else. 1st time here and I've definitely been won over. For one it's super cute in here. I love the blue booth seats & the greenery. They had some R& B playing. That's what I'm talking about I ordered the half & half, fat brisket and tofu, and noodles/broth for my kiddos. They LOVED IT! It was sooo good. The broth was beefy and hearty. It can stand on its own. I'm a chili lover so I added jalapeños & their chili oil. The chili oil was the bomb ! You can taste the garlic, it wasn't just crushed peppers like most places. Got this place for the first time to go. We got 2 large combination pho and a small shrimp pho. Broth was very flavorful, more fatty/oily than other places but still delicious. My only complaints are, similar to what others say, the portions are very small. At most pho places id normally go to we can share a large between 2 people but not here. The restaurant was a nice, cozy establishment, very clean and right off the bat the waitress greeted us with a smile. I've heard of this spot a couple months ago and finally had a chance to stop by for lunch. It's a cute little restaurant with a nice vibe. We started out with ordering shrimp rolls. It came out fresh and hot! As soon as I bit into it and realized it had noodles inside..let me just say damn, it's was so good! The next item we tried were the fish sauce wings and everything about it was perfect. My friend and I got the beef pho and it came out so hot and brother was oh so good! I must say everything was on point from the taste to temperature hot off the stove! The cherry on top was their service was awesome. They kept checking in on us to make sure we were good and they were very nice. They also had boba options for drinks but I didn't get a I try any. It did look amazing when others ordered it. I'm Vietnamese and grew up eating pho, so maybe I'm a bit more critical. 1st of all, me and my friend were the only Vietnamese there in a packed dining room and our server didn't understand Vietnamese... 2.5 Not good enough for a 3 but not bad enough for a 2. The ambiance was cute, everything looked clean and modern. The service was horrendous. The girl with the blonde hair, tattoos, and face piercings was so rude and I'm not sure why. It was a busy night I understand she could've just been tired but she looked like she just didn't want to be there at all. We got drinks and she placed it down without saying anything and left and when I said thank you she didn't acknowledge it. It was my first time here and had some questions about the menu and she was very blunt, point blank and did not help at all. The host who also has blonde hair was also a bit rude as she called for my name and as I was literally walking up in front of her to go check in, she calls again and when I'm in front of her, she asks for __? Like...yes that's why I'm here. She just said everything with a tone and attitude and gestured toward our seat and when we asked to clarify she responded rudely. Their only saving grace was the girl with black hair clipped up with a silver clip. She was the only one who was kind and checked up on us and did not have a tone. She helped clarify the questions I had about the menu which I really appreciate because the other girl just didn't wanna help me. If it weren't for her I'd gladly 0 them out but I left an 18% tip which is still very generous for the service I received from the other girls. Food is relatively gentrified. I think it is a middle point between gentrified and authentic. The menu specifically will show you that and that's why I had a few questions about it. Their noodle soup is more solely just pho but they have a photo on the wall that is advertised as a spicy pho which I presumed to be Bun Bo Hue inspired but the menu states it as a beef stew with carrots (traditionally it would be bo kho) hence my confusion because it is described differently from the menu and the photo on the wall and my presumption of what it is as a viet person. The soup was good but it did not come out hot enough and I had a few noodles still clumped together; the temperature was more so warm as it wasn't hot enough to separate the noodles and I didn't have to blow on it when it just came out. The salt and pepper wings were good, pretty hard to mess that up. Their spring rolls were interesting...I got the butter beef spring roll and did not taste butter but rather a more fish sauce marinated flavor (no I did not dip it in the fish sauce). It's a bit difficult to describe but definitely not what you would get at other places and the carrots on top were not pickled either. We asked for the spring roll salad bowl but the rude server just wrote down the beef spring roll rather than the salad bowl so I wasn't able to try/review it. The garlic noodles had potential but it was just very bland and flat - it had nothing going for it. The taro and mango smoothies were good but my boba did freeze in it and somehow expanded? So I wasn't even able to get it up the straw. Not necessarily their fault I just never had boba in a smoothie freeze in that way.
