We went to eat pho on 1/5/24. There was a lot of people waiting to eat there so thought it would be a great spot. There were 5 of us and they sat us at a table for 4 due to the amount of space that they had. I looked at their website and their restaurant. I had no idea that they charge me $19.98 for seating 5 ppl at a tiny table that barley fit us. If I was properly sat at a table for 5 then I would not have been so upset. Plus I left a tip. I did not see all of this detail until I saw my credit card transaction as my husband paid the bill and did not look at it. If you can please let your customer know that you charge 15% for seating of 5. I am disappointed and disputing this transaction. Please at least tell your customers prior to just charging them. Pho Momma easily has the best pho I have ever tasted. The richness of the broth, the tenderness of the meat, and the freshness of the veggies is all outstanding. Their fried wontons are also absolutely mind blowing in any flavor. They also offer delicious specialty drinks and teas--which you can order and receive immediately if that's all you're looking for. It's a smaller restaurant and they try and fit as many parties as they can. The service is fast and kind, any one of the waiters will check on you. Be prepared to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to be seated, especially on the weekend. It's very worth it, though. This was our first time dining at this establishment, and it was 100% the worst service/experience ever! We waited for roughly 40 mins to be seated and we ordered the Sweet Garlic Fish Sauce Chicken Wings. As the food came out and was placed on our table, we each grabbed a chicken wing and took a bite. The server then came back and then stated that they have us the wrong chicken wing order (Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings). They offered to fix our order and then took the plate of wings to the back. She then came back and gave us back the same wings and said that she'll make another order for us since we had already touched the wings. So after a couple minutes, we received our correct chicken wing order and proceeded to finish our meal. We asked for the bill and as we looked over the charges we noticed that they charged us TWO times for the wings. We have no problem with paying for the food but we felt like it wasn't our responsibility to pay extra for something we didn't order. We took the bill and talked it over with the server about how we were charged twice for a mistake that wasn't made by us. As we exchanged words, the owner came out aggressively and started arguing with us about what had happened... no apologies, never asked us for our side of the story at all. He started yelling at us and cursing stating that we were yelling at his daughter (the server) when we have video footage of us speaking normally trying to resolve the issue. He then told his daughter to take the "f*cking wings off their bill and get them out of here". I'm surprised how they managed to get a Michelin guide with that kind of service. This is my favorite place to get pho in Sac now as a lot of the places I used to go to have went down in quality. The restaurant is clean and has a very cute interior. The service is also quick for just having two servers. I ordered a medium number 2 pho which was very flavorful. They are generous with the meat but I think my bowl could've used a bit more noodles. I also tried their garlic noodles which were amazing. It had a strong garlic flavor and a sauce that reminded me of carbonara. I've been hearing lots of good reviews about this place from a bunch of friends and decided to give it a try. Walking in, my husband and I were greeted right away and placed at a booth. The restaurant is kind of small, but big enough to host a party of 6 or so. The waitress was attentive and got our order as soon as possible. The food came out in a timely manner as well. I love pho so I had ordered the mix and match pho where you get to pick your two proteins. I got the thin sliced beef with tripe. When it arrived, I took a sip of the broth right away. I noticed the broth had a really fatty/oily taste to it. It didn't really have all the aromas I was used to having. It tasted more like just unsalted beef broth in my opinion. I really had high hopes for the pho. I personally wouldn't recommend the pho. I was disappointed but still managed to finish it with the help of my husband. My husband ordered the salt and pepper wings. We were surprised how large the portion was and it came with lots of rice. He definitely liked the crispness it had. We also ordered the pork sausage with crispy layer spring roll. It wasn't my favorite but it was a hit for my husband. I personally wouldn't serve the spring rolls chopped up like sushi lol but they were fresh and a good starter to our meal. While the food is great, the to-go portions for their entrees are lacking. I ordered the beef stew over rice & it had 3 pieces of meat, it was too obvious to miss the count. The food also did not reach the brim of the tray, so the portion was very small. Clearly overpriced for the quantity. I will say they have great service, but was disappointed in the quantity. I like how they have x-small options because it's the perfect size if you want to try other appetizers. Their spring rolls are really flavorful and we like to get the one with pork and the crispy layers. We also enjoy their fried chicken wings, wontons (cream cheese and artichoke), chili wontons, and the beef curry. Ambiance is cute and simple. Service is great and very attentive. Let's sit down and talk about good pho places in the area. Not much to talk about until you find this spot. My husband and I moved to Folsom from the Bay Area 2 years ago. We have been in search of a decent pho place. With no luck, we've been making it at home. However, making a large pot means I'm eating a lot of leftovers for a few days. It'll save us some time and just go to Pho Momma instead. We searched for dinner options in the area after visiting friends. Pho Momma came up and we said it was worth a try. We recently had Pho in Rocklin and it was disappointing; the broth was sweet and lacked depth/seasoning/flavor. We needed desperately to find good pho. This place ROCKS. The ambiance has a chic modern vibe. The place is clean. The soup is FLAVORFUL. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy. They also have hanh dam (picked onions) that are sliced perfectly thin with actual vinegar soaked in (most places have thick slices of onion and don't even pickle them). Our children finished their bowl of noodles, devoured the fried chicken, and asked for more of our noodles. I came here for Mother's day and it was the best!! I'd been here once before so I knew it was good but I was super happy because my mom absolutely loved it! She called the service "excellent" and the food "superb"! She also appreciated the decor, especially the marble wall. Its so pretty. I had similar feelings. We started off with the fresh shrimp spring rolls and crab wontons. The spring rolls were delicate and light and the crab wontons had a prefect fry crust with a delicious creamy filling. I also got a sour lychee tea for drink which was the perfect combo of sour and sweet! For our main course we got the chicken and lean beef soup, and both had great flavor. This review is the based on my today (5/17/2025)'s experience. Today, we sat to the table after we waited for a while. I sat down and several minutes later, the owner of the store approached to me (without even saying hi) stating that "Did you post the review in the Yelp about the onions?" (I think she was asking to me regarding the recent review about the stale onions). I was randomly put on the spot/asked by the owner which did not make me feel comfortable. I did not want to be disrespectful so I tried to respond to her at least; she kept going on her conversation and explained to me that their onions are fresh when I didn't even ask her on that (???? lol). The customers CAN post their review based on their experiences. And, the way she randomly approached to me was very not appropriate. So, I eventually told her that "I don't feel comfortable to talk about this"; she said "okay" and then left our table. Several minutes later, while I was awaiting for the foods, I needed something from a server. So, I raised my hand to that owner. She wasn't even helping someone at that time but she still said "hold on a sec" and she eventually ENTIRELY IGNORED me afterwards and never came back to my table; instead, she was being busy going around and asking customers about how's the foods. I eventually just asked other server because I didn't want to join this game. Minutes later, when she finally approached near my table, she just ONLY skipped my table and went straight to the next table to ask "how's the foods" question. At that point, I thought this was the bizarre experience. This is not the good type of customer service and the way I was treated with rudeness (with that type of ego) was not needed. Additionally, I want to add that the raw onions they served me today, to me, it tasted off. So, just to point out, I don't think the raw onions are fresh. I am an Asian who regularly eat raw onions and honestly, I've never tasted this off taste raw onions. I spoke with the server (other server) today about this whole incident (to provide them a feedback and share this experience), especially as the owner of the store refused to assist/do the service that I paid. Even though some of the servers here were nice/professional, because of this incident, I will not come back to this place. Review on this place's foods: Pho here is okay. Small portion for the price. But, their Thai tea is good. TIP: If you are looking for good authentic places that offer good pho, you could drive further and go to the "Pho City" and "Pho Xe Lua" that are located in South Sac. These two places offer very good pho (with fresh ingredients) with cheaper price, and the experiences we had at those places are much nicer; we at least haven't experienced odd experience like above. read more

We were at Folsom Blvd and looking for Pho for lunch. Pho Mamma was busy at the lunch time, we've waited for about 8 minutes when we got the seat. The transaction was quick and the staff was nice. The broth of pho was very flavorful, there was also a decent amount of rare beef in the broth which was great, the noodles were cooked well and not overcooked. 1st time here and I've definitely been won over. For one it's super cute in here. I love the blue booth seats & the greenery. They had some R& B playing. That's what I'm talking about I ordered the half & half, fat brisket and tofu, and noodles/broth for my kiddos. They LOVED IT! It was sooo good. The broth was beefy and hearty. It can stand on its own. I'm a chili lover so I added jalapeños & their chili oil. The chili oil was the bomb ! You can taste the garlic, it wasn't just crushed peppers like most places.
