Everything I wrote in my initial review was true when it opened, but perhaps less so now. I think the original cook/crew went back to the Philippines (I vaguely remember that is where they were from) and the current crew can get food out much faster, but you can tell corners have been cut. The place that once served the best pho I've had now serves up what can best be described as serviceable pho. It's not bad, but not great either. I would say it is no better or worse that what you could get any of the numerous places in town. Bottom line: worth stopping by if you are in the neighborhood, but not really worth a trip. As the name implies it was okay but not great. We're fortunate to have an authentic place close to home but for a great bowl I will still head over to Federal or Aurora. The pho broth was a little bland and while the large amounts of basil were nice the bean sprouts were ragged and more brown than white. The family that works there is very friendly and there seemed to be many regulars while we were there for an early Saturday lunch. read more

I've been to Pho OK a half dozen times. The first 3 times were for pho which as other reviewers mention the prices are less than you pay at other pho places. I also really really like that they offer all pho's in 3 different sizes (small, medium and large). They do a really good job with pho and the broth is very tasty. I also have tried the pan fried noodle dishes which are excellent - large enough portions for the price. There are very few pho places within the SE Denver area so it is always nice to know that Pho OK is where it is. The menu is pretty extensive for a place that seems like a strictly pho place. Food is good. I seem to keep having the issue of asking for shrimp only in my pho and always receiving the full seafood bowl with only 3 shrimp in it. This is frustrating, I don't like the seafood bowl, and they also didn't put boba into my boba drink but my husbands meal was done correctly so I'm not sure what happened. read more

Breaking news: you can find pho in the east Denver metro area. Got some take out from here - ordered pho tai and egg rolls. I was very hopeful that this place would exceed my taste bud expectations however, it was all just ok. The egg rolls and the fish sauce that came with it were lacking flavor. They were pretty bland and nothing special. I have had far better elsewhere. The pho broth seemed to follow suit and was the same flavor wise. It was good, but not as good compared to others. They give a significant portion of noodles and beef, more than I could actually eat. The area is saturated with Vietnamese restaurants so I guess my standards seem to be higher as a result. If this restaurant were in a pho-sparse city then yes I'm sure it would taste outstanding. Otherwise, it's A-ok and bottom line is if you're craving it, then this shall do. read more

It is hard to find a Vietnamese restaurant that has good food and is asthetically pleasing, but they do exist! The decor is very clean and modern and the service was great. I order the beef noodle bowl with eggrolls. The vegetables were freshly cut, the cucumbers were crisp and the beef seasoned nicely. The chef came out twice to greet me and brought me extra egg rolls and fresh donuts. Yum! The portions are very sufficient and the prices are very reasonable. When I left, the server said good bye, come back tomorrow and encouraged me to return with his smile. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Vietnamese food and to anyone who has never tried it. Man, I give a lot of 4 star reviews, because to me you need to be BLOWN AWAY to get 5. But as far as pho places go in Denver, especially on the low-price-quick-service-friendly-staff-good-food spectrum, this place hits every note. We come here regularly and it's SUCH good hangover food. Nothing like some blow-your-face-off spicy noodle soup to clear up your head. Everything I've had here has been good. Their take out service is fast. Service has been a bit spotty when we've dined in but it's because it's usually 1 very hard working guy acting as waiter, bus boy, cashier, and take-out organizer. So you can't really fault him for that. This place is pretty popular. And don't say "get more staff." It's a decently big footprint for a place where pho costs $9, and I'm sure the rent isn't cheap. I've been here 3 times now and really enjoy it. The people are so friendly and kind. Our waitress always says hi to our baby and smiles/plays with him. So sweet! Pho OK? More like Pho MAZING! It has become our "go to" place on those days you're feeling too lazy to cook or just in the mood for food! We love this place for many reasons. The first obvious reason is that it's simply delicious. Their Pho broth is hearty and so flavorful without being too salty. They have lots of options which is nice too. Honestly everything that we've tried here has been great. The second reason is their prices. So affordable and their portions are very generous. Third, they are always quick! Awful, awful service. I went in for the first time a few months ago to get a bubble tea. There were 2 other customers in the store and it took a solid 15 minutes for them to make it. I think it would have taken longer if I had not let the two people working that I was going to be late for work I'd they didn't get started. Today, a friend wanted to meet there and I reluctantly agreed. This time, it was the exact opposite problem. My friend and I were chatting when the waiter came and asked for our order. We told him we needed a minute to look over the menu and returned to our conversation. Not even one minute later, he was back, ready for our order. I hadn't even gotten a chance to look at the menu. I quickly found something I liked and ordered, not wanting to go through this again. Our food came quickly (the best part of the experience). As I was getting to the bottom of my pho, I put my spoon down to wipe my mouth and the waiter came back and took my bowl away without even asking if I was done, while my friend, who was done, sat staring at an empty bowl. I know this is a low score and I really wanted pho!! This place had good reviews, was clean, and the people were very friendly. That's the reason for three stars and not two. Well, and I do think the food was fresh! I ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls. They were plain. Lettuce, bean sprouts, and a small amount of shrimp and pork. No flavor. No fresh herbs. I was disappointed. I also ordered the brisket pho. I have been craving pho for weeks so I was really excited. The broth had very little flavor. I love adding the herbs and jalapeños and sirachia, but usually all of that adds to the already great flavor where this was still just not great. Maybe it was an off day for their broth. We recently moved from NYC to Denver and are very accustomed to getting fantastic, inexpensive, fast Vietnamese food. We initially went to a few other restaurants and were underwhelmed. Then we found Pho OK. This restaurant is fantastic!!! While it certainly not high-end dining, the food is amazing, and the prices couldn't be better for the quality of food and portion size. If you live in Lowery, Crestmoor, Virginia Vale, Washington Virgina Vale, Hilltop or Gendale I HIGHLY recommend you check it out. FYI - I'm not getting compensated for this just want to make sure it stays around as we eat here 1-2 times a week as the food is Fresh, tasty, simply GOOD EATS! I am gluten-free and when I spoke to the owner and told him I needed gluten-free sauces he accommodated in a HUGE way. He went out and bought a pallet of gluten-free oyster sauce. Now all their food is gluten-free and I can enjoy it worry free. BTW - if they don't have what you want on the menu - ask and they'll try to accommodate. Enjoy! read more

Nothing wrong with the soup but nothing really great about it either? The toppings were definitely on the skimpy side and dac biet here doesn't mean "the works" deluxe. Love this place! I come here at least once a week. The food is always delicious and the veggies are fresh plus they give you a ton. I highly recommend trying the lavender smoothie! The staff is always friendly and service is quick. The restaurant is very clean. My only complaint though is from time to time I will find a piece of plastic (assuming from a bag) in my pho when I get takeout. I could see where people would be disgusted by this- doesn't prevent me from not returning because the food Is good. But some quality control is needed for sure on this front. read more

I've been here twice now and I must say that Pho OK is a little better than just OK. Perhaps it is a wise move to temper expectations since a place that is called Pho Super Awesome may struggle to meet customer expectations. What do they have here? The same stuff at every other pho restaurant, just closer to my house. They supposedly deliver, so I'm going to have to check that out in the winter. I live in southern california where, let's just say, Vietnamese cuisine is well polularized. Vermicelli rice noodles are supposed to be tender and smooth. while the rice noodles don't have much flavor of their own, they absorb the flavors from the broth. Unfortunately, the vermicelli (or bun) noodles we had that day was very undercooked that I could taste the rice flour. And to your "empty bowls" comment, can we just be honest here and tell the truth? I ordered a large #8 pho, after a few bites I just couldn't eat the hard rice stick any more. I threw my napkins in the soup out of disappointment. I had to go to another restaurant to get food afterwards. To comment on your waiters service. it is for sure the worst service I have had in a restaurant. He was rude and impatient when taking our order and ignored us the whole meal. I even had to yell to get his attention to get our check. He spilled water on me and my friends and we were stunned that he just walked away like nothing happened. There was not a single polite word out of his mouth that day. that's why we only tipped him 5% that day (purely out of courtesy). But you are the owner of the business, who am I to tell you how your service is supposed to be, right? read more

My favorite local spot when I get a craving for Pho. I have only eaten here for take-out. The service is always quick and the servers are very friendly. Tasty Pho and large portions for the price. It is also a nice touch that one of the hosts / owners??, always says a friendly "see you tomorrow" as you leave. Makes me chuckle every time. The filet minion pho is awesome! Definitely worth trying this place. One of the best bowls of pho I've had. They have quite a few types of pho, noodle bowls and other Asian dishes. Atmosphere is pretty much what you would expect for a strip mall restaurant, but nicer than a lot of other cafeteria-like pho restaurants in town. I have been wanting to check this place out ever since reading the rave reviews of some of my favorite Yelpers. Finally after getting turned on to noodle bowls from a student of mine over at Pho Saigon I wanted to check out this tasty treat at some establishments closer to my abode.
