    Kapoon! So yummy !

I am a novice Pho dining person-this was recommended by the waiter. It did not disappoint -great spice and rich broth-the crispy pork made the dish -outstanding!

This is a hidden gem in a small, non-descript (to run-down) strip mall on the east side of College Ave. From the outside, it looks like it would be a take-out joint. But once you step inside, the dining room is actually large and airy. And the Vietnamese food is very good. Classic pho and banh mi sandwiches.

The boba inside the milk tea is not good. The tea itself is okay. I still like my noodle even though the sauce could have more sweet in it. I probably won't order wings next time. Will come back to try Laos menu.

Everything was great. I had jasmine tea & Pho 1. There was so much food, I took some home, and added some bone broth for dinner. I will definitely be back. I left full, happy & hydrated. The service was fast and it's nice to find a more low key place to eat in Carmel.

I've been looking for a pho place close to the Carmel area and let me tell you this is the place to go if you good pho. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and the service was impeccable, they were quick and very attentive. I'm not sure if we were being served by the owner but it seemed like it and she went through the menu and explained everything to us. We broth for the pho was extremely flavorful and each table has a variety of hot sauces, chili oils and spicy seasonings which were all delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. There if currently construction going on near the restaurant but definitely worth navigating through it. I will be returning and telling everyone I know!

We've been in person but I am SO thrilled Pho Real is finally available on DoorDash! Zionsville has had no Vietnamese delivery options for years so of course we ordered right away! Everything was packed securely and delicious as ever. Pho, tofu banh mi, and pad kee mao are all delicious. My only feedback is that it would be nice to be able to choose spice level, and though ordering extra sauces is available, there are no options to choose from and no comment field to note which sauce you'd like.

I was driving to an event, and wanted a quick light dinner. Pho Real popped up, and I was able to call in a to-go order. They said it would be done in 10-15 min so that was perfect. The restaurant, is in a little strip mall. The food was hot and ready when I got there, which I appreciated. From the pun: Pho Real, I would have thought it was a Vietnamese Restaurant. They also have Thai and Laotian dishes. I thought the Vermicelli was a Vietnamese Bun Thit Noung dish. It is not what I was expecting. Instead of a fish sauce, there was a sweet and sour sauce. The protein was a bit salty for my taste. I could have used some additional veggies, the Vietnamese dish normally has pickled carrots and daikon. This dish did not. The mint was a little wilted, I could not tell if it was like that before or because it came in contact with the hot meat. The egg rolls were good, and I liked that it had fair amount of nuts. If I was in a pinch near by, I would stop by. But not something to go out of my way to try.

Every time I come here, it's always amazing. The food, the service, the atmosphere. Nothing pictured, but the Khao Piek is one of the best foods I've ever tried. 10/10 will always be coming back :)

The food was amazing! a great local pho spot. Plenty of authentic south asian dishes on the menu. Our waiter was timely and accommodated us well. Its definitely a hole in the wall, but the food is absolutely excellent and authentic.

Good flavors and fast service. The spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce was on point! I ordered the Phò Special.... the broth was flavorful and the meats were flavorful and tender. The only reason for 4 starts was that the broth wasn't hot enough. It needs to be steaming and it was a little warmer than lukewarm. Easy fix though! I will return!

Pho Real is very close to are home and on our families daily commute but we strangely have only tried their food twice: once with a friend for a dine in experience and the second was this week for a carry out option. Perhaps it's the dark grey strip mall location? I'm unsure but I thought swinging by on our way home would be convenient. The restaurant itself is very clean, tables are set up with yummy sauces and arranged in many different configurations for multiple guests needs. I asked for a menu to order food to go, but I can't say the waitress was all that helpful or friendly. After reviewing our options, we settled on chicken fried rice, steamed dumplings, and an order of crab rangoons. I asked the waitress if I could make a substitution for one of their house specialties (omit red onion) and she stated "No, all of them are premade". That's an odd response considering she didn't even ask which one I was interested in or try to help me find something else to enjoy. Either way, what we did order did not disappoint. The fried rice was well seasoned and a large portion while the dumplings were wonderful & came with a delicious sauce. Maybe I will try this place again next time and hope for a bit better service. Update then!

I've come here several times now over the past 3 months, and baybee.... they have always been a hit in my house. I've gotten the pork egg rolls many times, the Banh Mi Lemongrass Chicken which is soooo delicious, and the Kapoon. I'd have to say the Banh Mi Lemongrass Chicken is by far my favorite .

I have just left this restaurant is shock. - the waiter was friendly and had a great attitude. Never got a name but he was a taller fellow 6ft, short hair, and glasses. Had a good attitude but we noticed something he was doing after we received our food. He was cleaning up a table from across the store and we noticed he stood there for a minute before cleaning up the plates. This is when we realized that he was EATING THE LEFTOVERS from the customers that were just THERE. We were left in horror watching this gentleman eat leftover food. We felt instantly nauseated watching him chew food that other customers left behind. - the Pho my partner had was great according to her, but unfortunately there was a hair that was stuck on the inside of the bowl. My fried dish that had chicken and shrimp and vermicelli was alright. The noodles weren't cooked all the way and were chewy. The fried rolls had pork in it that tasted gamy, I cook a lot of fresh meats and the pork tasted very close to being expired. The boba that we received at the END of the meal was hot. So at the bottom of the boba the cup was hot and the top was cold with ice, so when you would drink from it you would get warm mango juice. Also, the boba and mango drink had separated liquids 5 minutes after we left the restaurant (I will include a picture). - we wanted to leave and get a refund but we gave the restaurant a chance and ultimately it failed us. I hope others see this post as a warning that if you come here you may have your leftover food eaten and hair in your plate of food. I hope the manager of the restaurant reaches out to me after this experience.

It's a beautiful place that feels…read morelike a modernized version of all the vietnamese restaurants I grew up going to with lanterns from the Hoi An area hung up throughout. There's plenty of seating and service was great. As I looked through the menu the dish that stood out to me was the thịt kho trứng (caramelized pork and egg rice dish). This isn't a dish that is usually in menus. It's a special dish made at home usually reserved for the lunar new year. After living away from family for a year now, this dish felt like a piece of home and comfort. The flavor of the pork egg dish is absolutely delicious. While this dish is typically supposed to be made with pork belly, chef Ricky substitutes it with pork shoulder for a more familiar taste/texture to our Midwestern community. I'm not mad honestly. The meat was so tender and pulls apart easily to eat with the rice which means it was braised long enough. I only ate half of the serving as it feels like a generous serving. I enjoyed that it was paired with slides tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and pickles veggies. The only thing missing was the nước chấm dipping sauce. The chè ba màu three color dessert is also another home away from home dish that instantly brings me back to my mom's house. The pandan jelly, red beans, coconut sauce and mung bean combine together so well and it was definitely a splurge to enjoy something so delicious. Thanks for a cozy, comforting meal. I'll definitely be back again when I'm feeling home sick.

Unfortunately almost everything was disgusting. The shrimp on the stick was enjoyed by her, the egg rolls were gross. She liked the cooked octopus but I really didn't even enjoy the pho , everything was like warm or not cooked all the way, for the rice paper rolls came out and served with UNDERCOOKED PORK!! Who is eating cold pork that is pink in the middle? like the entire middle was pink! Not a small part of the pork. We noticed mold on the desert and immediately asked for the check. The best thing out of the tasting experience was the pork bon and even that was lukewarm. All in all I would say this place could be good for people who havnt tried Vietnamese food, but for someone to go as far as having egotistical writings on the wall with his name after them....like some kind of phenomenal chef....you at least have to know how to cook pork. Every meat dish was either over seasoned, or undercooked. Our server Ursula was actually the best thing and even made our day. She will make you smile super funny and loved her company. Lastly, one thing I would mention....my gf has serious pet dander allergies....and there was not a single animal in that restaurant, once she tried the pork on the stick...immediately started sneezing, coughing, and had trouble breathing....take with that what you will....(could be using certain meats) long story short we wouldn't come here if you paid us.

The portion arrived looking like something the Jedi Council would have sent as a diplomatic gift. The rib meat was falling off the bone in the way that only happens when someone in that kitchen actually paid attention, tender, rich, and worth every credit of the $30 price tag. They bring the usual sides: bean sprouts, sliced jalapenos, lime wedges, and fresh basil. They also brought out a small plate and a knife to handle the rib, which was a thoughtful touch that saved me from an otherwise undignified situation. Once the meat was cut and ready I did what any serious pho person does and built my dipping sauce on the small plate: chili oil, a small amount of sriracha, and hoisin. I am told that this is the traditional way to approach pho. You preserve the integrity of the broth and dip your noodles, meat, and vegetables as you go. Dumping everything into the bowl is a valid personal choice, but it is not the way of the Jedi. My son stuck with the reliable Pho Special plus extra noodles at $16 plus $2 for the extra noodles, which remains the best value play on the menu for a bowl that genuinely satisfies. Neither of us left disappointed, which at Pho Tasty is essentially a guarantee at this point. Five stars, no hesitation. The #29 is a special occasion bowl. The house special is an every visit bowl. Both are missions worth repeating. The Force is strong here.
