With this cold weather, my cravings for pho begin. As always , looking for good spots in the IE after two years of living here . I've passed this place a million times going to chick fil a, aldis and just up and down mountain. I ordered the number 6 and number 2 with some shrimp and pork spring rolls to go since my husband is under the weather. He wasn't not optimistic about the place but loved it ! Everything was tasty . The good: food and service was mediocre, so we'll start that of as a 3. We got dau chien, pho dac biet, pho Tai Gai, pho Tai gan, and a com suong nuong. The dau chien was way too over breaded and fried from frozen. It was like eating a old bread with the center being an under cooked egg. That took off a little but not a whole star The broth was ok. Pretty standard with some flavor. Once the broth was cold and we got to the bottom of some bowls we saw that there was a lot of msg. I am a fan of msg so no harm there, but indicative of what the broth is relying on to be flavorful. It would have ended there but what ended up taking off 1 star was them forgetting my food and lying about it. I had to remind them and they told me it was because they were understaffed, despite the rest of the table being served and other tables that sat after us as well. Just bad service and when I asked again after reminding them they said they thought I had cancelled it. Not even a "sorry" or "our mistake", I never ended up getting my food. 1 more star removed. Craving bahn mi sandwiches with the sister! Bread was soft and so fresh! So delicious!! The grilled pork spring rolls were so so good--the grilled pork had a nice smokey taste. These are better than Brodards--no lie. My sister vegan and she LOVED the tofu spring rolls and the veggie bahn mi...we both agree this may be a new spot when she visits. This place has it all, delicious pho, lots of different food and great service. Went with my mother and brother and I tried the chicken Wonton soup with BBQ pork and it was delicious. I ordered ala side of fatty brisket to go along with it and was just perfect. Tried moms phone and it was so good too, my brother got some other dish that came in a bowl, didn't try it but looked good. Will definitely come back! I frequently ordered here the spring rolls and pho. They make very good vegetarian spring rolls too.

Well, first time and last time. I ordered chicken pho. The soup had a 'funk' to it and I basically just ate the order of steamed veggies that I added to it. Other people rated the egg rolls high so we ordered them. They were terrible. The vegetable egg roll was basically a very fried skin with some sort of vegetable paste inside. The oil must have been dirty because even the egg roll skin tasted bad. I complained and got an apology but they didnt do anything about it. Left it on my bill so I didn't leave a tip-I had a few bits of the pho and one bite of the egg roll. Left a full bowl of soup and the plate with egg rolls hardly touched. A good waiter would have wanted to make it right to save a customer. Overall an unfortunate visit and we won't be back read more

Tried this place with our friends last week and so glad we did! The food was so delicious. I really enjoyed the grilled pork rolls. Brodards is pretty far, so this is a great substitute. They serve the rolls with a peanut sauce that compliments the rolls well. I didn't get to try the pho, but the spicy noodle soup and chicken wonton/bbq pork soup were flavorful. Food portions are large. The servers were very attentive and friendly. Interior is clean, and AC is on full blast in the hot summer months. Parking is plentiful. I've never left a bad review. Takes a lot for me to get to that point. So here is my first bad review. I've also worked in the higher end restaurant industry for 12+ years. I came with 7 coworkers during lunch. 6 ordered pho and 1 ordered fried rice. Simple order. It was lunch, when workers need to be in and out without an hour. Standard stuff, ya? The food took an insanely long time to come out. 30 minutes past we finally got five of our orders, but two of our orders were still not complete. The manager then came and had the audacity to tell us one of the meals was the servers fault because our server did not order it, even though the server ordered correctly when we looked at the receipt We waited an additional 10 minutes, and at least we got one order. My order was still not out and I simply told her we had to go back to work and get we would have to cancel the order. So without an apology, no discount, no attempt to make it better, the manager, simply said "okay we will cancel it" and walked off to help the next table. Terrible service. Then we asked multiple people for to go boxes and it took my coworkers an additional 10 minutes to finally get one. I also tried the spring rolls which were bland as was the peanut sauce it came with. Didn't get to try the pho, but won't be coming back. read more

Update: so I did a review a couple years back and it took me quite some time to get back this location. Wowwwwww, what a difference!!! Food was amazing and updated on the menu. We avoided one of the menu items and we went with the half hen which also had issue the first time, this time though ohhhh man. It was amazing. Wasn't dry, well seasoned and juicy. No red friend rice just regular fried rice but it was even better than the last time. It was peppery and steaming hot and very very delicious!!! All in all it was very reminiscent of pho mai, and the staff was awesome. It was energetic and they were very polite. I would definitely give this place a try. We've even return again, getting the pho which was perfect. This place should be on your radar for must have if you want to try something new or are just a fan of Vietnamese food. read more
