The sandwich is stuffed with tuna and I could have ordered a half sandwich and it would have been enough to stuff my belly. My Hubs ordered the vegetarian sandwich with potato salad on the side. He finished his sandwich, which was stuffed with lots of fresh veggies and sliced provolone cheese. He enjoyed it to the last bite! We were split on the potato salad. My Hubs liked the sweet pickles and the freshness of the chopped celery added to the recipe. I prefer zero pickles in my potato salad, but still enjoyed a few bites. The texture of the salad was pleasing and the amount of mayonnaise was very balanced. The soup of the day was, chicken and dumplings. I was disappointed that I wasn't in a place to order a bowl to take away. Next time for sure. The service was friendly and efficient and everyone appeared to be enjoying their food choices. It is family owned which is something I always try and support when traveling. You order at the counter before sitting down. You could always just order to go. We stayed and ate at the restaurant at a table with a view of Main Street. We ordered the Motherlode breakfast dish and the French toast. The Motherlode is a Homemade Biscuit, Country Potatoes, Gravy, Sunnyside Egg & Bacon Bits. It had a great smoky flavor and I always enjoy a homemade style biscuit. The French toast was served with a side of potatoes. It was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. My only regret is that we didn't grab a few cookies for the road home that looked so good. We will definitely be back when we visit again.
