I can't believe I have lived in Austin this long and just now made it here. My friend and I got the Vietnamese Fried Egg rolls (pork and veggies with fish sauce) and Fresh Spring rolls (shrimp, pork, veggies, vermicelli, veggies and peanut sauce) to start and we both devoured the fried egg rolls in no time. The spring rolls were good too and went well with the sauce. For dinner, I had Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup with mixed dark and white meat). It was absolutely delicious! The broth, the chicken, noodles, basil, everything and the quantity was so much that I had dinner and shared my left overs into 2 bowls that I had for 2 different meals. My friend had the Pho Dac Biet (steak, flank, brisket, tendon and stripe) and he finished it all well before I said I couldn't finish mine. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will be back. I was seated and my order was taken quickly. My order came out fast and piping hot. I had the Filet Mignon Pho. Broth was flavorful, plenty of sprouts, jalapeños and basil. Plenty of yummy beef. Quantity of pho is massive. The veggie egg rolls were so crispy and good, some of the best. I ordered a side of steamed veggies to add to my leftover pho tomorrow. I asked for extra sprouts and basil for take home and they were very generous with the portion, which I appreciate as it is one of my favorite parts. Overall, an enjoyable meal experience. Pho Saigon is my friends' and my go-to hangover spot because Tan My only offers take out. However, Pho Saigon is a really good backup option. I really like their pho. It has an evident beefy flavor, and the noodles are always cooked well. Food comes out very quickly. I also love their egg rolls and Thai iced tea. It's a great place to grab a bite and leave quickly as well. Waiters rarely come around to help, but when they do, they are fast and nice. I am pretty picky about pho, but Pho Saigon definitely checks all my boxes. It's also brightly lit, so you feel awake when you're eating your hangover food. read more

If you're eating in, it's huge portions for a great price and of course it's delicious and packed with flavor I always get different combinations of meat when I eat here, but I still typically stick to the beef section. Came here for dinner on a Friday night with my wife. Did not have to wait long to be seated. Service was good and food came out nice and hot. I was a little disappointed with the flavor of the Pho I ordered (see photos), but my wife's Bun was quite good. I was recommended this place by my friend. We came here to celebrate my husband leaving his last job and starting a new one. The waiter walked up immediately before we barely had a chance to look at the menu. We asked for more time and he just walked away without saying anything. He came back a few minutes later and stared at us without saying anything again. Unsure if he knows English well enough to carry a convo? But it was just slightly unsettling. Eventually, my Husband and I ended up getting a large bowl of tofu pho with a side of veg spring rolls. The food came out VERY fast. We barely had eno if g time to talk amongst ourselves before everything came out. Maybe like 5-7 min tops? The large pho bowl was like the equivalent of 3-4 regular bowls. This place is located on North Lamar in the China Town shopping center. It's been my go to pho place for at least 10 years now. My favorite go to chicken Pho soup location. They do have many more food options. You can definitely tell that each dish is authentically made from all the toppings that make you pho soup tasteful to your liking and well portioned. I like that they have different soup bowl options bc most places just give you a great big bowl of pho and I hate to waste food so I go with the smaller size. Perfect winter spot for some pho soup. In the winter you may have to wait to be seated since it's a popular place but it's well worth it. read more

Also whenever I order a Pho Dac Biet I expect a decent portion of tendon, tripe, and meats. While the sliced beef cuts were present and noticeable, the tendon & tripe were minuscule. Waiting for my food to arrive but it's mayhem here on a rainy Wednesday night. Don't follow the sign that says "Please wait to be seated". Go sit down at an empty table and flag the waitress to order. I waited in line for 10+ mins when I realized others were walking straight in and seating themselves. There is 20+ ppl at the front waiting for the one cashier who is obviously overwhelmed with taking to go orders in person and on the phone while trying to get patrons checked out. Def needs more workers doing front of house. If you're craving some yummy authentic Vietnamese dishes, this is the place to go! I haven't had the pho here, although I've heard it's the bomb! I have gotten some vermicelli dishes that are excellent. Tonight I got the Bun Ga Nuong is vermicelli with chicken and it was delicious. I wish I had gotten what my boyfriend got...the Bun Tom Nuong Cha Go which is vermicelli with shrimp and sliced pork. The shrimp was a little overcooked but the pork had an amazing taste. We also shared Vietnamese Fried Eggrolls, Pork Springrolls, and Shrimp and Pork Springrolls. All were very fresh tasting and yummy. The peanut sauce is addictive. The only drawback with this restaurant is the service! I've been a few times and the waitress disappears after taking our order. My tea is never refilled nor am I asked if I want dessert or take out boxes. So be prepared for that kind of service. Other than that, the food won't disappoint!! I've gone to Pho Saigon a number of times before COVID-19 but this was my first time getting takeout from them. Heads up if you're dining in, it seems like the restaurant is filled to capacity/no social distancing. Most people aren't wearing masks because they're eating. I wouldn't feel safe dining in. I picked up my order 10 minutes after calling. I like the packaging/how they include everything but the amount was definitely less than normal dining in. Very interesting how they packaged the raw meat but I really like that when you get takeout everything that you would get at the restaurant (sauces, bean sprouts, lime etc) is all included. Overall still very good, quantity is a bit less but good. Would recommend getting takeout. read more

I like the clear pho bowls that come with lids! They did not give us enough hoisin sauce or siracha sauce in the sauce containers. Lots of fresh basil, bean sprouts, limes, sliced jalapenos and red onion. We got a decent amount of sliced eye round steak and pho noodles. By the time I drove 20 minutes home, we had to reheat the pho broth before eating. They gave us takeout chopsticks but forgot to include napkins. One of my all time favorite Pho places in Austin. I have been going here since I was like 7 years old and I keep going here and bringing other people here. Everything is good. Whether that is the flavor, portion, or price. It's a full package. I normally get either the Seafood Pho or the Beef Pho with everything. If I want to splurge, I would also get their egg rolls as an appetizer. It's just delicious. The broth is super flavorful, they give you a lot of the noodles, but also a lot of all the proteins that you pay for. It's just freaking good. The rice bowls according to others are also really delicious so you really cannot go wrong with the menu. Service fluctuates. You'll always get your food in a timely manner and if you were to request for anything, you'll definitely get it. But when it gets busy, it can be hard to grab the wait staff's attention.
