The restaurant was cleaned and nicely decorated. Menue had the usual staples of a Vietnamese Pho kitchen. I ordered the Pho #26 and Fresh Spring Rolls with Chicken and Shrimps. The order was served very quickly, and the Pho was nicely presented with fresh Thai Basil, piece of lime, slices of the green pepper, and fresh bean sprouts. I would say the broth was not the most flavourful but it was good. I was missing some herbs, like mint and cilantro for my Pho. It was plenty of noodles but not much of meat in my soup. Overall I enjoyed my Pho. The fresh rolls were good with a lot of chicken and shrimps inside, but the sauce would benefit from more flavors and spices. The price was right for the offerings. I would come back again.

I would NOT recommend the bun bo hue as it tasted like soap, but the pho and banh mi here is so GOOD. Their $10 deal if you pay in cash makes me come here all the time. Come with cash to avoid paying extra fees. This is of my fav spots!!

Hole in the wall Vietnamese in predominantly Chinese part of northeast Philly. Pretty famous for their pho, I'm partial to the vermicelli. Very relaxed atmosphere with metal chairs and tables. Typical Philly shop house take away restaurant. Usually not crowded. $15 per dish with tax and tip. We will return. The shrimp with perfectly grilled and the fish sauce was excellent.

Where do I start. As my family and I walk in the door. We were greeted by Charlie. Super friendly and polite guy. He immediately got a booster seat for my 2 year old daughter. Than got us water and our appetizers. My wife and I share a Banh Mi Oppla Cha Lua. My auntie got some egg rolls. These were delicious. We the Pho Dac Biet and Bun Thit Nuong Dac Biet for the entrees. I share my pho with my daughter. They were super accommodating, got me some scissor so I can cut up the meats and noddles for my daughter. Finish off with some Viet Iced Coffee. The best spot to get your Vietnamese grub.

This restaurant by far serves the best Vietnamese food I've ever tasted from Philadelphia to California... The PHO broth is out of this world and they use black Angus steak. I've never seen another PHO shop use high-grade steak. the service is quick and the prices are on point! I love this place!

The broth is good, not the most flavorful I've ever had but it really hits the spot on a cold rainy day or when soothing a hangover. I'm sure it's delicious other times too but that's when I tend to want it most. The takeout is well packed although they don't fill up the broth container fully kind of skimp sometimes. But the ingredients are always fresh and delicious and the crispy spring rolls are a nice addition. I've only ever gotten pho tai and pho tai chin, both were delicious.

My mom found a new pho in the Northeast section, so she wants me to try it. It is on the same block where Jade Harbor and Mr. Wish is located. I believe it used to be another viet place but it is now Pho Saigon. My mom order Pho Deluxe. Hubby got the Grilled Shrimp with broken rice. I got a pho with tendon and tripe. Hubby like the Grilled Shrimp but he would like more shrimps lol. Unlike many other pho restaurant, Pho Saigon gives you quite a bit of noodles, which I love. P.S. Don't let the emptiness of the restaurant fool you, the food is very fulfilling and delicious.

Okay so first off this was our first time getting takeout from this place. So we ordered beef ball pho, bun bo hue, summer rolls and some ice coffee. I don't understand why every time I order takeout they like to give you a half container of soup? Like why not just fill it up like your supposed too? I mean if we were to sit and eat they always fill the bowl up right? I'm not sure what the difference is for them to do that. Anyways, the flavor of the soup was not bad but lacked in portions they give you. The summer rolls were good and most of all I liked the ice coffee. I think that was the best part. I'm not sure if I'll come back here for pho though. Need give us a full container of soup please!!

I spent a hot 95 degree day watching my niece & nephew at a track meet and realized that I would never, EVER come back to a track meet UNTIL I found this gem nearby! As we waited my car to cool off from the cruel beaming sun, Yelp came to the rescue and we saw we were a mere 1 mile from scrumptious Vietnamese. Parking in the area, like in most areas in Philly, sucks but is not impossible. The hubby and I walked in to a surprisingly mellow restaurant (the one next door seemed over crowded). I thought this might possibly be a bad sign, but it was too late to turn back now. So we grabbed our menus and decided to order our regulars favorites. I HIGHLY recommend getting started with the BBQ pork spring rolls - OMG SOOO GOOD! I would seriously order just 6 of them and make them my meal if I would've known earlier. They were fresh and bursting with flavor. As for entrees, my hubby ordered grilled porkchops with white rice, which came out amazing. I was the clear winner getting the vermicelli pasta with grilled pork, shrimp and egg roll. The whole thing just makes my mouth watery right now just thinking about it. Then the bill came and we could NOT beleive how cheap everything came out to be! We paid about $25 for everything including tip! All I can say is that I"m glad this place is a few miles from my apt, because I would seriously live here otherwise. I will definitely be returning!

The biggest surprise was the tái (eye-round steak), yet still retaining that pleasantly chewy texture of undercooked beef; the gầu (fat brisket) was thick and crisp, fragrant but not greasy--who would have thought I'd find brisket fat here? This showed the restaurant's precise control over the broth temperature and the thickness of the beef. Almost all phở restaurants claim to offer authentic raw beef or various cuts of beef, but very few can truly make customers feel the difference. The restaurant's decor is simple but spacious and clean; the service is average, but very efficient. Efficiency is essential for phở, otherwise the beef would be overcooked in the hot broth. After all, the essence of a restaurant is food, and for such affordable ones, it's gratifying to see them spend most of their costs on the food itself.
