04/10/19: 4.0 out 5 - Decided to try this place out after running the 10 mile portion of The Couve Clover Run 2019. Which may have been a factor playing on my tastebuds. Regardless, on my way home to Milwaukie, it was decided to check this place out. After all, I was famish, and who wouldn't be after a 10-mile run, right? Well, this place is actually the second location before its expansion from Vancouver, WA. I can't speak for the other location, but this place has good food and good table service. However, you can order "to go" if you like. The place isn't too big of a space but has plenty of tables and chairs without feeling confined. It's also clean and simple decoratively. I would definitely recommend trying it once and decide for yourself. I'll definitely go back and try Pho Sen when in the area. Enjoy! read more

Very convenient Vietnamese restaurant in happy valley. Generous portions and quick turn around time. The curry is massive and they load it with lots of chicken! This place is way by far the worst pho places I have ever been too. I go to pho Hong, pho Van, pho corner...etc I waited for 15mn to be taken orders and also water didn't come when we were waiting. Waited for food over 25mn and still not come out. There weren't lots of customers at all. This place can't handle volume of customers. So service is bad. Environment is ok. Didn't get to eat food yet. Wanted to walk out, but wife said just wait. We just walked out at the end. I truly not recommend this place for people wanted to have a good experiences at the pho place. Try Pho Van, Pho Hong and Pho Corner. We will never come back. read more

This place is a pretty standard Vietnamese pho place, not the greatest pho but acceptable if you need a quick fix. I got the pho ga and the ga was super dry and hard to chew. My boyfriend got pho tai and said it was okay. I recommend pho Kim or pho Oregon if you need a good place. read more

Came here with a friend who said this place was on his top 5 for pho. We were greeting pretty quickly upon arriving but after that the service was pretty slow. I feel like the wait after we put our orders in was pretty long. The prices were about average. I got the seafood pho and the flavor of the broth was really good, the noodles were also a good consistency. I did feel the actual meat was a little slim but overall i was pretty satisfied. I grew up on homemade Vietnamese food and going to all the joints in LA my family would take us when on vacation there -- this place is very comparable! This is my go-to Vietnamese restaurant when I have a craving -- great prices and generous portions. The flavor tastes authentic and just like home. My favorites are the Banh Mi Special Sandwich and vermicelli bowl with pork. The staff is great and service is quick. Highly recommend for those looking for authentic Vietnamese. read more

I tried pho sen for the first time today and ordered the chicken pho, wonton noodle, and beef stew. The pho broth was not edible and had a strange instant mix taste to it. The beef stew had very little veggies and meat and the broth tasted like a super oily beef pho soup. The wonton noodle soup was ok, but the wontons had a very sweet, peppery taste that I did not enjoy. Overall not impressed and wont be eating here agin. read more

Tasty pho spot! We stopped by this gem and ordered salad rolls with spam and omg.. game changer. It was deliciously fried and paired well with the fresh greens, vermicelli and soft rice paper. Dipping this with the peanut sauce was magic. We also ordered 2 orders of large pho (of course!!) and it was delicious, too. The amount of tripe and tendon to meat and noodles was very great, too!! I really wish we lived close by so we can come back, but I'm very sure the next time we are in Clackamas, this will be our go-to! Aside from the delicious food, the service was very welcoming and friendly. The lovely woman working brought us water and took down our order. Throughout our dining experience, she checked on us and asked us how the food was. Even when service was starting to pick up and get busy, she found gaps to come by our table and check on us. I had a vermicelli noodle dish that was so goddamn good. The meat is perfectly seared and there is plenty of it, the rice noodles are not over or under cooked, and the veggies tasted really fresh and good. Also tried the crab puffs which were much smoother in their filling than some lesser places. read more

The salad rolls are massive. We got two orders because we had no idea... We haven't touched the second order but I'm not upset we have them, they'll be great tomorrow! We also ordered the Banh Mi- it was really tasty and fresh, the bread was perfect. We also ordered salt and pepper squid and added onions, SO tasty with quite large pieces of squid. They truly don't skimp. My only issue was that they forgot to put one of the sauces in the bag but life happens! They were very prompt in fixing this and I have zero complaints. read more

I really like this place. The people are so nice and attentive. I've eaten here a couple of times thus far, and both time had the vegetarian pho which is lovely. Full of fresh veggies, and perfectly cooked tofu. The cream puffs were really good, and the sauce was ready--a bit different than I expected, but in a good way. Tangy/vinegary yumminess. This is a cute little place in a strip mall. My daughter and I visited one Thursday afternoon when the craving for Pho just got to be too much and we were pleasantly surprised. We got to go from this place. 2 out of 2 times the pho tasted like hot water. Pretty much noodles, beef, and boiled hot water was the pho. I mean the good part was all the food was packaged nicely. I didn't try the rice plate myself but I heard it was good (hence the 2 stars since I didn't try it). Absolutely disgusting!!!!!!! Ordered the spicy beef soup and it came with five pieces of gristle/fat that I threw away. The meatballs of some sort were dense and dry and any meat that was in the soup was mostly fatty with only pieces of actual beef.... Everything about my first time experience here is a disaster. Pho tasted like garbage so don't come here. It took about 15-20 mins to even get food on our table. We even got our appetizer first. This place was okay. Since covid the capacity was limited. We got sat pretty quickly but the group behind us got their water and food before us. My party of 2 waited for almost an hour and half for just 2 bowls of soup (same order) & 1 appetizer. They didn't give us utensils or napkins until our food was pretty cold. Went there for dinner with my wife since she was willing to accommodate anywhere I wanted to go. It had been over 1 week since I had phò. She doesn't eat Vietnamese or Thai food too often and is slightly allergic to fish. She ordered pad Thai without fish sauce. The server returned stating it was typically made with Oyster sauce, we asked if they could just not add it and the cook refused. We asked for just stir fried noodles with chicken and vegetables. My son and I love pho and decided to try this spot. We had the pho with beef flank and steak, egg rolls and it was all very good. The food was ready to go when I arrived and they were very nice when I asked them for a few additional items. The broth for the pho was spot on! A nice treat! The only thing I would have liked was a bigger bowl to mix in all of my extras(sprouts, basil, and more yummy soup). Came to Pho Sen 2 because it was close to home but wasn't expecting much because of the mixed reviews. We had great service and the food was really good. We had the A1 sampler appetizer and all got the round steak pho. The place and food was very clean and we all thought the food was delicious and flavorful. We'll definetely start coming here and I'm happy we have a good place for pho close by and not have to go all the way to Portland for good pho. read more
