I ordered take out, first time ever here. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. He was very nice and welcoming. I let him know it was my first time and he said you'll like it and he was right the food was so good! I wish I would have taken pictures but my boyfriend and I ate it so quick because we were enjoying it . We got chicken pho and beef pho. Regular size was enough for each of us. The pho is good considering there aren't any places around the AV.. They are quite stingy here with toppings and basil was missing from the plate today. Maybe they were out? I didn't get a chance to ask. I went today, a rainy day so it was busier than normal. There was 1 other table when I got there, but 3 more came in shortly after we sat. Service was extremely slow. It took over 20 minutes for the server to come around to my table to take my group's order. The server didn't greet us upon taking our order or check on us even once. My water never got refilled so I had to start drinking from my friend's cups. I was disappointed with how long everything took and the lack of hospitality. Pro tip : eat at the burrito place across the street. You'll have more authentic Vietnamese food. They ran out of grilled pork (Monday at 2pm) and we had to substitute all our dishes to a gristle ridden beef. Half of it was raw and looked like it was microwaved. Traditional Vietnamese Pho takes hours since the main ingredient, broth, takes a while to make. Marrow-rich beef bones and meat are boiled with onions, ginger, star anise, and other ingredients depending on who's cooking. Most non-Vietnamese people have learned the wrong way of eating pho, quickly adding sriracha and hoisin sauce to the bowl without even tasting the broth first. Please do yourself a favor and taste the richness of the broth first before introducing anything else to your bowl. A good bowl of pho is honestly good enough on its own. Try it! I have been spoiled in a way that I grew up with Vietnamese friends whose parents have made us home-made pho and have lived in areas where pho is easy to find. Unfortunately we only have a few places in the Antelope Valley who serve pho. Out of the three restaurants that serve pho in this area, I prefer to go to this restaurant. Sure the establishment looks odd with its ice cream counters but I really do like their broth better than the rest up here. My 4 Stars is based on this area. The service is good, the hosts and servers are pleasant, they try their best to give you attention even on a busy day. Rainy and chilly days are busiest of course, but the service and flavor of their broth doesn't suffer because of the rushed crowd. This is not fast food Mellisa took my order, it was a to go order. I ordered the rare beef n tendon (pst..it's collagen), it's so good for us women and aging. I love this place. Here is why. 1. Love the broth very tasty. I've tried other places but you just can't compare them to other Pho places. Yes, it's that good. 2. I got a large. Extra Jalapeño's, Basil n Lime. No bean spouts. It's a personal thing, no biggy. 3. Their fresh shrimp roll is so good as well. One order is 4 full rolls, not 2 rolls cut in half to make 4. 4. Every one had smiles and it was crowded. I counted n it was more more than 10 but less then 15 people. Eating in. The perfect food anytime, it was pouring when I was there. Okay for a quick stop. I probably won't be back. The spring rolls are so loose to look big but they aren't solid. The vermicelli is lacking flavor and ingredients. It's not like the original Vietnamese places that I've been to. The pho broth is just ok. If I was in the area, maybe but I'd rather drive further for better quality and experience. It's 43° and perfect time for a bowl of hot pho. We walked into the door and had to search for an employee to ask where we could sit. We waited over 15 minutes to be asked what we'd like to drink. We ordered two hot teas (because we were told no other drinks were available), spring rolls (that came out burnt and without vegetables). In the span of an hour, we were told three times our two bowls of pho "would be right out," and waited over an HOUR before we told the ONLY two employees in the back of the restaurant chit-chatting that we'd like to cancel our order. They insisted the pho was "almost ready." We insisted we'd only pay for what already came out. As potential patrons entered the establishment, they were advised after 10-15 minutes of standing by the door that the store had run out of soup! Imagine that, a pho restaurant running out of their staple item at 6:15pm on a Monday?! I hate to give small businesses bad reviews specially during this trying times, with staff shortage and Covid 19. But being our very first time to visit this place, they have very poor customer service. The restaurant has only one staff attending. We have to wait for a few minutes to be seated because there's no staff. Ordered 2 #1 soup and 1 hot pepper shrimp. Food took more than 30 minutes to be served. The utensils were just placed on top of the vegetables for the soup. Didn't even provide table napkins. Requested the only staff for a spoon and some napkins, she totally forgot! It a shame that Vietnamese cuisine and Pho are not popular in the AV. Cause sometime it annoying to drive to LA to eat some good Pho! This is decent spot for Pho. I was seriously craving vermicelli noodles, so I decided to give Pho Stop a try. I ordered Vietnamese vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls, for $9.75 plus tax. Sat outside and gotta say food came out quick in 15 mins. But upon opening the box, there was a highly visible strand of hair(( not mines since I'm a curly haired). But anyways the hair strand just made me question about the hygiene and sanitary protocols they taking. The presentation was awful, lettuce wasn't anything a rabbit would eat, it was past its fresh state, all chopped up and yellow. Quantity of food was very limited, food very much spread apart and tiny little pieces of the pork. I had heard that this place had really good iced cofee, which sounded strange for a Vietnamese place, but I figured why not. Man was I pleasantly surprised. This place is decent in every way I can think of and it's the best PHo place in the Antelope valley to dine in or take out. Their sauceless Orange Chicken is great too. That being said, I really wish they'd realize lemons, not limes, should be an option for waters and or any other beverage offered. No Military, No First Responders discounts either hence the 4- rating and not Five.
