White onions cut a little thick for my taste. * Spicy Beef Noodle Soup- huge portion, too spicy for me that I could not eat it after couple spoons. My mom who eat very spicy even thought it was too spicy. Flavor was good, the protein was good too! Veggie dish was good portion. * Bo Kho (Beef Stew)- also another large portion, heavy on the lemongrass flavor (not bad, just different than how I make it). Consistency on the soup side vs stew. Option of carb: bread, egg noodle or rice noodle. Ambiance: as class Vietnamese as you can get. Service: very nice, they'll give you extra bowl to help me split a large pho for my kids. Let me start by saying we had come here twice before and those visits would've earned four stars. From the (younger) woman who took our order to the (older) woman serving the food, the customer service was great. Hubby also loved the flavor of the short ribs. Life was good ... until today. On a Monday adventure, we decided to go eat somewhere familiar. Since Fall is officially here, it's rainy and cold ... pho sounded perfect. So we chose Pho T & L. Walked in and it wasn't full. Waiter (younger gentleman) handed us menu's and though I wouldn't call his demeanor rude, I would definitely say he was curt. Didn't think much of it cause we all have bad days. We also noticed that we had to ask him for cups of water. Again, strange but not the end of the world. I ordered a small pho and a pork Banh mi with egg. Hubby ordered a smorgasbord of different things: egg rolls, spring rolls, tempura shrimp, and short ribs. He also ordered a Thai tea smoothie. It took a long time for our food to come out - I'm guessing about 20 - 25 minutes. And it wasn't even all of our food, each piece came out separately. The waiter also brought my husband a Thai tea, and Hubby asked for a Thai tea smoothie. The waiter says, "We don't do that, we only have regular Thai tea." Strange, we could've sworn we saw that on the menu. We decided to just take the Thai tea and continue to wait on our food. My pho came and it was good - nothing special or unique, but I liked it the same as any other pho restaurant. My Banh mi came and I ate half, but it was not very good. The pork seemed to be too sweet (like sickeningly so) and I didn't seem to get a whole egg just egg pieces. Hubby's spring rolls, shrimp tempura, and short ribs were good. Unfortunately the egg rolls were repulsive. My husband took one bite, and pushed the plate away. I tried it and they were mushy and there was a taste like an old mildew sponge. I have no idea what that would've been, and I spat it out into a napkin. Hubby decided to try the other half of my Banh mi. He took a bite, didn't finish because it tasted bad, and was done at that point. So we go up to pay our $80 bill (which was expected so I'm not complaining about that) and I know Hubby is not pleased. He asked the waiter if it would be possible that we could take the egg rolls off our bill because they were inedible - we still had the plate on the table where you could clearly see we bit one egg roll. The waiter (looking and acting extremely annoyed) said, "No, we don't do that." Hubby at this point was livid, and decided to tell the waiter about his Thai tea now that we could look at a menu and confirm that his Thai tea was under smoothie. He pointed that out to the waiter, to which he responded, "No, we don't do." Now I'm the type who hates confrontation so much, I'll say thank you and take the order even if it's wrong, haha. But this waiter ended up being so rude and uncourteous. He only came to our table when he had to and didn't refill our waters. Another thing was while we were sitting there waiting for more water (which we never got) our waiter was eating out in the open while grabbing drinks for everyone else. What?! I get being hungry, but that seemed unprofessional. Upon walking out hubby said, "We'll never come to this place again." Sad. I thought we had found a new pho spot. read more

While I really wanted to leave them a 5 Star review, I had to stick to my core values as there were a few areas that could've been better. However, I did want to reiterate this is a really solid place to get your Viet fix on!! As others have mentioned their pho broth is excellent and full of flavor! The portions are reasonable for the price...although I was hoping for a little more noodles for an XL order. The pork chop broken rice combo was good, but there were a few issues with this dish in my opinion. First, the shredded pork skin had a sandy texture. I've had this at other Vietnamese restaurants and never had such a overwhelming sandy texture. The rice was also extremely al dente and undercooked. I was craving pho so came here after my friend recommended it. Reviews looked good so I decided to check it out. I called in for take out during lunch time and they said my pho would be ready in 10 minutes. I got there sooner since I was nearby and my order was already ready.. so fast! Portion size and food looked good. I liked how you can pick how many and which toppings you want.. so you're not stuck with one kind of meat you don't want and can just get more of what you like eating. Anyway, I was happily unpacking my pho until I saw a long black hair in my noodles! I'm sure it wasn't mine since it was in between the chunk of dry noodles in the takeout container. Service is good. Surprisingly, this place gets all their table seated especially for the location. It's immediately pass Great Wall Ranch 99, in a complex on the right if coming from north. There is usually just one waitress out on the floor to wait and take orders, but surprisingly she's efficient and attentive. When the place gets crowded, the kitchen staff would help with bringing the food out. It's just a casual/walk-in restaurant just like most Vietnamese pho restaurant. I like their Bun Dau Mam Tom (it's delicacy in Hanoi (north region) in VN). Not everyone can eat it even if you're Vietnamese unless you love stinky/fermented shrimp sauce/paste. First of all, I'm so excited to have a late night spot in the area! I couldn't wait to try & it was delicious. The pho broth was flavorful & light, not greasy at all. I really liked how they have two topping or three topping options. I got the two topping pho with meatballs & veggies as the toppings. They were generous portions and even the sides (lime, sprouts etc) were plentiful. The vibe of the restaurant was relaxed and family owned. The server was sweet & complimented my nails. The place was clean and organized. They had several sauce options at the table, chopsticks, soup spoons that hook on the bowl so they don't slip into the bowl (major plus!), & utensils. Great late night spot! Ended up here with two friends when we were looking for something open on a Friday night around 11. I think this place is open until 2. I got the bun bo hue and loved it. It had blood cake, which I rarely see in it, and I like that it came with shredded cabbage which I sometimes don't get at other places because they just bring you the bean sprouts that come with the pho anyway. Great flavor, good noodles, just very satisfying. Could use more lemongrass flavor, but I could always use more. My friends really liked their soup noodles and noodle bowl too. We also got the summer roll, which was fine, and a taro smoothie, which was the powdered kind so not as good, but okay. Based on the menu, it looked like the pho was build your own, which is fine but I prefer when pho duc viet is just one of the choices. Also, almost everything has shrimp in it. One of my friends has a shrimp allergy and couldn't get most of the things she tried to order. It got really busy as we stayed later so service was spotty, but it was understandable. So I'd like to start off by prefacing that I am from Southern California where we have some of the best/ largest selection of Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam, so I hope this review helps you understand the validity of my review. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue to-go, and I really have to give it a solid 10/10. Usually food doesn't taste as great when you take it to-go but this hit the spot even taking it home. The depth in flavor of the broth was great, and I love that the chili oil that is given on the side was actually spicy! My friends and I love this place and it's been our go to spot. Their food is always so good and service is excellent, but I would be cautious as my partner and I; as well as 5 other customers had our cars broken in to at the same time. I would be careful to not park where you cannot see your vehicle. The restaurant staff and owners were so helpful but it's unfortunate to come out from eating and your windows are broken. Kent PD was useless and did nothing. This is unfortunate and is happening often at this location and 2 males were in the restaurant that were apart of this. So be aware of your surroundings.
