Large pho with well-done brisket (P3)

This time, I decided to get something light and ordered the barbecue pork spring rolls (four pieces). Service was great as usual since the food arrived quickly. Also, the ambience was quiet with calm piano music playing in the background. Unfortunately, there was a mosquito that bit my hand before we got our food. The spring rolls were tasty with the peanut sauce, but the wrapping was very sticky. This made some of the spring rolls tear.

TL;DR Comforting, hearty Vietnamese food with generous portions. Sweet family-owned business. Food: I got the egg rolls and meatball pho. The egg rolls are crispy, have a simple filling, but delicious. The pho is aromatic and light, a flavor I keep coming back for. The meatballs taste homemade, with a slight sesame oil flavor. I always dip the meatballs in sriracha and hoisin sauce. The add on vegetables are super fresh, and the jalapeños are also spicy. Service and Ambiance: I go here often, and they are always so sweet. The ambiance is very quiet and relaxing.

Pretty good pho. Service was good. I was in a bit of a rush for a quick dinner but this place will not disappoint.

Came here with my daughter and we ordered the brisket pho. This is my second time coming to this restaurant and it didn't seem to miss the mark this time. It is a family owned restaurant, food came out pretty fast, and the service was great!

Came here with my partner around 12PM for lunch. Vibes It is a super humble and small shop that seems family owned. Where the bathroom is past the kitchen. Which for asian food, is totally my vibe. It wasn't filled to the brim but had a few large families eating here. Service Fantastic! It was one kind sweet lady taking everyone orders and take care of everyone. She was not overbearing but she had a very welcoming vibe to her that I really enjoyed. Food I ordered the shaken beef with yellow rice. The sauce was SUPER flavorful and the rice was fresh! The meat was a tiny bit tough but on par to most vietnamese restaurants I've been to. Overall, I would come back if I was in the area! I really liked the vibes of the shop and would go back for that alone.

Came in for a quick lunch and went with the BBQ pork sandwich while my friend ordered a bowl of pho. The sandwich was the highlight. The baguette had a nice crunch on the outside with a soft interior, and the pork was flavorful and slightly caramelized, paired with crisp pickled vegetables and a light spread that pulled it all together. It was filling without feeling too heavy. The pho my friend had leaned on the mild side. The broth was clean but lacked some of the deeper flavor you'd expect. Not bad by any means, just a little underwhelming without the addition of extra herbs, lime, and sauces. Service was polite and efficient. We were seated quickly and food came out in a timely manner. The staff checked in once without being intrusive, and everything was brought to the table hot and neatly presented. The space is casual and functional. It's clean, with simple decor and plenty of seating. Good for a relaxed meal with friends or a solo bite without much fuss. Overall, Pho Tay Bac is a solid spot. The BBQ pork sandwich is worth ordering again, and while the pho could use a bit more depth, it still makes for a comforting meal. Would return to try a few other items on the menu.

I always get the pho brisket. It's so good! Anytime I am craving pho this is my go to place.

If you like pho with a warming, hearty and fulfilling broth, this is the place. Their fresh and clean ingredients such as seafoods don't smell and mints, bean spouts, lime slices and jalapeno slices are crisp. They even offer you sliced onions, which is another great things about this restaurant. If you want an appetizer and can't decide what to order, then go for both spring rolls and egg rolls since they are scrumptious. The service is superb and it is such a delight interacting with the servers and the owner. They all are very lovely people that you would want to come back soon. The restaurant is pretty spacious so it is a good place for not only couple people but also a group. There is plenty of parking so you won't have a problem finding one.

Delicious pho and BBQ fried rice! Friendly staff and plenty of seating. High chairs are available for babies, and there's also a restroom on-site.

The rare steak pho was my favorite dish- pho is a hard dish to beat and mess up, and it came with not just a lot of noodles but meat. My next favorite were the pork rolls which were a huge portion of pork, veggie, and some crispy fried ingredient that provided the perfect crunch. As I'm writing this I'm craving another bite hahaha. The sizzling steak plate came with a lot of vegetables, salad, rice, and pickled daikon and carrot. This was the most expensive dish we ordered, but the steak felt too chewy and overcooked. We also ordered the banh khot appetizer, which is a dish I've never tried before but have always wanted to! I thought it was an egg dish, but was pleasantly surprised by the pancake texture and coconut flavor. We were so full by the time this dish came out, as they informed us the banh khot takes some time to prepare, but we still finished this entire spread. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely come back to Pho Ha! Their menu is extensive and has all the Vietnamese classics so I'm excited to try :)

This location, imo, is a lil pricey. We ordered a bowl of bún thịt nướng (~$17ish). For that price, other places will throw in an egg roll or two, but here, it's strictly grilled pork. We went ahead and ordered an egg roll side for $3.75. That was and is a very expensive add-on. The bánh hỏi tàu hũ ky (~$17) is priced similarly to the bún where you only get the main protein at cost. With that said, the food was fine, but I couldn't help but feel that they were nickel and dim-ing you. Other locations offer combinations at the same price point. I just like the variety without having to upgrade everything.

Recently I've been exploring Vietnamese food, specifically banh mi, and I've been seeing rave…read morereviews for Carrot & Daikon. I was craving banh mi today, so off I went to go check them out. I greatly appreciate the opinions my fellow Yelpers, and having asked a few for their top recommendations here at Carrot & Daikon, I already kinda knew what I wanted to try. Both the grilled pork and the crispy pork belly were top recs and I had a hard time deciding which to choose. First of all, the sandwich is huge! A crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside *house made* baguette, FILLED with the most flavorful meat and fresh & crunchy veggies. Since both pork recs sounded great and I couldn't decide, I ordered the grilled pork with extra meat and asked for the extra meat portion to be the crispy pork belly. Clever, right? Dilema diverted. I also got an order of grilled pork spring rolls, which also were really big. Like I already mentioned, the sandwich is so big, it could easily feed 2 people (unless you're super hungry. Then don't share!). The first bite had me converted to a Carrot & Daikon fan!!! The protein to veggies ratio was perfect, the sauce they use is delish and all being tucked into a baguette made the same day ~ bliss. And then I got a bite with the crispy pork belly...what???!! Where has this been all my life??? {confession time: the sandwich was so good that I came back the next day for another one}. I was so full from the sandwich that I saved the spring rolls for later. Those were also delicious! The ratio of protein to veggies however definitely was in favor of the veggies, but still a satisfying snack. I was very pleasantly surprised that their dining room is very spacious, with more seating that I was expecting for such a restaurant. There is an outside eating area off to the side which I believe is shared with the coffee shop next door. Service was friendly and efficient. They were at the beginning of the lunch rush and it looked like they were also filling on-line orders, but they were in a good rhythm of balancing both those and the in-person orders. A unique feature they have that made me smile was their robotic server. For those dining in, as orders come up are placed on it and it rolls up to your table with it. So fun!! Anyway, go check them out. You'll be so glad you did!

The menu is also not as extensive as the regular Vietnamese pho places; just a handful of pho and a handful of rice bowl choices along with some interesting appetizers and rolls. Service was really good. I got recommendations from the cashier and she checked on us after food was delivered. We had a Beef Brisket Pho, Wagyu Beef Rice Bowl, Beef Tendon small plate, and Pork Patty Roll. The broth of the pho was good, sweet with depth. We love the beef tendon! It was so soft and tasted just like jello! The Wagyu beef rice bowl is like the Korean bibimbap, a lot of chopped veggie, a fried egg and beef. I couldn't tell if the beef is Wagyu or not, since the texture didn't stand out. The Pork Patty roll surprised me of how crunchy it was inside. The pork Patty is like the Vietnamese sweet sausage, I like it better than the regular Vietnamese spring roll.
