When I need a super quick lunch that I can pick up and eat at my desk, WoK & Roll is great. I can order a 2 item combo with steam veggies, BBQ pork and Chicken Teriyaki. It's a good protein lunch. Service is great and fast since it's a steam table and food tastes fresh. Ambiance is stark and utilitarian with tables and chairs and a TV in the corner. Star rating stays the same from my last review, however I have had many more great experiences here than I had in the past.... Staff has definitely come up, very friendly and helpful. One woman (young, tall) in particular is outstanding and super cheery! Always a pleasure when she is helping us out. Food is still about the same, although I've learned what is good and what is average. I love their Orange Chicken and Chow Mein, that is and always will be a favorite for me. But my absolute favorite in this place is their Wonton Soup with Shrimp!! Oh my gosh, where have you been all my life??? I could eat this every day and never get tired of it. It is 100% satisfaction. So packed full of perfectly cooked veggies, shrimp and decadent wontons! The broth is delicious too, not too salty either. Definitely pick up a bowl of this, $8.99. I'm not going to knock them down for not giving fortune cookies for free, but they really should... that's all part of the Chinese food experience, even at these "dive bar" Chinese food places! Very disappointed with my favorite spot, been coming to this place over the years even after it's several name changes, the place used to be good but like all good things sometimes it comes to an end, went in for the half & half shrimp & Orange chicken plate, got served a ton of rice, the orange chicken was rock hard nearly chipped my tooth, four pieces of shrimp 2 of them were purplish black could not eat them, I'm glad that even after asking for a extra piece even though I was going to pay for it, it wasn't put on my plate and the icying on the cake was the very little amount of chow meing I literally ate all of it after 2 bites, the siracha sauce was replaced with a ketchup (spicy hot sauce) not very good at all, overall I'm extremely disappointed, I've brought several friends and family here and now I just have to tell them not to go there, things certainly have changed and not for the best, high prices remain, they are light on the portions and food quality has me scratching my head. Will not be coming back, time to find a different spot. If you are looking for good Chinese food, avoid this place. Happy eating. read more

I ordered through Door Dash but wanted something that was not on the app. I called in and the young lady that answered did not understand me and hung up. I was able to get through to a male who understood what I wanted and took my credit card to pay for the items and would include with my scheduled delivery. The items arrived but what I added was not enclosed. I called back only for the young lady to answer and repeatedly say that male was busy and called me crazy. I live close by and finally decided to give Wok & Roll a try. It was a late night dinner and they were about 15 minutes from closing. Located in a strip mall off the corner of Harbor Blvd and Imperial Hwy. My first visit here. Interior is a bit dated but appeared organized with a decent amount of seating. This is a walk-up to the counter ordering establishment. Upon glancing through the food selection, they were running low and some trays didn't have any food left so my options were limited. I decided to go with all chow mein noodles, kung pao chicken and broccoli beef. Guy serving me definitely packed in the food. There was plenty for leftovers the next day. The chow mein was good - thick noodles with nice chew to them. The kung pao chicken was good - nice chunks of chicken and vegetables. It was definitely on the KUNG PAO side of spiciness. Broccoli beef was tasty - dish was well cooked and seasoned. Overall the food tasted pretty good. If you're in the mood for fast service Chinese I would recommend Wok & Roll. read more

Honestly my go to for lunch. Service is always A-1! I love the sweet lady that always works the hot tables. My go to combo is the 2 item combo. Always get half veggies and half Chowmein, with char siu (ask them to freshly chop you your pieces, juicier that way), and typically a chicken dish of sort. Top dishes have to be char siu, teriyaki chicken, mushroom chicken, Chowmein, and the Singapore vermicelli. What I love about this place is there are FIVE different options for your base; plain steamed rice, fried rice, Singapore vermicelli ( dry curried noodles), Chowmein, and sautéed veggies. Their noodle soup is pretty fire. Definitely not your traditional egg noodles. They use the same noodles as their Chowmein (thick spaghetti egg noodle) with a chicken based broth, veggies (cabbage, carrots, zuchinni, broccoli), and your choice of meat. For $9/10 it's a deal. You get a huge portion and it has everything you can ask for. read more

This was the best experience. The food was flavorful. I jokingly sent a text to my girlfriend saying that I hope the food is this good in China lol! The woman behind the counter spent her time taking food orders, greeting everyone that walked in the door, cleaning the tables, asking customers how their food is, saying goodbye when they left. Haven't been here in a while. I'm sure many people are happy that things are opening up again. I used to eat here when it was California Wok. That was - as the gentlemen inside told me - over 5 years ago. I will be honest the food isn't what it used to be. And I understand that it is not supposed to be as every restaurant has its own signature flavors. I am not sure it was the time I showed up but the food wasn't what I could enjoy. The Orange Chicken was not crispy or crunchy and it was not at the correct temperature. THAT makes me a little trepidatious about what they do to monitor the foods they keep warm on the steam table. There are some real dangers when it comes to correct temperatures and the time they are allowed on steam tables. I ordered their Chicken Potstickers - which were hot and tasty! I also ordered a Beef & Noodle Dish that was also not bad. I had to season it with soy sauce and hot sauce. I think it could've used some more seasoning in the cooking process. The lady behind the counter was very nice. I will give this place another try. I believe you cannot judge a grubbery - good or bad - unless you go a minimum of three (3) times. I hope you enjoyed this review. If you check out my other reviews you will see I am very fair and always review restaurants on their own accord. I don't believe in comparing restaurants unless they offer the same items because it just isn't fair and it does nothing to she's light on anything useful. The menu boards are very pretty. The place is clean. There's plenty of parking as the restaurant is in a huge strip mall located on the corner of Harbor Blvd & Imperial Highway. There is no indoor dining so order and Take Out. This place is super bomb and reasonably priced. I usually come here with my brothers at night all faded and order the beef udon noodles and the chow fun. These are made to offer and they have a huge selection of made to order dishes that come out fresh and piping hot. The udon noodles are soooo good!! Yesterday I came in around noon and it was packed and everything looked fresh. I got 2 beef udon noodles, a 2 item combo plate, and Mongolian beef plate for less than 60 bucks. Amazing ! read more

I was in the area dropping off some things at my Storage place and stumbled across this delightful place. It's in a shopping center by a Pollo Loco. I wasn't expecting it to be so cute and stylish inside. It was lunchtime so I ordered the Bento box. Everything was fabulous. Huge fresh portions. Friendly staff. I highly recommend this Sushi place. I consider giving a business one star one of the worst things you can possibly do, unfortunately in this case I really had no choice. I'm in line and about to order when the owner starts to suddenly help the person behind me because they are friends, after flagrantly brushing me a sign she then starts to help me and treating me as if I interrupted her very important conversation. I haven't been here since before COVID. I stopped on my way home today after work. Very disappointed, beef broccoli tastes like fish.
