I will say this 2 stars goes for the fried rice, Amie Fried Rice with Chicken Onion.. The rice was so hard and I have to heat it up again... I order at 12:40 and when I have it at 2:15 after work, it was so, very hard like rock. Am I order something wrong? Because the Pho, the pho is amazing! But this one... mind blowing. I am sad after exactly a year, my updated review is exactly the same as previous one. I ordered in advance to make sure that my noodle are rice noodle I mentioned it on the phone please make sure they are extra soft please . During my lunch break again I ordered in advanced, I was put on hold for more than five minutes which I didn't mind but I knew they were busy so I was patient and made sure I gave every notes with cautions in case they would make a mistake. I didn't want the egg noodles. They said it will take 10-15 minutes I got there actually 20 minutes after I ordered, it wasn't ready they were packing so I waited. Then to my surprise the noodle I opened when I get to work for my lunch it was egg noodle. I thought if I was confirming two times they would be more cautious. I understand it's busy time but if there's extra notes and confirmation I would appreciate if they put more care to it. It's a special request for a reason, I just simply didn't want it not because of my preference it's because I literally couldn't chew these noodles because of my stomach issues. I wish they could really pay attention. It's unfortunate I want to support local small business and love going here. I don't want to blame the team there either because I understand it's busy and business is hard. Please come up with an efficient process to double checking these orders please. The service was okay, pretty average overall. We ordered a side of cream cheese wontons and were disappointed by how small the portion was for the price. Unfortunately, the biggest issue came when we noticed a cockroach crawling on the wall while we were eating. That completely ruined the experience and made us lose our appetite. I tried Pho Amie for the first time. I was excited to try a new pho place but the first thing I noticed is the portion of veggies they give you with the pho is really small. Their extra noodles in their unlimited refills come out starchy and clumped together. Other pho restaurant like Sup noodle have their noodles in broth. In the mood for pho, we found Pho A'mie and decided to go here based off rave reviews and mouthwatering pictures. Located in a strip mall right next to a Feng Cha, there's plenty of parking and the area in general feels safe. We were seated right away, and the waiter approached us right away to get our orders in. I noticed as we were waiting on our food that they had pick up orders galore. There was a constant hustle and bustle going on in the kitchen, so I was excited for our food. We ordered: crispy egg rolls, house combination pho (with a huge short rib; my first time having it and it did not disappoint), build your own pho with beef, a salmon filet over rice, a Thai iced tea, and a side of fried rice. Our meal was superb. Loved that they offer free noodle refills, love even more that they offer free bowls of pho to kids (you know they aren't finishing their own bowls lol). Pho A'mie is perfect for small to mid sized groups for dinner (they have the capacity to fit large groups, but you'd all be separated by booths), casual dates, and family dinners with young kids. Be aware of your surroundings, I did see two disheveled people wandering the parking lot with their personal belongings. Upon getting seated, I noticed the smell of the restaurant right away. I come here often, it never disappoints. I usually get the make your own and get brisket and beef belly, but I've had the chicken and shrimp pho which is just as great. I officially found the best Pho spot in the city! I absolutely loved coming here. The staff genuinely greeted and sat me and explained the build-a-pho menu. The place was clean, playing great, popular music and pretty busy. All the tables were mostly filled and I seen people were ordering fun, colorful drinks, apps and full entrees that were looking really good. I ended up ordering a butterfly lychee lemonade, the spring roll platter, and beef stew soup. The spring roll platter has 3 different kinds of rolls on it. 1 has beef, 1 has a fried egg roll and the 3rd has shrimp. But what was impressive is they used healthy fresh cut types of lettuce and veggies unlike I've ever seen before. The beef soup had big pieces of carrots and beef and pho noodles at the bottom. Just a fabulous choice and it was very tasty and healthy and comforting for what I needed tonight. I still can't get over how nice the staff was. I will be coming here weekly now. My baby sister was feeling a little under the weather so I took her out for some hot pho. We both ordered the house combo pho for $20 a bowl. It was satisfying and filling. I enjoyed the tender cut steak, the delicious meatballs, and the succulent rib bone. My personal favorite way to enjoy pho is with a squirt of Sriracha, a dollop of hoisin sauce, three crumbled up basil leaves, squeeze of lemon and a handful of bean sprouts. I love having hot soup that is just a tiny bit spicy to warm you up through the cold weather. The service was phenomenal , very kind, very attentive. Nice ambiance, fast service and mediocre food. It's a nice little spot the staff was nice. I ordered food around 8ish which was close to closing. I got buttered noodles with cajun shrimp. I've been coming to this place for 3 years. I literately come in at least once a month to eat with my family. My daughter and my wife received their pho order. Lady up front says we are only missing yours. It'll be on its way soon. 20 mins pass by, I call her over and she asks would you like more noodles. I explain I have not received my pho. She than goes and grabs it. As I'm eating i notice things and get disgusted. I order the Super Bowl pho which comes with bone in ribs. Both were cold frozen to the touch as I'm peeling the meat off the bone. Literally frozen bone and meat as I'm peeling it off. I feel it icy. I call the lady over. I explain what's going on. She takes one of the ribs on a plate and says she will show the guys in the back. She never comes back to me with an explanation nor a replacement. So I immediately get up and go pay with anger. I made the mistake and ordered their pork over rice (Cơm thịt nướng). It was trash. The meat was paper thin and burnt. Their salad lacked the sesame dressing as described on their menu. I requested from two different servers for dressing and it never came. I even had to stand up and walk to the counter area, but it seems like the waitresses don't care. Was craving a Banh Mi and looked up the closest place that sold one and Pho A'mie appeared. They are located in the small shopping plaza just south of Nutwood on Placentia. This is a small, sit-down restaurant that serves obviously Pho and other Vietnamese items. Parking was easy to find and the service was fine. I arrived and ordered with one of the servers for my food to-go. I went next door for a bit and came back about 10 minutes later and my Banh Mi was ready. I enjoyed the Banh Mi and thought the meat was super tender and everything tasted great, definitely better than the other shops that just sell Banh Mi.
