Had brunch plans in Brea and was craving Asian food, so we found Pho Ha that was open early and had great food! Neighborhood spot, nothing fancy, just exactly what you expect and want. The rare steak pho was my favorite dish- pho is a hard dish to beat and mess up, and it came with not just a lot of noodles but meat. My next favorite were the pork rolls which were a huge portion of pork, veggie, and some crispy fried ingredient that provided the perfect crunch. As I'm writing this I'm craving another bite hahaha. The sizzling steak plate came with a lot of vegetables, salad, rice, and pickled daikon and carrot. This was the most expensive dish we ordered, but the steak felt too chewy and overcooked. We also ordered the banh khot appetizer, which is a dish I've never tried before but have always wanted to! I thought it was an egg dish, but was pleasantly surprised by the pancake texture and coconut flavor. We were so full by the time this dish came out, as they informed us the banh khot takes some time to prepare, but we still finished this entire spread. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely come back to Pho Ha! Their menu is extensive and has all the Vietnamese classics so I'm excited to try :) read more

I really liked the food here - we stopped in here after a rainy day and needed Pho to warm up. The wait was a little long considering we waited the longest for Pho - I've been to several other places where the Pho comes out as soon as you order. I tried the chicken pho and the beef stir fry noodles. The beef dish was sooo flavorful, but some of the beef was a little tough. The pho tasted good and there was enough for leftovers. The workers were all kind and the place was very clean. They had a decent amount of people eating in there on this rainy day, so maybe that's why the food was a little slower for take out. The only other thing is it was kind of expensive! I spend $44 on broth and beef noodles that they classified as spaghetti noodles ... a little steep, but if you can swing it, it's still a tasty bite. read more

I come to Pho Ha once in a while due to work being close by. My go to order is a small bowl of #8 pho and spring rolls. The broth is always flavorful and comforting. The times I've dined in, you're greeted at the entrance and can choose any table or booth to sit in. The wait isn't very long and the food arrives in a timely manner. read more

The tendon in the pho is good quality- my favorite meat in pho is tendon so I always get this and usually it's not great quality but I loved the tendon here. I moved here from Westminster (Little Saigon) and have been coming to this spot for over 10 years. This location consistently delivers some of the best service and Vietnamese food around. It even gets full approval from my brother, who's from Vietnam--so that says a lot. The wide variety of dishes keeps things exciting and lets you appreciate different flavors and parts of the culture. The restaurant is always clean and well-kept, even on the busiest days. I've been coming here for 12 years and it is still my favorite pho place. My usual is the pho tai. I love that they still have small and large, even though there's not much of a price difference. The avocado smoothie with boba is also really good, and I've had friends that ordered rice plates, noodles, and appetizers, and I believe their menu is overall very good! It's a casual, typical pho restaurant vibe but there is roofed outdoor seating available as well. I ordered pho and my husband got a bahn mi sandwich. I didn't really expect much but the pho here was actually pretty decent. I think it's good enough to satisfy a pho craving. The bahnmi wasn't cut in half so we wanted to ask the staff to get it cut. It was a pretty chill day when we dined but there was hardly any service at the table. So my husband had to go up to them to ask. Instead of getting the sandwich cut in the kitchen, they gave my husband a knife so he can cut the sandwich himself. The staff didn't even come over for our check so we had to go to the front to get that ourselves. They weren't even in the counter area much so it took a while to even check out. I went here with my friend for lunch and I'll say the food is pretty decent for the price. The restaraunt was clean, service was good, and there was no wait. However, I have definitely been to better Vietnamese places in SoCal. The Nem Nuong Cuon was delicious but the Com Tam was only ok. The meat was dry which threw off the dish for me. The portion size was good and it filled me up. I wouldn't order the dish again but I would maybe come back to try other dishes in the future if I'm in the area and craving Vietnamese food. read more

Pho Ha is that OG type of pho restaurant that has the uniform and consistent taste across all of its locations. It certainly is not my favorite however it is local to where I work and my husband and I will stop by every now and then for a quick and hot lunch. You can expect to get your bowl out within five minutes or less however, other items on the menu may require some addt time. I ordered a new item on their menu today, banh khot and it did take a while longer however it was worth it. It's not the best that I've had however, it certainly satisfied my cravings, was freshly made, and flavorful. I do wish that there were more lettuce to wrap it up in.. we received two lettuce leaves that were cut in half and there were a total of eight banh khot.. not exactly enough to wrap however I still did inhale the dish. I came here for lunch and left the restaurant disgusted! I grew up eating authentic Vietnamese food so I can say, YES, I am qualified to be a critic on Vietnamese cuisines. We ordered 2 different pho, number 1 the house special and number 11 both in large size (cost $1 more for large size instead of regular), curry chicken, and lemon grass chicken. Very basic Vietnamese dishes. What can go wrong!! The pho broth was not hot enough to cook the raw meat that came on top of the pho. We had to ask for an extra bowl of hot broth to add to the bowl in hope that it would make it hotter to cook the meat. The owner gentleman was nice enough to do this for us. The pho broth itself did not taste spectacular, and the one thing I could not stand was the smell of their meat. When this type of meat tripe is not cooked or cleaned properly it has a lingering odor. YUCK!! The curry chicken was came with large pieces of thigh and leg and wings. There was no white meat so good luck if you want this. Basically they used cheap thigh quarter pieces of meat that was hormone fed chicken because the leg pieces were gigantic! They put taro only in the curry broth, no carrots or potatoes like in the traditional chicken curry. On top of that, it tasted awful and had a lingering odor that I could not describe. The lemon grass chicken is a very basic traditional dish that every Vietnamese family grows up enjoying. Well, here again it was cooked differently. The chicken pieces were cut in huge cubed pieces that you can hurt someone if you threw a piece at them in a food fight! The dish came in a brownish color sauce instead of the clear lighter chicken and lemon grass color. They added green peppers to the dish!! There was no care in preparation for this dish. And yes, there was lemon grass in here for a slightly lemon grass aroma. I was thoroughly upset when I left the restaurant thinking how do they get away with feeding people this poor quality food. I came to the conclusion that they got away with it because in Brea there are lots more non-Vietmese people and maybe people just didn't know the difference. I rated the restaurant a 2 star because at least it was clean and service was friendly. But that is the only positive I can say about this business. read more

Food here is authentic, piping hot, and the flavor is delicious. The pho is the best in town! My daughters' both request to eat here every week lol. Their Thai tea is strong and so, so good. Their bbq pork spring rolls with the crispy rollup inside is my FAVE. I tried the fried fish (#43) and it was crispy, zero bones, and very very tasty! I brought my family to this place since my wife had to drop off a package at the FedEx office next door. So it was a convenient rather than really craving to dine at this restaurant. The dinner turned out to be a disappointment. It was a Friday evening but the restaurant was only 20% full. I know the reason why later. After we walked in, we wanted to sit at a larger table because it would be more comfortable. But the man, probably the owner, asked us how many we had in our party and then kinda "forced" us to take a smaller table. We reluctantly did. I don't see many other customers coming in whom would need a larger table. In fact, there were many other larger tables still available. The food was decent, not exceptional stood out, just standard #1, #2 or such. The service was just so so. The man was standing next to me all the time when I was going pay the bill, which made me very uncomfortable since I was debating should I use credit card, Apple Pay or just cash. And we I decided to put the cash down in the little check plate, the man grabbed the money right away within seconds. At the end, no courtesy "thank you" from the restaurant when we were walking to the door to leave. I gave three stars because I didn't feel comfortable or welcomed from the beginning. Been coming here for years but wasn't able to make it out here in the last year. I was craving their clay pot (fried rice with an egg on top). Food came out piping hot and still sizzling. The clay pot was just as good as I remember it. I could ay maybe the egg rolls could be a little crispier but they are still sooo delicious. The way their fish sauce is prepared is very good and their picked garnish on the egg roll plate really elevated the flavor of the dish. We love this photo place! We have been going here for the last 2 years. The noodles don't get soggy and the broth is good:) the owner Daren is the best and always treats us with kindness. He's a big reason why we keep coming back. The food comes out fast and hot! Food always tastes amazing! The orange juice is fresh (really hard to find fresh orange juice these days). And so are the smoothies - all natural and doesn't taste artificial. There was only one individual seating guests and taking orders while the rest of the employees were in the back/kitchen. Upon receiving the check, the owner/server tipped himself 18% "automatic gratuity" for our table.
