A friend recommended Beijing Restaurant to me, and I was definitely not disappointed. We were greeted and seated immediately, and the restaurant had such a nice, warm atmosphere. My friend and I ordered the black bean noodles, honey walnut shrimp, and kung pao chicken. Everything was packed with flavor and really delicious. I also liked that the meals didn't feel overly heavy afterward, which made the experience even better. If you've been thinking about checking this place out, you definitely should!

It's greasy, it's down to earth, and it's a perfect place to have some good Chinese-Korean food and hang out with friends/family All plates were generously portioned and flavoured perfectly. Personally, I would prefer less grease in the stir fried dishes. I can still recommend every item we got: - Kung Pao Beef: super tender beef sautéed with some chilis and a lot of different crunchy veg for a textural experience. Love the more unique baby corn and water chestnut in this dish - Stir Fried Eggplant: don't mistake this as a health dish - it is absolutely glistening with oil. But that's part of what makes the eggplant so tender and flavourful. Give me a bowl of rice and this dish, and I'm a happy girl - Black Bean Noodles: we upgraded to the large size bowl for $5 extras. It was plentiful to share for 3 people. Generous amount of sauce was provided so every bite was coated in umami goodness Lots of families hanging out in this moderately sized restaurant. It can have a loud energetic environment. The staff and very friendly, though like a typical Chinese restaurant, expect to flag them if you need anything. Restaurant is in a small plaza with plenty parking

I'm a a big fan of jjajjangmyeon but my BF not so much, so when I saw this spot offered Chinese food too, we had to visit! The jjajjangmyeon here is delish and I love that it comes with a side of pickled yellow radish and kimchi. The kimchi has such a good flavor, not overly fermented and sour. We asked for more and the waitress was happy to bring another serving out for us. We also ordered the beef chow fun and mongolian beef. The beef chow fun was really good. Had a nice wok hei flavor without being overbearing, and the noodles and veggies in the dish were cooked perfectly. The beef was super tender in both dishes, but I regret ordering the mongolian beef because they ended up having the same flavor profile. I would probably stick with the beef chow fun, and just order a different entree. They only have basic condiments like vinegar, salt, pepper, on the table but if you ask, they do have sriracha and chili oil to bring out. The chili oil had a good flavor, but wasn't spicy. All dishes are family sized and perfect for sharing. They'll even bring you out smaller sharing plates if you want. Their menu is so big! I attached some recent photos from earlier this month so prices and menu items should be up to date. Parking is easy as they're in a pretty low key plaza and they do take CC.

BACK AT IT AGAIN This time we got sizzling rice soup, jjangmyeon and the fried pork. Food quality amazing as always. Flavorful but not overpowering with the perfect texture for all the dishes. Service fast and friendly. Ambiance remains the same as the last reviews. The food here never disappoints. ^^

Good Chinese / Korean food. Their menu is huge and they have a lot of great options. They have jjampong, jajangmyeon, and tangsuyuk. Beyond that, they have a lot of good Chinese food with pork, seafood, beef, etc. We ordered the sizzling rice soup to start which had a good amount of seafood. Delicious and good serving size. The moo shu pork was good and not dry. The jajangmyeon was a bit salty for our preference but still delicious. The tangsuyuk was just okay. Once it got cold, it was tough to eat and chew. Overall, service was good and food was delicious. Price is reasonable and great for family style dinners. Will be back!

Portion is large, family-style serving so prices make sense (looks expensive at first). Takeout order was hot and ready within a few minutes of my arrival. Spring rolls weren't my favorite (personal taste) but everything else was delicious and nostalgic.

Food: 4/5 Food is amazing here. It's a Korean-Chinese fusion place. The sweet and sour pork is crispy. I like that they used pineapple in their sauce. Black bean noodles portion was huge for the price. Must order! Service: very attentive and polite. We waited a while for the black bean noodles, but they noticed it before we asked. Came to double check that we are still waiting and got it solved quickly. Ambiance: plenty of tables. Good for family dinner. This place gets crowded on fridays and weekend. Ample of parking outside with security.

Ample parking is a plus. The mall has several culinary ports of interest.

My apologies to Beijing and Sunnyvale and two Beijing in China both places I really like a lot for not posting my 100% endorsement. Beijing, it is our absolute go-to for Chinese food. In fact, the Chinese food is influence by Korean cuisine. Beijing has three private rooms. We've hosted friends from out of town in a private room several times. The requirement for a reservation is ordering $200 worth of food. The room set six people to eight people. So even if you sat in the main dining area, which is now expanded it'd easily run a bill of 200 bucks. Pro tip get the room and close the door and enjoy.

It's been far too long since I've had a solid Chinese-Korean meal, so when my aunt took me and my husband to` Beijing Restaurant, it felt like a little slice of heaven. I'm definitely a jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and jjampong (seafood soup) kind of person, and this place really hit the mark. The portions were generous, and the flavors were on point--well-seasoned and delicious. While I do prefer my jjampong a bit spicier, I understand that we were sharing with others who have a milder palate, so I didn't mind it too much. Typically, these dishes are paired with a fried pork dish drizzled in a sweet, tangy sauce, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the sauce was served on the side here. This allowed me to dip the pork exactly how I like it, which was a nice touch. We also ordered a bone-in chicken dish (highly recommended!), which arrived piping hot and absolutely delicious. The string beans were another standout for me because it was perfectly cooked with pork and full of flavor. My husband decided to order a seafood sea cucumber dish, which, while not my personal favorite, was praised by others at the table. I think it's more of a mental hurdle for me to get past the idea of eating sea cucumber, but I'll admit, it wasn't bad at all. In fact, those who enjoyed it said this place did it perfectly, it just wasn't something that I would eat. I personally love crab cheese wontons and tend to order them whenever I'm at Chinese restaurants, but unfortunately, this place only offers plain cheese wontons. That's a bit of a letdown for me but they did let me know prior to ordering, but it was one of the reason why there is a slight reduction in rating. Lastly, there was one other downside that affected our overall experience. One of our group members, an elderly person, politely asked if the server could pour the soup into individual bowls for us after bringing out our dish and small bowls to serve them in. The server, however, insisted they didn't do that and had us individually pour our own soup. I felt it's typically part the service industry and that left a slightly sour note for me. All in all, the food was delicious and I'd definitely return for the tasty dishes and cozy atmosphere the next time I revisit my aunt in San Jose.

Story to say the decline continues. Portions seem to have gotten smaller while still at the higher prices. Skip the prawns with honey walnuts. Prawns had too much batter and the dish needed more walnuts. Service is attentive as always. We came on a Thursday night and seating was plenty. Just not as crowded as it's been in the past. Not sure what changed here but it's not for the better.

Went back to try their jajangmyeon. The noodles itself were perfectly cooked and just have enough chew. The black bean sauce was not overly salty. Very slight sweet taste. Better than most restaurants. Also tried the Pork with Garlic Sauce. The meat was tender and juicy. The flavor was sweet, salty with a slight spicy kick. Love both.

We came here serendipitously because we didn't want to wait in the long line for Giwa, and we ended up enjoying a delicious meal here. The menu is extensive and what we tried, we enjoyed. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to have ordered jajangmyun and jjampong. We got the jajangmyun, fried tofu appetizer, sweet and sour pork, and scallops with garlic sauce. I thought all the dishes were well-executed and tasty, and service was super quick. I really liked the cabbage kimchi they provided. Korean Chinese fusion is a nice change of pace from just straight Chinese food. I'd like to come back and try out more dishes on their menu.

Beijing restaurant is one of those korean chinese restaurants which feature both a vast menu of Korean and Chinese cuisine We made a reservation for 7 which gave us the private room which can hold a max of 10 comfortably Overall the flavor and dishes were huge portions and had a lot to offer The jajangmyeon was solid and tang su yuk was also solid Their crispy rice soup was fantastic and mu shu had great flavor too Overall great experience and worth it

There's plenty of parking, and the space itself is spotless, beautifully decorated, and clearly well cared for. The staff were all so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The star of the show was definitely the meat. After trying nearly every Korean BBQ spot in Santa Clara, I can confidently say Chungdam has the best quality in the area. The difference in flavor and texture of the beef is immediately noticeable. It was tender, well-marbled, and full of rich taste. The banchan were outstanding too, especially the raw crab (my absolute favorite). We also loved the steamed egg, japchae, and bibimbap which were all delicious and perfectly executed. Our server, Bryan, took excellent care of us on our first visit and made the whole experience even better. He even told us about a back room that you can reserve for special occasions or even for hosting after work gatherings or dinners with friends We'll definitely be back soon! We ordered the Signature A set menu for two. This set consisted of: Glass Noodles w/Beef and Mushrooms - really is Japchae, glass noodles stir fried with beef slices, mushrooms and cabbage. A savory, umami dish to start the palate. Selection of Banchan - spring onion pancakes, creamy macaroni, chili crab, cabbage kimchi and seaweed. All very tasty, especially the chili crab (sweet tasting meat). Bibimbap - a full size serving of rice, mixed vegetables, ground beef served in a hot stone bowl with a fried egg on top. My wife who is very picky about bibimbap, said this was very good. Soy Bean Stew - aka beef tofu soup, spicy, hearty and flavorful with tender cubes of beef. Marinated Short Rib - two very good sized rib steak, tender (Wagyu like) and grilled to perfection by the staff. The Signature set really did show off the best of what Chungdam has to offer.

I highly recommend ordering the combos here over ala carte! All the food came out piping hot and fresh. It was the perfect bar food; just really expensive for the quality of what you're eating. The place had ambient purple lighting inside, kpop & korean street food videos displaying on the TVs, tons of korean idol posters, and music absolutely blasting overhead. I enjoyed the lively vibe, but will say the music got a bit too loud and my friends and I really had to raise our voice to speak to each other. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience and would definitely come back!

Not only was this the worst Korean food I've had to date, but the service was a mess. I try my best…read moreto be understanding and I usually never leave negative reviews, but this one I had to share. We ordered a combo (contains three dishes) and not only did they forget two of the three items, but when we asked for the two items they only brought out the second one over an hour later. By the time we were done with our second item, we asked them to just not bring out the third item in our combo because it was clear they hadn't even begun to prepare it because they forgot again. Despite only receiving two of the three items in our combo over the span of our two hours, they still charged us the full $73 for the combo. Additionally, they kept bringing out the wrong items and also brought out things twice when we had already received it. Food overall was undeniably bad for how it was priced. The quality of the pork in the katsu was extremely tough and stringy, not to mention how it was absolutely drowned in sauce. Kimchi fried rice was wet, as it was drowned in sauce and oil, barely fried. Chicken wings were also drenched in oil and sauce, and it was soggy, rubbery, and overall terrible. In conclusion, don't waste your time or money here. This was my second time at this establishment, and both times were atrocious.
