Service was excellent at a late lunch midweek. Decor is simple and tastefully done. Not too much decor and lots of light. Food was very good, I have a very high standard for this Section. Started with the spring rolls with shrimp and pork, good, peanut sauce was average. I had Pho with Egg noodles with chicken broth and shrimp pork and chicken dumplings (12g) on menu. I really enjoyed the mi hoanh thanh (egg noodle with chicken and pork/ shrimp wontons). It's usually not something I order from a Vietnamese noodle shop as I usually order the pho. The bowl came out piping hot with steam billowing. The broth was sweet and savory. The noodles were al dente just like I prefer, and the slices of chicken were okay. Five large wontons came in the bowl. I was surprised that they had a good chunk of medium shrimp tail meat in each wonton. I expected chopped shrimp throughout. The wonton skin was of medium thickness. There was enough sliced onion, green onion, and fried garlic in the bowl that I barely added any basil. The mini egg rolls (10 ct) were cute but pricey. I could see kids really enjoying them as they are the thickness of an index finger and so petite. The price per bowl is a little more pricey than nearby areas with about the same amount of food, but the flavor was good and the portion was more normal than small, so I think I'll visit if I'm ever in that area again. read more

Food is good IF you eat there. If you order online they will NOT give you the same items they have on the menu that says it comes with. They will tell you that you gave to pay extra. Never order a take out order. I guess they only attend you good in person for that tip $$. read more

It's not just the food that keeps me coming back. The folks who work here make it feel like a second home. Since they opened a couple years ago, Phó Ton has been one of my favorite places to eat. My go-to dish is the shaken beef (bo luc lac, 12H on the menu). The rice is always perfectly sticky, and the brown sauce the beef is cooked in is savory with a tiny kick of spice. When it's cold outside (you know, the three days a year that actually happens in Houston), I will get the beef stew. I can't remember the proper name, but I think it's toward the top of the F section on the menu. The broth is deep, the carrots and potatoes are toothy, the beef is tender, and the French bread is shut-your-mouth-omg-wut delicious with its crisp crust and pillow-y insides. These guys have the best chicken broth I've ever had. Their bun bo hue is spicy and the noodles are never overcooked. My favorite appetizers are the pork and shrimp spring rolls, the fried shrimp, and the mini egg rolls (which are stinkin' CUUUUTE!). They make a mean Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee. One of my favorite things about their Vietnamese coffee is that they serve it already stirred up over ice. Most other places bring it out hot while it finishes brewing, requiring you to stir the coffee and condensed milk yourself. I *always* make a mess when I do this. I realize it's a "me" problem, but the fact that I can save some face due to the way they serve this drink is much appreciated. I eat here often, and my favorite person, Nikki, usually takes care of me. She's genuinely kind, always takes great care of all of her guests, sometimes serving 5 or 6 tables at a time (as a former server, I know how demanding that is). She's patient with guests who aren't familiar with the cuisine and will help them find something they'll enjoy (also not an easy thing to do). The other folks who work here are just as wonderful, it just happens that I know Nikki the best. Everybody here makes this restaurant one of the best in the area, and I value the sense of community I feel when I'm there. read more

Firstly, their spring rolls are A1!! Their bun thit nuong has a lot of potential and comes with large, succulent shrimp. But the pork ... didn't seem like pork very much. If it weren't for all the fat still on the meat, I wouldn't have been certain it was pork. It would be cool if they trimmed the fat off a little more. The soy sauce isn't Kikkoman and is a nice change from the mentioned sauce. I'll try some other dishes instead of the bun next time. --- UPDATE: I tried the E10 which was Bun but with chicken and shrimp and I found it to be most appetizing. Finally, a pho place opened near me. Before this place I'd always have to drive to Pho Danh on 1960. First, the atmosphere is just lovely. It's not super fancy, but very clean and modern. very warm and friendly. I assume it's a family run business because I always see who I think is their daughter or niece around. Their service is good, very prompt and friendly. I usually come around noon or afternoon and always get seated right away. About the food--I almost always get the Pho Tai, as it is my go-to whenever I go to a pho restaurant. Their pho is amazing, it only comes in one size, and it's a little bit pricy but worth the eat. For some reason I was thinking it was a large restaurant, but instead, it's a small corner spot along louetta in a mainly residential area. Nicely decorated and no doubt costs a lot to build out. I mainly came here for the bun bo hue since it gets glowing reviews but also enjoyed the pho as well. Not a bad option for Vietnamese and prices are reasonable, if you're in the area. Wow! First off the place is super updated and extremely clean! The service is excellent, and the Pho here is phenomenal! It has only been open since January, and the owner just moved here from Vancouver, Washington where a relative is running his Pho restaurant there. I normally love this place, but today was awful!! I ordered the Chicken Pho soup, pork sandwich and a vermicelli pork plate all to go. I told the girl I wanted extra Hoisin sauce too. When we went to pick it up they didn't have good bread for the sandwich so no sandwich so I got spring rolls. I got home to make the soup & there was only 1 small packet of Hoisin sauce, no lime no jalapeños and no onion or cilantro, just a bag of sprouts an 1 twig of Thi basil too many other places to go to want to go back after this. I knocked my review down to two stars because of the waiter's terrible service and blasé attitude. He was bad from the start and progressively got worst through dinner... It was obvious that he didn't want to be there and that he doesn't like his job, serving, nor talking to his customers. When I received the check, I barely put cash in it before he tooked it from my hands as he walked by the table! He didn't even have the decency to wait for me to put it in the table before grabbing it! For the area, the Vietnamese food is decent. Majority of the customers are non-Viet, so the food is a little Americanized. But it's a decent meal with decent prices. Just skip the young waiter with the apathetic attitude. read more

Quick service, good food and decent prices. Our total meal with one appetizer, two drinks, and two entrees with tax came to $24. We had the shrimp shrimp rolls. I didn't love them to be honest because the shrimp wasn't to my liking but my spouse love it. It only had the noodles, lettuce and shrimp but the peanut sauce was fantastic. I had the beef pho which was huge. The bowls are gigantic and the broth was good but not overpowering. It lacked a bit of flavor so I added a lot of hot sauce. The noodles were good, the beef was good (although difficult to eat without cutting), and I liked the basil and bean sprouts on the side along with a wedge of lime. My spouse had the bun with grilled chicken and egg roll. He loved his and said the grilled chicken was fabulous because it actually was grilled. Overall we were impressed. It was cheap, quick and tasty. They close at 8 p.m. even on the weekends which is the only negative plus they accidentally brought out our entrees along with the appetizer but no big deal since the appetizer was a cold dish anyway. read more

My girlfriend and I have eaten at many, many different pho restaurants through out the city and have had our go-to spot for about 8 months now.. that was until we decided to give Pho Ton a shot. From the moment they brought out our two Pho Tai (#7C on the menu) bowls we could smell something different in the broth. The steak was thin and very tender, very easy to bite and tasted delicious. The noodles were cooked just right. And the broth was absolutely fantastic, hands down the best I have had. Besides the great food the ambiance of the place is very nice and pretty modern. We went around 7:45 and were seated immediately with a very little wait time between ordering and receiving our meal. I don't care what anybody else says. This place is amazing. Me and my girlfriend soon to be parents come in here almost every Friday to eat. The staff is so friendly and the food is amazing. Every time we come to eat they ask how we are and always ask about our baby, and they also remember what we want. Every time we come here before we order he asks "do you want the usual" and proceeds to tell us what we order every friday. This place is amazing. We eat Pho more often than any other food when going out and are not viet namese. First bowl was in 1987. Also we have tried every pho place in NW Houston. That said, this one is the best. Table setting is elegant. Beautiful all porcelain settings with 3 different chili sauces. The one being obviously house made. We had fresh spring rolls which were precisely made and works of art. Giant shrimps and the pork assembled so each bite contained it all. The peanut sauce is rich and sticky with crunchy roasted peanuts on top. The pho Dac Biet was perfect. The broth rich and aromatic. Absolutely loaded with meat. Best beef ball. Also the rare sirloin on top was still raw which seems to be a lost art in Houston. The tripe was pleasantly under boiled and not chewy. The brisket was fatty in the way prime rib eye is marbled, not with fat hanging on the edge. The location in Cypress is a nice area of town and the service and ambiance was great. These guys get it. We now have a new favorite pho restaurant! read more

Just finished working out and craved spring rolls lol Ordered spring rolls just shrimp, round steak pho and green tea smoothie. The rolls were decent, and the smoothie was very good. At first when I started to have my pho I felt that the broth was missing something so I added more hoisin sauce. The deeper into the bowl I got, the taste of the broth was very good. I'm very picky lol I lived in a heavily populated Asian community and I had to use the places I've visited as a standard. This place passed my taste, I shall return to try the vermicelli plates. Good Pho with a very rich broth. Pho is really the only thing I like there.. This is the only place I have ever been where the usual sides for the Pho, (basil, jalapenos, bean sprouts, lime) cost extra? Plan to wait at least 5 minutes before eating as the soup is way too hot. Same thing every time I've been there. Another this place only thing and I mean third degree burns hot! Not a fan of their chicken spring rolls, dark meat.
