We are on a hunt for a good Vietnamese restaurant as the one we have been going to for the past year started to let us down. We ordered the pork, shrimp and eggroll salad bowl and an order of shrimp and pork spring rolls. The spring rolls were tasteless, along with the peanut sauce provided. The bowls had very good pork but the shrimp had kind of a strange texture. The eggrolls were a just a bread roll. I looked inside and there really was nothing in it. I am giving them an ok because the bowl itself was ok, although the value was not there. We paid at least $10 more dollars than we have paid for this order at other places. So our search continues for the perfect bowl. read more

I found about this place from my aunt who knows pho better than I do. She says it's decent, pricier and you get a lot less food than other places. I got a beef pho with mini egg rolls and an Iced Vietnamese coffee. The pho came out piping hot and was pretty good. The mini egg rolls were not worth the price, but I could see how little kids would enjoy it. The Iced coffee was really icy... Sonic style ice. Right when you enter you can smell and feel the warmth of the mouthwatering authentic Vietnamese Cuisine. The service was exquisite and served with a smile as the food came out one after another. The food itself made me feel as though I was back in Vietnam. The only downfall is overeating and and leaving with a food comma. My favourite dish is the Spicy Lemon Chicken. It's made with a turmeric paste, lemon grass, lemon, and dried chilli. The flavour was out of this world. My parents had bun bon hue and raved about the broth and noodles. This place is worth the drive from across town. Got the grilled pork and shrimp vermicelli. Freshest ingredients you could ask for and the flavor on the pork was outstanding. Tried this place as I was looking for a pho place around the neighborhood. It was little past lunch time, so I able to seat pretty soon after I walked in. Atmosphere, really clean and new. A lot of table settings to accommodate groups. Part of kitchen is exposed to the dining area, and makes you trust their work. I Waiter was really thorough with my order, I asked for few adjustment and he was willing to make it work for me. I ordered Pho tai nam, brisket and flank meats, with no cilantro. My order came out perfectly, and pho was amazing. Broth was little bit on the salty side, and it was super super hot! I ended up adding cold water to my broth, but that's just how my taste buds lean towards. I can tell the broth was cooked just not too long ago, and noodle was freshly prepared. If there was anything that i was not happy with, their meats were really tough. I will definitely come back to try different dishes here. read more

The pho at this place is so pretty good. The service was quick! Especially since their were only 3 people there I believe , 2 in the kitchen and one server running the entire floor. A while back, I was the first to add Pho Ton to Yelp, when they just opened. I was so excited that we will finally get a Pho restaurant in what used to be a "culinary desert" called Cypress, TX. Since then, Pho Ton has established itself as one of the staples of Northwest Houston foodie scene. I visit here quite often with my family. My office (HP Inc.) is also located nearby; my entire team is very fond of Pho Ton- we go there for business lunches at least once or twice a week. I also see many employees from other established companies in our area, including Foxconn, and the local hospitals. Many Asians like Pho Ton, which is a good sign. As evident from the restaurant's name, the restaurant offers various kinds of Pho (Vietnamese noodle soups), and many other Vietnamese (and some Thai) noodle & rice specialties. The restaurant is always very clean- no foul mop smells. The food preparation is close to gourmet level- the ingredients are fresh, the quality and presentation are consistent. The pricing has been quite fair, which accounts for a great overall value! Up until recently, Pho Ton was even using high quality ceramic Asian spoons for their soups. That was a great touch of sophistication, reflecting the owners' excellent attention to detail. Unfortunately, the restaurant was forced to switch to regular style soup spoons, made out or red-colored plastic. It is a pity but I understand why. People keep dropping and breaking these ceramic spoons, which grows into a mounting expense; operating a restaurant is a difficult, and very cost-sensitive business! Ken and Nicky Ton are the restaurant's proprietors and young entrepreneurs. They are both quite friendly to their customers, personable, pleasant- and I admire how they work tirelessly every day. The servers are efficient and attentive. With all of the above in mind, I feel quite comfortable giving Pho Ton 5 full stars. Pho is a comfort food for me and I often crave it. Hubby mostly wanted to try this place because he is a science geek and liked the name. We both ended up quite happy. We have gotten chicken pho to go from here 3-4 times now and it is great! Plenty of meat, noodles, basil, bean sprouts-all separated for you to put together yourself on bowls they provide. The broth is good and the chicken is good quality. I would like them to have more jalapenos and we don't use their packaged sauces since we have ours at home. I really want to try the dine in and maybe even get the vermicelli next time...although it is hard to tear me away from the pho. Definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

I came here around 2:00pm, probably after lunch time, so it's quite empty. We got water and food right away. I ordered the mini egg rolls. They were so cute, and yummy, comparing to the regular version, they were crispier, and already made in bite side. My boyfriend got fried rice with Chinese sausage. They only offer one size of PHO and I would classify it as medium. Also its $8 which is what places usually charge for large. I know....what the heck is a buck here and a buck there....but its the principle of the matter!!!!! Spoke to waiter told him that I didnt like it and asked if I could please return it. He said he could not refund because it was already made so I could take it or leave it. This is my favorite pho spot. So get that. I also got those mini egg rolls that I don't remember the name of they were delicious but the sauce they came with was funky... literally. I really want to like this place...but I CANNOT stand cilantro. It tastes like soap to me. We ordered from them online and put NO cilantro for my order, and they still put it in my food. It's like someone forgot and thought that I wouldn't notice a little bit. So my food basically tasted like soap. I understand a mixup..but my husband asked explicitly before picking up if my order did not have cilantro. They had a chance to fix the order but did not. I won't be ordering from this place again. Tried this place today after passing by it so many times. Overall it was okay. They don't have many vegetarian options or vegetable broth, I ended up ordering veggie pho and substituted the beef broth for chicken broth. The pho was good, but I wish that it had come with tofu as well, if you're looking for tofu and veggie pho you might be able to ask them to add tofu in for you. The servers didn't really come by often, only to take our order and to give us the check, which I didn't mind too much. On the downside, about halfway through my meal the people seated next to me had gotten up to leave and I thought they had left their phone on the table. I grabbed it and ran outside to give it to them before they could drive off only for them to tell me that that's the restaurant's cell phone that they use when customers pay with card. A server opened the door for me to come back in and held out his hand so I could give him the phone, which rubbed me the wrong way because at no point in time nobody from the staff told me that that phone belonged to them, even though they saw everything happen. read more

Terrible customer service by the gentleman who is always at the front. I made the mistake by ordering the spring instead of the fried roll. When he came to bring us the roll, I told him I order the wrong roll can we please substitute it. He responded, unfortunately I already brought it out, there's nothing I can't do about it. We have been a fan of the Pho Ton Family since the opening of Pho Ton 3 on Eldridge. We know the owner there personally and consider him to be the zenith of customer service and his food to be the best Pho in NW Houston. The version of Pho Ton on Louetta is nothing like the one on Eldridge. The service there is not only indifferent, its outright rude, masking contempt and disdain with smiles and faux politeness. They make you pay for food that is prepared badly and can't be eaten, claim it's not their fault if you dislike their food or service, and laugh at you when you ask for anything they don't comprehend, instead of trying to understand. Overall, we strongly advise anyone looking for a good Pho experience to stay away from this restaurant, and instead make the journey to Eldridge and visit Pho Ton 3. You won't be sorry! read more

If you want flavorful food in large portions, friendly and attentive staff in a clean and casual environment for not a ton of money to feed the family- then stop by during NORMAL business hours- you won't be disappointed- stopping into ANY restaurant 15 min til closing while being obnoxious and demanding is NOT the way to be a good human.
