Speed of lightning service!!! No matter how many customers walked in they were all acknowledged and helped in a timely manner. Spring rolls were fresh, Pho was hot and delicious!!! Great spot for pho. Soup is always hot and tasty hits the spot every time . We always order the chicken pho. The vegetables are fresh and crisp not stale. The broth just delicious. We've been going since it opened and it has not disappointed. We have ordered fried rice and it's also very good. I would recommend this place . Food is the reason we come we have our order and that's all we ever get, and we are happy with it. Service not so much. Also be aware if you show up at 7 you will be told after you get your food that they close at 815 even though there sign says 830. Which is is fine caise and hour is plenty it's just the whole after we order part that makes it feel shady. This only happens with the old lady on Sunday. so food is great service is bad. Also bring your own water if you are a heavy drinker because once you have your food good luck getting anymore water. ambiance is a bit old. read more

Solid find. Food is tasty, the pho's including the beef and vegetable were on point. Broth and soup items were separated into 2 bowls that you eat eat directly from. A plus since taking out is the norm and having other bowls may not be available. Shrimp rolls were fresh and hearty. The Vietnamese ice coffee was a a full cup size and was just the right mix of ice and coffee. Overall, a popular place worth the visit. read more

The resto was not busy. I ordered some soup and appetizer. My impression to this place was that the Waiter was very rude or have ill-manners. I made a mistake of inadvertently taking the receipt. I though it was my copy. He ran after me towards my car. I signed the receipt but his facial expression and slamming the counter were unacceptable. It is very difficult to give 1 star. It should be zero star.i will not come back. I did not even remember how the food tasted. Everything was bad. read more

I chose #7 ($8.99) which had rare sliced steak and tendon, sliced onions, and chopped green onions.They also had the usual side of bean sprouts, lime wedge, jalapenos, and thai basil. The first time I came in when they first opened, they gave a small plate of hoisin and sriracha sauce for your soup but they have bottles on the tables now. The bowl is a good size for the price and the food tastes great. It's not too salty or heavy, very clear broth. The place is clean and quiet with several tvs playing in the room. The staff is nice. I usually go in to eat but today I got take out and this is the first Pho place that actually comes with a bowl so you get a bowl with the noodles, cilantro, onions and a large foam container that has the broth. It's very convenient unlike other places the noodles come in a bag or a square foam container. Overall this place is really good with decent prices. read more

My go to spot for pho, char boiled pork chops & eggs rolls, both fried and spring rolls. Lots of space, clean restrooms and speedy service. Pho- veggie, chicken and their flank & well done steak, brisket. Soup broth is tasty and they serve a good amount of protein and veggies. Priced well. Fried egg rolls are served with lettuce & fish sauce. You wrap and dip. Charboiled pork chops & rice are a favorite. Good entree to order for the kiddos if they are picky. They are tender, a little bit sweet & make my mouth water. They have little food scissors they give you so you can cut the porkchops up for your little one! Very handy Food comes out very quickly , especially the pho. The servers are always happy to serve you and are great at accommodating their guests. Again yelp reviews have betrayed me. Stopped by still on my quest to find the best pho in the 909. I've never tried this place and was exited. Pho was so bland! I get there and the 2 only employees serving the food were eating so I felt like we were interrupting them as they got up to seat us. The floor was disgusting. I saw pieces of egg role and could tell they had not swept all day. As I sat there eating my bland soup, I'm just watching the employee eating and sucking/licking her fingers. Then just get up and serves another table. Pho had me thirsty so I could tell it was packed with SMG. This place is gross. Pho Trans is not recommended unless you do not know much about Vietnamese food.. The sauces here are tasteless, the veggies are old, and the portions are small.. Service here sucks and is super slow and lacking. The only thing good here is the parking. It is abundant and in a large lot. read more

Worst Vietnamese food ever. Tried basically everything on their menu. It all sucks. Their banh mi isn't even made the way traditional banh mi is made. There's no cucumber, no cilantro, no pickled daikon, no Mayo or soy sauce. Just some lettuce and their grilled meats. Their fried rice is bland. Ugh jus the worst Vietnamese food. I really tried to like this place. We've ordered maybe like over 30x from here already too. Their pho also is trash. When I called to express my concerns she said, "try some place else" So over this place. read more

Beautifully decorated restaurant that is spacious and modern, but I have never seen more than 2 tables dining here at once... Well the good thing for me is that there is never a wait... I always get the vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls. As you can see from my picture I also just order to go. Pork is tender and charred well, but marinate flavor is on the lighter side. Egg rolls are crispy and deep fried. If you are looking for something on the lighter side, this place is right for you. They give you a ton of noodles but light handed on the meat. On the pricier side, but I have no regrets for the convenience. I always give them a call and they are usually ready within 5 minutes. I get to pick up my food and get back on my couch even before commercial break ends. read more

Ok came three times because first was a turn off bad service. Kids on cells whole time. Came back. Not on cells but good luck getting a refill or being asked if you need anything. Food was decent why I gave three stars. I would give four if i saw smiles or even a hi or thanks. read more

I ordered the beef pho and they sent me it with what I thought was chicken. I didn't eat it because the meat smelled odd and when I called they told me it was pork. Nowhere in the description did they say there was pork in it and I'm very angry as I'm Muslim and now I have to throw away a perfectly good bowl of soup. When I asked for a refund they refused. I will never ever be eating here again. Poor quality customer service and very disrespectful. read more

I recently moved to Chino and was excited to try Pho Trans since it's conveniently located just three blocks from my place. However, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I felt compelled to share it. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome and profiled. The older Asian lady at the counter gave me a rude look and immediately insisted I order to-go, despite the restaurant being nearly empty with only two tables occupied. It was just 11 A.M., so I was confused and asked if I could dine in. She bluntly said it was "to-go only" without any explanation. I had to ask for a menu, as she didn't offer one, and she kept repeating "to-go only." When I asked about a few menu items, her responses were curt--simple "yes" or "no" answers with no warmth or helpfulness. After placing my order, it was ready quickly, but instead of handing it to me at the counter, she walked past me to place it on a table near the door, which felt unnecessarily dismissive. The entire interaction felt rushed, like they couldn't wait to get me out of there. As for the food, the large pho combo was underwhelming--mostly noodles with very little protein, not the quality I expected based on some of the Yelp reviews I'd read. Honestly, the food was overshadowed by the terrible service and the feeling of being profiled. I genuinely felt unwelcome and wasn't even given the chance to dine in. As I began placing my order, she cut me off to ask "for here or takeout," then suddenly changed it to "actually, you can only do takeout." This was confusing and frustrating, especially since the other customer was clearly still being served for dine-in. I went to the register to place and pay for my order, and I asked her why the same rule didn't apply to the man behind us. She said he was dining in. That didn't make sense, considering we arrived first. The situation turned into her arguing with me claiming she didn't see us earlier and even disputing who brought us water. On top of everything, I was left feeling severely embarrassed in front of other customers, especially with my child there to witness it. No parent should have to experience that kind of treatment while simply trying to have a meal. By 9 PM, the man who came after us was already being served his food while we were denied the same service. This experience felt not only disrespectful but also discriminatory. It's disappointing because I've tried to support this place multiple times, but the consistent poor treatment and lack of professionalism make it impossible to return. I won't be coming back.

Usually, Crying Tiger is marinated flank steak thinly sliced with a spicy sauce on the side. That's not what I got. The meat I got was Steak cut into cubes. It looked and tasted like the cuts of meat you buy at the grocery store to make stew. The sauce on the side was not right either. While the meat tasted alright for being stew meat, the dish was simply not what I was expecting. Overall, the food was visually unappealing and didn't taste right or was sub-par. It was clear that whoever was cooking the food didn't know how to make restaurant quality Thai food. I felt like I was eating out of the back of someone's house who didn't know how to cook good or didn't have the right ingredients or just didn't care. My recommendation is to avoid this place. I've been to a few Thai restaurants in Chino Hills, and this has been the worst so far. I still have a few left to try.
