I went here once and the food was very good. I dined in and ordered the chicken curry, which is much like a stew. I liked it so much that I went back the next day and ordered the same dish, but for "to go" this time. Much to my disappointment, as I opened up the chicken curry, there were not one but two dead flies in the curry. I called back and the person that answered the phone was very nice about the whole situation, apologized and offered credit. It looks like a dump from the outside, but step in for a surprise! You enter into a makeshift garden (sorry El Paso, the grass is fake) with a pond-waterfall combination stocked with tons of coy and turtles. We liked it so much, we ate outside. It was hot, so the waitress set up a portable cooler for us. Then came the food. Perfect shrimp spring rolls, I had delicious shrimp Pho and my wife was very pleased with her crispy beef noodles. The waitress was timely and unintrusive. The bubble tea took some time, but can't complain. Overall, best Vietnamese I've had in the city so far. Will be coming back. read more

Delicious! I had the spring rolls which they substituted with tofu and the bean sprout stir fry. I couldn't believe they had lumpia and halo halo on the menu. I didn't get a chance to try it but will definitely make a trip back to try it. read more

Have been here several times and the food is great. The only issue is that they don't always have fresh basil for the pho. I hate that I have to ask if it's available before I place my order because pho does not taste the same with out basil. The egg rolls are awesome we had the sample tray. This place is one of my personal favorites. I recently moved from Louisiana where there was a plethora of Vietnamese restaurants and was afraid El Paso would be lacking, but then I found Pho Tres Bien. The regular size is huge, I can't usually finish it. The seafood pho is my favorite, the vermicelli is a close second. read more

My husband and I went to the Westside Pho Tre Bien and ordered the Vietnamese crepe and two bowls of Pho. After a very long time, the crepe came out but no Pho. We finished the crepe and still no Pho and we no longer had any water in our glasses. We waited and waited and finally decided to cut our loses and ask for the bill for the crepe. We explained that we had waited way too long for the meal and were ready to leave. The waitress brought the bill but never apologized. Shouldn't the Pho be made beforehand so that when people order it, they get it quickly?! At least that's how it worked in Vietnam when I went traveled there a year ago! Will not be back. read more

I am traveling cross country on the 10W, and stopped for dinner at Pho Tre Bien tonight. The restaurant was easily accessible from the highway, which was a huge plus. I'm a vegetarian, and there were ample choices on the menu for me (a rare occasion). I also appreciated that the vegetarian items on the menu are clearly demarcated. I started with an order of veggie spring rolls that were standard, but delicious. For dinner, I had the veggie noodle soup. The broth was flavorful, the vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly, and the accompaniments (cilantro, jalepeno, lime and bean sprouts) were plentiful and fresh. The restaurant also serves a variety of unique drinks, that all come with the option of adding bobas. Most of the drinks are made with a drink powder, which I don't particularly care for; however, our excellent server made me a fresh lychee smoothie with boba that was out of this world. Pho Tre Bien definitely lives up to it's name, and I would highly recommend it to locals and travelers alike! read more

I hate writing this review. I have been eating at Pho Tre Bien since it was on Viscount years ago and I must say that within the past 9 months they have really gone downhill and I'm not sure why. It started last summer when dishes were burnt, especially the crepes and egg rolls. I mean that at least one side of the egg rolls and crepes were actually black. Today I went there at 4 in the afternoon and: They did not have the wine I usually got (nothing fancy...Cabernet) the pho was lukewarm and the egg rolls were Ok but in general it was not a pleasant experience. This is too bad because it was one of the better restaurants in El Paso in terms of not just the meal but the service and atmosphere. From what I'm reading here it must be hit or miss judging by all the recent comments and it used to be consistently excellent.. I used to absolutely love this place and always looked forward to eating there late on Sunday afternoons. For awhile I thought it was a temporary phase the restaurant was going through. Hopefully, some day it will come back. There are better places in town now for pho and Vietnamese cuisine.. read more

Bad place all around. As a restaurant, how do you run out of coke? When the server brought our drinks out, this guy sets our drinks out and walks away. I ended up passing out the drinks to everyone at our table.So, when our food comes out, the food is not even right. But is irritated because we told him no one ordered it. This is a very late review but I'm originally from Seattle and came to El Paso for work. Been here since and remember looking through Maps and saw that there was actually a pho shop in El Paso. I was super shocked but also relieved because I really enjoy it. Location is right off the freeway which is low key kind of sketchy cause you're practically hauling a** and have to slow way down to make the turn. The food is very good. I've been to the other pho restaurants in the area and this one is by far the best one. I couldn't be anymore clear. If you're from the PNW, it's safer to just eat at this pho restaurant. Especially if you're favorite Vietnamese dish is pho. Don't disappoint yourself by trying the food here and going anywhere else. The food is fresh and the appetizers are always really good. I like the spring rolls, they're always a treat to eat. But the beef pho with tendon and tripe really hits. They also serve boba tea which is also very nice. Overall I'm glad I found the location. I used to liked them alot.. Out of all pho places i've been here in El Paso they're the top notch.. My only concern is nowadays they're not putting enough meat and noodles. First they cut back the noodles. Small bowl used to be enough coz they put enough noodles and meat. Now you will feel the need to order the large so you get the meat and noodles in a good amount.. Even then i still find it not worth the large size coz they just gonna use the large bowl put more broth and still put the prep size for small/large same amount! We came to celebrate my b-day. We ordered Pho. Food was OK. I am accustomed that when I tell the waiter that today is my b-day (and I have the id to prove this), some kind of small dessert is presented (at least it was my experience in most places on Westside) or they sing a b-day song. Nothing like this happened. I have many friends in Houston who like Vietnamese food. They told me that in Houston, in Vietnamese restaurants, on the day of b-day they are usually offered free piece of desert. read more

The food is as authentic as can be. It's a really lovely place with a koi pond and waterfall.. Service is good too.

The food is really good. I love getting the rare steak pho, it has a delicious taste of lemongrass perfect for the wether. The service is ok last time I went the waitress never showed up and we were there for about two hours and she probably came about four times, but apart from that service is always good. The place is cool, they have a pond with lots of fish and it gives a very cool feel to it, the inside is very chill if you want to go after work for some drinks.
