This is my second time being here, 1st was in December 2019, the service was good and the waitress was attentive. This time of course give the pandemic we are in things have changed slightly. You still receive great food, and excellent service, but of course orders are only to go, you can call ahead to order or come to the restaurant, when you arrive to order there is a table outside with the menu taped to it along with a pump bottle of sanitizer and about 7 pens, the server taking your order is very attentive and is suited with gloves and a mask, we order - #3 Vietnamese Crispy Roll, #1 Vietnamese Spring Rolls, 2 #13 Rare Steak & Well some Brisket, 1 w/ double meat 1 w/ added extra tendon, extra hoisin and sriracha.... they offer instructions on how to prepare the pho at home (run warm water under noodles, add to bowl along with meat, pour broth over and enjoy), I love my pho temperature HOT, so I put my broth on the stove and waited for it to boil, while I waited I had my noodles, meat and veg in a bowl, I have a pretty big bowl specifically for pho, so I didn't run warm water over my noodles first, I poured the broth directly over my noodles, this worked fine, I just let them sit a little to loosen up. I took a star away because veggie broth in the Pho isn't actually veggie, or at least they keep giving me a meat broth every time, even after calling to double check. The grease solidifies and I have to wipe it off of my lips bc it's so greasy. The spring rolls and the rice vermicelli are always delicious, and the Pho is good, but for dietary reasons, I cannot consume this veggie broth when it is not served as described . We had a family night at Pho Viet. I had the lemongrass chicken, my sister had a chicken noodle dish and my niece had the spicy pork and beef sausage Pho. Although my sister and niece thought the food was really good, having had Vietnamese food before I would rate it as just OK. The chicken tasted old to me as if it had been previously cooked and reheated. The flavor of the sauce however, was really good. My steamed veggies tasted fishy to me and since I am not a fish person I could not eat my veggies. I tasted my sisters noodle dish and I thought the flavor was good. I didn't try the Pho but my 13 year old niece RAVED about it and I noticed that many people were eating different types of Pho. So if you have had very good Asian food on the west coast or in NY it was just OK. But if you are new to Asian food I am guessing you will really enjoy it. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful however the person dropping the food clearly had the restaurant seating chart upside down. She was serving us food from people on the other side of the restaurant and simply dropped it and left quickly. That part of the vibe was a little weird. TERRIBLE SERVICE!! 2nd time here and I talked them up to my wife, only to be disappointed. They took our order without writing anything down and 15mins later they come back to tell me they forgot to put in my order. Another 10 mins later my wife's Pho came with onions when she ordered it without onions. Soups continuously lacks flavor compared to the 5 points location. Wait staff is unpleasant and rude, save for one or two people. Would not recommend unless you don't want to drive to 5 points. Staff member took the small table side plates from my 2 year old who was using them to count. This is absolutely disgusting! I've had my fair share of Vietnamese food. This is NO WHERE near good. I ordered PHO as did my mother. My sister got chicken and shrimp fried rice. My brother in law got chicken noodles and my 10 month old little boy got steamed veggies. The pho was putrid. Wasn't able to eat ANY of it. My sons veggies were tough and wasn't something that a baby growing teeth can eat (typically steamed veggies are soft enough for a child) the shrimp was over cooked. We didn't eat ANY of it and they still tried to charge us $80. I THINK TF NOT! They have a REFUND policy which means people don't like the food. DO NOT go here. It's so gross. And we were only able to reduce the bill to HALF even though we ate NOTHING bc it was so gross. Save your MONEY and save your STOMACHS! Ughhh!!!!! read more

So i regularly eat pho it was my last previous job. And the pho here is fucking nasty. Got the combonation pho, it was so oily i felt like i was eating a bowl of FAT. The spring rolls arent even spring rolls they look like lumpia so thin and small! You get it and youll be wondering why tf they serve that small ass shit. Try add more meat to it?! The waitress gave me a weird vibe and clearly doesnt know how to manage her time. Customers kept coming in and only get two servers. I get it thats how it is but usually your coworker helps while you get to eat and vice versa (they were both eating) overall i was disappointed and confused as why people think this places food is good i guess they dont know what they dont know. I ordered the pho steak flanks. It was ok. I've had better. Broth wasn't that flavorful and was a dark color. Good pho is known to have clear color. Veggie plate left much to be desired: some bean sprouts, strands of cilantro, 2 pieces of jalapeños and a piece of lemon. Where are the basils? Bf's lemongrass chicken with white rice was pretty good. Not great but good. He did enjoy it. What was upsetting to me is that I had brought a Starbucks coffee in and the young waitress told me that the owner forbids outside food or drink. I told her that I won't drink it but I just didn't want it to melt in the car under the sun, and that I would even order a drink from their restaurant. She still said no. I asked if they could put the drink in the fridge for me. "No, the owner doesn't allow that." So I had to go outside and leave my drink in the car to melt under the sun. OK just received my order from bite squad when I opened the container it looked as if 1/2 of my meal was missing. I tried this place last month because of the positive reviews sadly I got one good meal. I'm actually not surprised however Very very disappointed, but with the flow of this state nothing is NEVER CONSISTENT! And of course once again SC service FAILED!!!!! You would think spending $12 for a single meal it would be decent... the shaking beef was on point the first time around.. unfortunately it sucked this time it lacked sauce .. flavor umm so so.... now to mention the meal my daughter received.. it was the combo with veggies & yellow noodles.... words can't Express this HORROR! Dry.... Bland... mushy noodles OMG... just horrid overall. This is the worst place to get pho. I couldn't even eat my meal it was so terribly tasting. I ordered the veggie pho and it came out with beef broth, piled high onions, no tofu and the noodles were rock hard. The fresh spring rolls I got were not fresh and had shrimp and another kind of meat inside the roll?? Was it meat? Anyway, it fell apart in your hands. The restaurant is dirty and my feet stuck to the floor. There was food on the floor and a couple of tables hasn't been cleaned off. The tea tasted like they dumped perfume in the pot. I was somewhat pleased with my bowl of Phô. I've had phô many of times and I have to say what I have had in the past was much better. The broth was okay but not better than what I have had. The veggies were scarce. You only got bean sprouts, a couple sprigs of cilantro and a couple slices of jalapeños (thumbs down)... a very small amount. I was looking to have lots of veggies as I have always in the past when eating Phô. Matter of fact, at other Vietnamese restaurants they would give you a regular 8" plate full of veggies. This would give the added flavor to your bowl but because it was not much veggies, sadly it did not enhance my bowl of Phô enough. It was an okay place. I will try it again and see if I can ask for more veggies to get the great flavor I am seeking. read more
