First time here, and very pleased with the experience! Food: SO GOOD. To start off, I had the spring rolls. The dipping sauce was really good! For my meal, I had the vegetarian pho, which was exactly what I was craving. It comes with carrots, broccoli, tofu, and mushrooms - yum! Setting: It's kind of hidden towards the back end of the strip, but it's actually very roomy and had lots of seating inside. There are cute raised booths on the left side, which I would recommend for a date night. Service: Took a little while to get our orders in, but once the waitress took our orders, the food came in fast! They're also really good about refilling your water glass. Mmmmmm went here after skydiving and absolutely devoured all the food. My friend was really craving pho so we went here and sat inside on a rainy day. Inside is comfortable and relaxed. We had some egg roll appetizers which were soooo delicious. I'm craving them right now. I ordered the chicken dish and also loved it with the rice, which had a unique texture, making it more fun to eat. Wonderful pho place to eat, especially on a rainy day! Definitely a 10/10! This place is one of the best Vietnamese places in the Bay Area. The food is always served fresh and hot, the staff is always extremely kind and generous with bean sprouts and other garnish portions, the music is always chill but never too loud to drown out conversation, and the portions of the pho are huge. The staff never ever is rude to anyone, even with the stubbornest of customers. I have been there dozens of times and not a single time have they failed me to serve a perfect bowl of pho. The place doesn't look like much, but the food is so good it's worth it. The restaurants is in a parking lot next to a cute little harbor. Some of my family and I decided to go to Viet Pho for lunch one day after looking up restaurants close to the Dominican campus. What was closest was Pho Viet Harbor. This restaurant has good ratings so we decided to stop in. We ordered three pho noodle soups and fresh shrimp spring roles. All the food was delicious. The pho does come in a medium and large size, so you have to specify what size you want otherwise you will be given a large. Recommend as someone who is a longtime avid pho fan. read more

The pho was really good. We ordered the chicken wings for appetizer and my bf ordered a rice plate with the 2 pork chops. Overall the food was great. Service was a little slow but that's typical during a busy lunch hour. The restaurant was really clean and larger than typical pho restaurants, with a lot more seating. I'm just not a fan of their location. It's tucked away where parking and isn't always accessible and the entrance into this little area is a little dangerous considering it's next to a 2 way street with fast traffic. read more

It is so nice to have a good Vietnamese restaurant in Marin. It is sort of hidden off of the highway but worth seeking it out.

Ordered takeout last night. It was OK quality. Price is fair. The order was ready when I arrived. The staff was pleasant. The good: The crispy tofu with vermicelli was OK. We appreciate that it is available as vegan (not cooked with chicken broth). The Thai iced tea was good. The lychee shake was good. Room for improvement: The flavor of the BBQ pork with vermicelli was below average. The Nuoc Cham dipping sauce was off. The sweet and sour balance was not right. I do appreciate the chopped peanuts being added for takeout. The BBQ pork was stone cold. (I picked up my order at the time the staff said it would be ready.) But, maybe the kitchen has some staffing Covid-related challenges and can't time their dishes. For all of these dishes with vermicelli, the vegetables on the side are incomplete. Needs more than 1 tiny sprig of cilantro. Where are the fresh sliced jalapeños? Shredded green leaf lettuce, sliced carrots, and daikon (curiously not pickled) were the only toppings. I don't remember the dishes being this sparse, pre-Covid. Maybe they are experiencing supply challenges. Safety: The restaurant should tighten up its Covid protection a bit. A lovely find in tucked away in nondescript shopping center by the creek. Definite value for your dining bucks! Lots of menu items - the menu takes a while to peruse. Been there 6+ times and I just discovered the calamari dishes, which I definitely recommend. Still want to try the deep fried crab - maybe when I'm really hungry! However, there are not a ton of vegetarian options. But they do have a few tofu dishes and just veggie ones. Veggie Tip - they gladly make stir fried broccoli w/o the beef, and all veggie fried rice. It's ok. It isn't terrible but it isn't great either, and since there are few options in the area I can't slander it that much. So the inside is spacious from how it looks from the outside. Well spaced for the area. There are a few tables that are sectioned off as well so if you want less distraction from others (e.g. date, business, loner...? xD), or you have a small child and limiting their area to run this may be somewhat beneficial. The service wasn't good, the cleanliness wasn't good either. Came to find that the table was sticky upon sitting down so it was not wiped down very well after the last guests had sat there. There was a mixup of orders, servers did not know which dish was which when they came to the table (this is basic of any good service), and there was a lack of knowledge of who ordered what (also basic, but I don't expect it from places like this). Is this far outside of the expectation of an Asian restaurant? Honestly, if you eat in enough hole in the wall Asian restaurants this happens quite often so I can't really fault that much haha. Can't really condone it but out of necessity of already being there and laziness, I had to accept it all the same. The portions aren't crazy but they're okay for the price. I had the lemongrass curry tofu which was somewhat tasty to me. I feel like the sauce could've used a heavier dose of spices to make it more palatable. Bland is safe but it isn't really enjoyable either to be honest. Also, the lemongrass wasn't really noticeable aside from the occasional strand that was not removed from it making a few bites here and there difficult. Of what I saw from the rest at the table, a few rice dishes with beef, and one person that had ordered the pho. It was commented that the beef was tasty, although one person had mentioned that it was a tad bit dry. The vegetables that were served with the rice dishes were disappointing to say the least. Chopped lettuce and tomato. It's a rice dish, not a deconstructed sandwich. Ah well, I didn't order it thankfully. The pho looks decent from a distance, and they had the condiments to go along with it. I would've asked for more of the side vegetables to throw into there but I'm mostly vegetarian anyway so I love extra of that stuff. Bottom line: All in all, if I'm reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally craving it and I have no will to travel then I'd probably eat here again. I actually enjoy eating here since they first opened. It's hard to find a good Pho place mostly in Marin County. Whenever I come in usually order Pho combination. The prices aren't so bad for the size portion. Their dishes are rather small for the meat and rice but I like their vermicelli noodle dishes. Their chicken wings are also good ! I enjoy coming here during the winter time or when I'm sick and I need a bowl of pho to feel better! Great place for and if you have a hang over for your friends! Parking wasn't too hard to find since it's the location at the harbor I thought it was funny area. The staff are nice mostly since it's owned by a Vietnamese family. Went back for dinner while in town and the combo clay pot was a bit disappointing this time. Virtually no flavor and everything was a bit too dried out. The shrimp were tiny and unimpressive. Authentic and med grade food quality. This is definitely a mom and pop spot great for accommodating large parties as there is a pretty large dining room. The decor is outdated and causal, the service is very brief and to the point. We ordered the bun bo hue, clay pot fried rice and a very sweet basic papaya salad. All items were pretty tasty, definitely not the freshest of ingredients but it felt like comfort food. The texture of the combo clay pot rice was perfect, the bun bo hue was mediocre, broth was nice and crabby but the contents were boring and overlooked. The food is delicious, so worth the wait but order right away or you'll be waiting a long time. Not sure why the hoopla about this place. Today was my third time in three years. My past experiences were nothing to draw me back and today was the same. I first ordered the spicy chicken wings. You can put jalapeños on any plate and call it spicy but a chicken wing - on the bone - has to be eat by hand. The skin was crispy and I could taste S&P but there was nothing spicy about the wing itself. Next I ordered chicken pho w rice noodle and wonton. Not use to seeing Chinese wontons at a Vietnamese restaurant. Should have taken that as a sign. There was a nice amount of cilantro and bean sprouts and a lemon slice w a few jalapeño on the side. There was broccoli in the pho. That's a new one for me. The pho it self was severely lacking in flavor. We happened to be in San Rafael on a weekday and decided to come here for lunch. We had no problem finding a parking spot right in front and were seated immediately when we arrived around 12:30. The restaurant looked about three quarters full then. Now about the food we ordered: BBQ chicken vermicelli - nice portions of chicken, vegetables, and vermicelli Grilled pork chop with broken steamed rice - We weren't sure what they meant by "broken" steamed rice, but apparently it's a Vietnamese thing that's usually served with grilled pork. The soup that came with it was kind of bland. Considering the price of this, the size of the two pork chops and rice portion were all right. Singapore noodles with beef - It was rather spicy. We didn't expect it to come in a curry sauce and thought it'd be drier like the other Singapore noodles we've had elsewhere. It was still pretty good with a lot of flavor. Service was good and the food came pretty quick. A man refilled our water and a lady came by to ask if we were doing ok. There was a restroom malfunction but it was clean nonetheless. I still love Pho Viet! I came here today for lunch and got the thin sliced steak pho (large so that I could have some leftovers). That is my go-to order, usually along with some of the fried egg rolls. My boyfriend also gets pho, sometimes combination with meatball, as well as vermicelli chicken plates and chicken wings. This restaurant is always consistent with tasty food and efficient service. Vietnamese coffees and beers are served cold and with a smile. I think that they also have the best pho broth. Cheap but not the best Vietnamese I've had in the Bay Area. Found this place on Yelp because we got hungry driving home from hiking in Marin and needed some good grubs. Weather was just starting to get cold so I wanted some hot soup to warm me up. Location was a little weird and they are tucked way back in the rear of a small strip center in the middle of a bunch of auto dealerships. This place is pretty big with plenty of seating and friendly service. We started with fresh spring rolls with pork. They were your typical spring rolls and were tasty as a starter. I ordered the pho and added meatballs for an additional charge. My husband ordered a rice plate with grilled shrimp. The portion of soup to noodles for the pho was way off--way too much noodles for barely any soup. The soup had great flavor but that was it. The brisket was mostly fat and is the fattiest brisket I've ever had in a pho. Definitely unappetizing and makes you feel ripped off like "where's the meat?" I literally got 2 meatballs that they cut into 4 pieces. Again for the additional charge, the quantity was disappointing. Not the worst pho I've ever had but I wouldn't come back for it. As for my husband, his plate was really sad looking. The shrimp were severely over cooked so essentially tasted like little balls of rubber--unappetizing to say the least. Beef had no flavor and was disappointing as well. Plate came with a bowl of soup so there was plenty of food for a reasonable price but again, wouldn't come back for the rice plate either. All and all, a disappointing meal given the high ratings on Yelp. Maybe there just aren't that many great Vietnamese places in Marin so this is considered above average. I grew up in SoCal so my standards are probably much higher since there is a huge Vietnamese community down there and there is no shortage of cheap and fantastic Vietnamese food.
