    43. Boneless Chicken Rice Noodle Soup
    K B.

The food was not bad, just not what we were expecting. Ordered chicken pho and I've never seen it served with broccoli...so that was something different. Wasn't really mine or my friend's favorite. Pro: They were quick to sit us down and give us our orders Con: Felt a little rushed because they gave us the bill while we were still eating. Personally, we weren't enjoying the mix of broccoli in the pho

We have been here for many times but I have never written them a reviews because my son always has my phone The staffs here are nice and friendly. Last time we came they offered us out of the menu to try for their dessert. How nice they are to their clients Foods here are so yummy. They have lot of selections for Pho, dry noodles, salad, rice etc... Really happy for that. My fave is #35 Their egg rolls are so delicious!

#33 amazing would come here again and again and again. Not a lot of Vietnamese food in Marin. This hidden spot is awesome

We have been patronizing Pho Viet for many years. Their food has been reliable and consistent. Shaking beef still is tender, and the meat content generous. We always get the baked mussels with scallions and peanuts and this dish never disappoints. Pho was outstanding. And the garlic noodle with shrimps was really garlicky and delicious. Service was warm and friendly.

Came here in college and this place is still really good after all these years. we tried the chicken wings which were tasty, not sure if it's a must try but worth a try. Pho portion def worth for the price point. The Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai iced tea are still as good as I remembered!

Stopped by for lunch on a weekday and there were a good amount of people inside. There is a large parking lot that is shared but I don't see an issue getting a spot. We got some egg rolls for appetizers and those came out hot and crispy. The pho was good but it was lacking a bit of the meat. I only got a few pieces of beef and some tripe. For $1 more, you can upgrade to a large. It's not super big since I was able to finish it. The broth was also very flavorful. One of the better pho restaurants in Marin and I would definitely come back again and try other items on their menu!

Came to Pho Viet on a rainy Sunday afternoon with my partner. It was empty until two different groups arrived during our time there. They have plenty of available seating! We both ordered some pho and also some spring rolls. I did not like the spring rolls at all. I'm typically a huge fan but something didn't sit well with me. We also ordered a thai milk tea and mango smoothie and they were both delicious! The pho was good but not the best. Would I go back? Only for the drinks

An older looking family run small business. Service was fast, friendly and warm. Our order had a missing item, but we were in a hurry so we just cancelled the one item (a hot coffee). Internet was down though today, so we couldn't pay by card and was forced to pay by cash. Not sure if it's a common occurrence. They have a fairly large dining room and could seat quite a lot of people. We tried the fresh rolls (nice and crispy lettuce but shrimps were a little small), Bun Bo Hue (not quite the traditional soup we're used to but the noodles were good and it hit the spot) and #7 Special Combo Pho Noodles (good portion!). We were happy to find comforting Asian food for the rainy day out.

Pretty good vietnamese spot next to all the car dealerships. Gets quite busy during lunch as its probably the only noodle spot around san rafael that's not Thai. Beef noodle soup #6 was pretty tasty and good portion at $15. Good soup but could have been hotter so I could further heat up my beef on the side. Meatball was tasty, many pieces of cut up beef meatball. The fried spring roll insides were good, but somehow felt a little different regarding the wrapper, which didn't make it feel like a normal imperial roll, it wasn't especially oily which was nice, but I think could be improved with better crunch

I loved the spice Pho I ordered. My friend ordered number 14 and from previous reviews I'd agree. There was more meat in the large size versus small. Please please do not waste your money on the fresh spring rolls. I've never been so disappointed. From the photo you can tell all there was in the roll was noddle, lettuce and shrimp. Where is the carrot, cabbage, cilantro or mint? And the peanut sauce was sub par. I'd go again for the pho tho and the owners provided great service.

There's not a lot of options for pho in Marin but this place is always a good option. Been here a couple of times now and their pho is perfect for a gloomy day. I ordered the spring roll with bbq pork and they were delish, I would def order these again. They taste so different from the shrimp ones and are a good alternative if those aren't your fave. I like their seafood pho, but the chicken and broccoli in it always kind of throw me off. The servers are always on top of everything and checking in with you. Lots of people come here with their families so at times it can get really busy.

There is street parking available and seating was quick, although we arrived shortly after 5 pm. My husband had fried spring rolls, fried chicken, lemon aid, and the seafood hot pot with rice. I had the fresh rolls with shrimp. Both of us took home lots of leftovers. The fried chicken was excellent and not greasy. The spices were delightful and not overwhelming. It was perfectly crispy. The spring rolls were also very good and crispy with a nice mix of flavors. The real star was the seafood hot pot! So many great pieces of shrimp, seafood, mushrooms, peppers, bok choy, onion, and the best light broth. I kept sneaking my fork into my husband's bowl for more and I'm usually not a big fan. My fresh rolls were both generous and excellent. I appreciated the delicate balance between the romaine and mint with the fresh vermicelli. The shrimp were thinly sliced and fresh. We will be making this place a regular on our rotation of favorites.

Their bánh mì options are legit and absolutely worth ordering. They also have a killer pho lineup with all the classics--barbecue beef, chicken, pork, and more. The broth is flavorful and comforting, and the portions are generous. It's the kind of pho that hits the spot every time. Don't miss the fresh shrimp rolls--light, refreshing, and super tasty. Perfect balance to the richer dishes. Another standout detail: they serve coconut juice straight from an actual cut coconut, which feels both fresh and fun and pairs perfectly with the food. They offer both dine-in and to-go, which makes it easy whether you're sitting down for a meal or grabbing something quick. Between the bánh mì, the pho, the fresh rolls, and the coconut drink, Saigon Village delivers on flavor and variety. A solid go-to spot for Vietnamese comfort food.

I was served quite an amazing bowl of pho today…read more I wanted to try the pho at Golden Era for a while now, but never made it there until today due to various reasons. Since I had to get my watch fixed across the street from the restaurant at Gold Rush Jewelry today, I had decided to do my foodie thing and see if I have been missing out. My review here is strictly related to the pho that I had today. As long as the restaurant location was clean (and it certainly was), the food makes no difference to me whether I was served at the restaurant or the WH with the whole place painted in gold. Also I do make my own pho broth (aka liquid gold) at home, so I am all about searching for a different impressive interpretation. Back to the food, I took a picture of my bowl of pho as soon as it was served at my table, and I immediately tasted the soup before anything else was added to it. The soup was perfectly balanced both spices and seasoning wise and the temperature was just right. Then I added basil, bean sprouts, and a squeeze of lemon juice to my pho, as nothing else was needed to alter or masking the original taste of the slowly simmered broth. There was no need to insult the broth (or the broth chef) by adding hoisin sauce and fake stuff to it. I truly enjoy the style of the beef served. The beef pieces are very tender, not like the rare beef slices that most Vietnamese restaurants offer. Also I cannot say enough good things about the ribs that came with my pho order. Overall it was a very satisfying bowl of pho to me. There are many Vietnamese restaurants out there with their own interpretations of pho broth in terms if the use if spices, seasonings, and bone to water ratios in make the all day all night long slow simmering broth. Also, northern style and southern style pho are quite different from each other by taste and composition. There is nothing wrong with most of these other Vietnamese restaurants and their own interpretations , however I found the pho that I had today at Golden Era very agreeable with what I am looking for in terms of "balance". Some spices might smell great if a lot of it is used, but could create a noticeable unpleasant taste and even an irritation reaction to the throat. This is why I believe Golden Era is a winner with the pho game. I have a photo of a fully finished bowl to proof it. I will definitely return to Golden Era again. Will see if their quality control is consistent enough to build a regular customer base. Other factors to consider: they do have a clean and tidy looking kitchen, but from the front end of the restaurant to the kitchen is about 30 plus steps; the restaurant was operated by a grandma and grandpa only when I was there at 11:30 am, they were very nice and doing the best that they could... please be kind to these folks.

We had shrimp fried rice, beef rib pho and short ribs. Favor was great! Their sauce was amazing.read more

I came around 5:50PM on a Sunday night and had to wait about 10 minutes, but by the time I left around 6:30PM, the line was out the door and then some. Definitely get here early, and parking shouldn't be too hard with a lot nearby and free street parking. This spot is pretty casual, as in you order at the counter before grabbing a number and sitting at a table. As opposed to a food hall, you get directed where you sit before ordering, and sometimes end up sharing a table with another party, especially in my case when you have a party of 2. Service was attentive and food came out at a decent pace, though they did not come all together. I ordered a large Bistec Sandwich and a Pasteles Special. The Bistec sandwich is a must order, and I recommend ordering the sandwich over the plate due to how fragrant the bread was. Pictures might not look like much, but the bread was sooo good and crispy, and they give a good balance of meat, avocado and veggies. It can be a little heavy, but a large sandwich was perfect for my wife and I to share along with another plate. The Pastales was alright - the rice is pretty unique if you're looking for new flavors, but the pork was a little stinky and dry. The hot sauce on the table is really good and managed to mitigate that, and it's not as spicy as you'd think given the color and smell. The banana leaf in the tamale made it really fragrant with a unique taste, and the lemon sauce on the salad balanced the entire plate out. For a party of 2, I recommend ordering the Bistec Sandwich in large size (since I believe the regular price only gives you half) and another plate. I also recommend using the toast tab (online order) to look at the menu over their actual menu; the UI of it makes it hard to choose what to order and the toast menu has pictures next to the menu item. Given that Marin food options can be quite expensive or fancy, this place is the perfect place to go for a unique food spot, especially if you're coming from SF.
