We drove by after craving some pho for like 3 months now, was gonna go to texas roadhouse before but i'm glad i didn't. When i tell y'all the is absolutely the best pho i've had in forever, it's an understatement. I got the Pho Dac Biet and omg it was amazing. The broth was light and tasty so you could keep drinking and keep drinking and not get full, the meat was tasty and definitely quality, the noodles were perfectly cooked how rice noodles should be, the veggies were a great addition to it just wished they'd put more. I also got the Bahn Mi and it was even better. The french baguette was toasted to perfection and warm, the filling, which was BBQ pork was flavorful and complemented everything that it was filled with; which included daikon, cilantro, cucumber and more. The fillings didn't overpower each other and honestly complemented each other perfectly. The staff was very nice and they make sure you're feed. 10/10 will come again and i recommend many more to come here as well. Keep it up guys ! read more

Honestly this is the best pho place in North County, I got the Bahnmi sandwich, and I wanted a bowl of soup and the waitress was kind enough to tell me that I could get a child size soup and one egg roll and one spring roll to try a little bit of everything the total came out to under $22, I'm stuffed! The food is really fresh and good and the place was very calm and clean. I'll definitely be returning thank you. Edited to say that the person complaining that they give their condiments in packets, it's because of covid! It's not because they're stingy! We were coming back from San Diego and wanted to find a good Vietnamese restaurant. This place had high Yelp reviews (probably fake and incentivized) however, The Vietnamese food here is a rather white-washed and Americanized to the caucasian demographics in the area. Most of these folks do not know what authentic Vietnamese food is suppose to taste like. I'm an avid gourmand and connoisseur. Our group ordered specifically 4 dishes( vermicelli with eggroll and grilled pork, Bun Bo (Beef) Hue, Spring roll with sliced pork and Bun Rieu. 3 of the dishes were rather common as control to see if they could even get these correctly. 1 "Bun Rieu" a little less common unless you're in Little Saigon- The epicenter great Vietnamese food. As it turns out, to my disappointment, the food was mediocre and missing a lot of key ingredients that was signature to the cuisine. Let me get into the specifics: The Vermicelli with egg rolls and grilled pork. The pork in this dish was pan fried and not grilled. Obviously they did this to cut corners and to save time and money. The vermicelli was premade and the ends of the noodles were hard and stale from sitting around. Sesame seeds were gratuitously added and it was completely superfluous to the dish. Bun Bo (beef) Hue was really disappointing. They totally added a bunch of unnecessary fillers instead of the key ingredients that was unique to the dish. Instead of using pork knuckles and cured pork blood, they used sliced beef taken from their Pho dish. An obvious cost and timesaver for the restaurant. The Bun Reiu was the worse. All the key ingredients were missing. Authentic Bun Reiu is suppose to have escargot with ample amounts of blue crabs which are then pounded in a large mortar/pestle. The crab meat is separated from the crushed body. The body of the crushed crab is then put into a fine mesh cloth or sieve and water is then strained through, forming the base of the broth. The broth at this place was obviously out of can and tasted artificial. The spring roll was below average, the rice paper is tough and not supple as it should be. This is a rather easy dish and they should not have screwed up on it. This place was a huge disappointment. They shouldn't offer a plethora of varied cuisines if most are cooked incorrectly with missing key ingredients. I definitely would not come back to this restaurant. read more

Super disappointed in my meal there yesterday, very sad! They used to be a real authentic, home made place but I think they changed hands and are trying to be trendy. They prices are way up and the food quality is way down. Broth was bland and lukewarm, supposedly fresh noodles were alternately chewy and hard. The last few times I've been to this establishment I've been noticing all the levels of food gone down even more so the quality you don't spend $20 on chicken pho and don't even get chopsticks now I've been coming here for too long to not say this I am very disappointed to see a restaurant charge people a premium price and they give them for half of what they paid for. Love this place. Been going to the Encinitas one for years but recently moved to Oceanside. Make sure u order the FRESH noodles when you get the pho. It's a whole new experience. They cook their food fresh and also know how to cook vegetables. Everything is still al dente. No soggy veggies here. We are veganand order the same thing every time. This is my favorite casual restaurant. The food is fresh always. They make the broth daily from vegetables. I always get veggie pho and spring rolls or egg rolls and tea. They bring the steaming hot pho w a side plate of bean sprouts, basil, jalapeno slices, and a cut lime...then I add that to my pho. Once I ordered pho to-go and I was impressed they put the broth into a separate container from the veggies (and toppings) so the veggies would remain crisp! The staff is always friendly. I never have felt like an imposition even when I come in when they are sitting down after a rush. If you come over lunch or dinner be prepared to wait. A line at 5pm is common. read more
