I recently moved to the area and I was delighted to find a Pho restaurant nearby my home. I took a friend with me to try it out. We were both delighted with our food. She got the vegetarian Pho, while I got the beef brisket/rare meat Pho. The portions are large. The food was so good. We were both very impressed. I have to say, the food here is amazing. Very solid Vietnamese. Maybe I'm even being unfair and it deserves 5 stars, because it's my first Vietnamese restaurant in Southern California so I don't have a local point of view yet. Obviously, Pho So Good. And the BBQ pork was great too. Spring rolls, traditional chicken, excellent. And despite some inconsistent reviews here on service, our service was PHENOMENAL! I was there to introduce my teen daughter to the food and was so glad that the service was top notch too. Note: I wanted a variety of things but was intimidated by the 'regular' size of the Pho. I'm from San Gabriel area visiting the SD area. When I first walked into the restaurant, I thought there was a bit of a weird smell. We got seated asked for water, never came. Our waiter finally came to ask asked for drinks. Then we ordered. We got the appetizer with two spring rolls and two egg rolls. I ate the spring roll and thought the rice paper was too soggy and the veggies inside were old and shriveled. My boyfriend thought the egg rolls were pretty good. I also ordered pho tai and my boyfriend got the tai and well done. Overall the pho was pretty good. One thing I like to add is the pho took a really long time. Compared to San Gabriel area pho comes out right after you order. We had to wait at least fifteen minutes. BUT one think I really liked about this place was they brought my appetizer before my meal!! I want to stay here pho-ever ! Recommended by family friends it's a favorite in our house. My kids love the chicken noodle soup ( pho) while my hubby likes thinly sliced steak. They have quality meats. As a vegan, I can join my family out which is hard for me to find. They take accommodations. Yes, you can change up the soup to your liking so tell them as they LOVE to make customers happy! so I can eat a delish homemade vegetarian broth with tons of veggies and hold the noodle. Great on a cold day! Thank you for being our go to steamy hot bowl of yum . They have spring rolls and some kinds of garlic chicken wings that my family tried by chance and fell head of heels in love with on the spot. Did I say amazing customer service!?! Um, so I drove here from Fallbrook because my regular place had strangely shut down and I figured I'm already in Vista so lets see what other Pho places there are. So, I cam across this place. The service, great. The place it self was nice, not fancy but clean and modern looking. Not bad for a pho place... now, the pho... eh, it was just okay. I'm a little disappointed that I can't find a good pho place in north county. Having moved here from LA county, and trying to find something comparable to Golden Deli has been difficult. I don't think I'd come back here, not because of the food- if I were closer and really craving pho, this place is acceptable, but I live in fallbrook and it's just not worth the drive. read more

This place is amazing. They use filet mignon as their steak for their soup and they cook their broth for 14 hours. you can definitely taste the difference. The meat is soooo buttery and tender. Their service is really great too. The guys that are here are always so friendly and helpful. They knew I needed hot tea bc I was sick before I even said anything. I'm so sad were moving far away from here because it is my favorite restaurant to come too. I will definitely still come here even though I live an hour away. Pretty decent pho place. 1 star for the punny name alone. Was surprised with how crowded it got during lunch on a weekday though. The staff is young, remembers the usuals, helpful, and are pretty friendly. They have a pretty decent lunch special, 7.50$ for pho, egg rolls ( or spring rolls), and a drink. In all fairness, I've only had one thing on the menu. I always order the spring rolls with steamed tofu and a side of peanut sauce. It's delicious. The perfect amount of ingredients so that they're filling and taste so fresh and healthy. The cost is budget-friendly. Came here during Jury duty for convenience. Not much to say except they have good lunch specials. I really liked their springs rolls but was disappointed in their vermicelli dishes. It was half veggies, 1/4 noodles and 1/4 meat. The meat was flavored nicely but to me, when I order a Vermicelli dish, I am looking for noodles, not a salad with noodles in it which is what this was with all the veggies I got. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I would not have to go the Kearny Mesa area every time I wanted Vietnamese cuisine. Besides the funny name which I am a fan of, I also enjoy the fried egg rolls, spring rolls, and the vermicelli dishes there. I look forward to the Pho on the next visit. Once I had the Bahn Mi (Vietnamese sandwich) and found it rather lacking in quantity of meat and slightly overpriced at $3.50-3.75. I do appreciated that they do place the hot Asian peppers outside the sandwich so that you do have a choice. He didn't really know if one the sauces were gluten free so I just avoided it and asked for something different. If you have a gluten free menu, your staff should be educated on what has gluten and what doesn't. +Spring Rolls: Nothing out of the ordinary. Came with peanut sauce, I asked for a side of nuoc mam because I like dipping my pork spring rolls in fish sauce. +Bun Thit Nuong: Great. Lots of meat and noodles. Could have gone a little easier on the lettuce. Came with one bowl of the fish sauce. My husband asked for a second bowl and poured it all over. +Banh Xeo: Ordered the vegetarian version. Was way too overcooked. The edges were burned and the whole thing was so hard that I cut the roof of my mouth trying to chew my food. I pretty much had to soak it in fish sauce for a minute to make it barely edible. Will not be ordering this again. Super nice staff but mediocre pho. The meat was weird, thickly sliced and spongy in my rare beef pho #12 as opposed to thinly sliced and entirely edible. Had to leave lots of the weird chewy bits from the meat on the side plate. The herbs were nice and fresh which accompanied the broth. The broth was OK, it wasn't rich and full flavored as it should be. I eat a lot of pho and worked for years in a French Vietnamese restaurant so I know my pho. If the front of the house would get the kitchen staff paying a bit more attention, this place would be terrific. read more
