[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little Vietnamese restaurant, it's typically not ever busy at all, in fact I wish more people in Vista ventured into this place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They make a nice bowl of noodles and both their egg rolls as well as their spring rolls are a nice appetizer. With the amount of Hispanics here in Vista I would have expected more of them to be eating at this restaurant (in Mira Mesa and on Convoy St down in Kearny Mesa you find plenty of Hispanics love them some Phó.) I say take a chance and come support this local small business. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If I could add one suggestion it would be to always either have music playing (even their own Vietnamese style music would be fine....just like Chinese restaurants play their own music) or, put the TV on and play some sports.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] People do enjoy watching sports when they eat. (Not sure why....but they do)

Pho Vista HEALED ME. I had the worst food-borne illness of my entire life, I could not eat solid food for over a week, and a friend swears by this place, she recommended I at least try it. I had the vegetarian broth with silken tofu and egg noodles for the protein, and I was very careful with the fresh herbs and vegetables that came with the meal. This pho genuinely revived me, it brought me back from the brink, it made me feel 1000x better and I am a BELIEVER. I wanted to cry and fall at their feet but I was in my house because I was too weak to go anywhere (thank you, delivery). The massive improvement I saw after two big bowls of pho from Pho Vista was more than I thought possible. Your delicious, gentle vegetarian tofu pho saved me! Fan for life.

Food was really good; we ordered the Beef Pho with Brisket, you can add up to three different meats to the beef pho. Broth was very flavorful, added some chili oil and jalapeños for some spice and it was great. Service was quick and we didn't have to wait too long for our order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was very basic and plain, not really for aesthetics it wasn't necessarily nice. Bright lights and there are tables and booths as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No bowl sizes to choose from but it was basically small for $14.95, tipping starts at 15%, and for five bowls of beef pho the total (including tip and tax) came out to $80.92. Overall, was a good spot to try but we probably wouldn't come back as it's like every other common pho place. Also offers delivery through DoorDash, Caviar, UberEats, and Postmates if that's more convenient for you!

We visited on Tuesday at 5:20pm and they had a few tables already seated but there was no wait, which was awesome because we are very hungry! Haha I ordered pho beef soup with brisket and we'll done steak and my boyfriend ordered pho beef soup with filet mignon and brisket. The service was very quick and the lady taking our order and delivering our food was so sweet and attentive! We usually go to another pho restaurant, but on Tuesdays they are closed (we forgot). Finding this place was a happy accident! And it just so happens to be closer to our home. I will definitely be coming back if not to sit and dine, then to take some food to-go! Try it out! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I came here about 30 min before closing and definitely was rushed to finish my meal and leave before 9. They told us that they close right at 9 as I was sitting down, then took our order immediately. The food came out fast, but they also brought the check with the food. The whole time we ate, they were watching us eat waiting for us to leave. I don't blame them for wanting to leave on time, but it was definitely a pressurized situation. We ended up leaving at 9:02- I've never ate so fast in my life. We got the pho tai chin and the nem nuong rolls. The pho wasn't bad, but the nem nuong rolls were not good. They felt like something I could make easily at home, and the nem nuong was weird. To be fair, I'm a bit of a Vietnamese food snob, but with the disappointing rolls plus the poor service, I wouldn't return.

Stopped in while running an errand in town and were pleasantly surprised. Food came out fast. The chicken pho broth was flavorful and very yummy. Was a little on the oily side though. Steamed tofu & vegetable pho was pretty good but tasted like powdered or cubed broth. Almost like knorr vegetable broth base powder. The amount and variety of veg was nice and the noodles were cooked nicely.

Pho-Ever is great! The food and service are very good. Our first time there, the manager helped us pick out a dish that was so delicious. We've been back several times since. I moved here about a year ago and usually go to my favorite pho place in Escondido, but my friend usually goes here so I tried it with him. It was very good and was pretty packed for a Sunday night which is usually a good sign. I've also gotten a to go order and everything went just fine. I would definitely recommend. read more

I judge every place off of the rice vermicelli. So far this is the best I have had. The BBQ is seasoned well, all white meat, and never dry. My boyfriend loves the pho. We thought the egg rolls were just ok though. We keep coming back. read more

I eat out for lunch every day, and I eat at Pho-Ever at least once a week. I love their lunch specials. Low cost and great tasting! I've been to several other Vietnamese restaurants in the area and Pho Ever has them all beat on price and taste. The employees are super friendly and actually address me by my name when I come in. I've never had bad tasting food here. I highly recommend. read more

I found this place a couple years ago and I cant seem to stay away from this amazing cooking and how clean they keep everything. it is a family run business and they work very hard to please. They offer a linch special with spring roll , bowel soup and drink for under $ 8 - If you want really hot fresh food come here you wont be disappointed! Dave Martin read more

This is one of our favorite restaurants! We try to eat here once a week. My favorite is the chicken banh-mi sandwich and the #12 pho. Absolutely delicious! My wife loves the chicken curry with rice. And we always have to get their egg rolls. The best in town! The service is always great! I can't wait to get back there! read more

Went here for lunch with a friend who is in love with this place and I shared her sentiment! I wasn't feeling like a huge lunch so I skipped pho and instead ordered the Vegetarian Combo Stir Fry, which was delicious! A really flavorful sauce with lots of veggies and crispy tofu. A perfect lunch portion and a great deal for $8! Very friendly and quick service plus a pleasant aura inside. Definitely lots of vegetarian & vegan options! read more

I use yelp to find restaurants all over the country while I travel for work. This is the first time I've felt compelled to write one for my own hot spot;-) Food is always great here and the service is even better. Its not the type of pho restaurant where they rush you in and out of an assembly line. It's not fancy either. We had dinner here for the first time and had heard good things from many of our friends. We both ordered #5 Pho and the broth, veggies and noodles were good. The prices are very reasonable but I was left feeling that the proteins were very small portions even given the price (maybe 2 ounces total of the 3 proteins in the dish. Service was efficient and pleasant. The beer selections were good and priced fairly. Tables were full and the food at other tables and coming out of the kitchen looked good. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. The restaurant was clean and well maintained except for the blackened concrete at the front door that looks like it has never seen a power washer. We will return again. Good value and pleasant experience (but again portion of proteins was lacking- maybe 2-3 ounces given the price is reasonable). Just need to extend the cleaning to the entrance where first and last impressions are made. read more

Best pho in Carlsbad-Vista area! The broth is delicious. They even had kids pho noodle soup and the price is great for North County. The have a friendly staff and it's always packed even on a weekday. Tried other pho places and this they don't even compare. Best comfort food in town - roll in and make you belly happy. read more

We've been coming here for quite some time and here is what i like about the place: The fresh bbq shrimp bowl. The vegetarian bowl. What i don't like is we typically have to wait, but that is what comes with a good restaurant. The place is smaller than most which also is a reason you have to write your name on a waiting list. The food is good and the manger is always on the staff to keep it moving. read more

This review is because of the restaurants relationship with UBER EATS. I ordered food 2 hours ago. Still waiting. The restaurant says is Uber Eats Fault. They need to take responsibility for the company they choose to deliver. I was unable to cancel. Now I am stuck with a $38 charge for food I will never eat because it will be too late and too cold. read more

I would not recommend. I found a black piece of coffee in my daughter's drink. Or at least that's what they told my when I asked. I understand that sometimes people mess up, but then, I found a fruit fly in her pho..I would not recommend eating here. read more

This place has really gone down hill. Went in last night and the waitress kept forgetting our drinks. Finally a few came out and we were still waiting on the rest. About 10 min later we got her attention about the other drinks and she said they were out of glasses. The place wasn't even busy so I don't know how they run out of glasses. When we finally got our food, 3 orders were wrong. The worst part was my sister in law found HAIR in her food!!!! Will never be coming back here again!!! read more

Best Pho I've had and one of my favorite places to eat in North County at this time. If in the mood for some good Vietnamese food you should definitely check this place out. The young man who usually serves my lady and me is always a pleasure to talk to. He's always got a new recommendation. If I had to say what our two favorites are I'd definitely say the filet mignon pieces with onions/peppers and chicken curry noodle soup. Another thing I love about this place is their portion size. You'll never leave hungry unlike some other Pho spots around.. plus they always give you a tasty dipping sauce with your meat and salad dressing unlike other places. read more

It's back to what it used to be. I've read some reviews that their quality and quantity have deteriorated and we have had the same opinion. It was sad because this was always a 'go to' for us. We tried it again several nights ago and it was great! The portions were larger and the taste was good and fresh. Pham was there and he took care of us. read more

I am hooked on this place! I used to have my own little pho place that i would always go to no matter what... one of the guys i work with recommended this place and i've never looked back... the broth is awesome and so is the meat... from what i understand they use fillet minion for the stake, very tender. if your in the area, give it a shot. read more

I love to go with my girlfriends to this place. It's the first Vietnamese food I have ever tasted and it has made me a big fan! The staff is nice and the food is fantastic. I've been going to PHO-EVER for the past year and I think I'm addicted to their food. The soups are very good and huge. Great service, considering the size of the place. My only recommendation to the owner/waiters.... Water is mandatory!! Other than that, I love the people, love the food. They are located just off of Santa Fe Ave. in a small shopping strip. The interior is very simple, with very little decor. It is also very small and only allows for about 25 customers seating. Although there is booth seating for groups of four, this place is best for solo or date-dining. The service here is fast, friendly and very welcoming. This is because it is owned by a husband, wife and son; so there is a very personal touch when it comes to customer service. I've come here twice and so far I really love the no. 46 pork vermicelli noodles, their egg rolls, spring rolls, and their combination phô soup. It is important to note that there is pork in their eggrolls and I love how crispy they are. All of the meats in my meals were delicious! Their menu is priced very affordably with the majority of the items costing under $15. They appear to be very popular for delivery service services, such as DoorDash and Uber eats. There were also many people who did pick-up. Although I could wish for more ambience inside with some music, I can appreciate that there's ample parking in their shared lot and they have a clean bathroom. We each ordered a different dish, and of course, I ordered the beef pho. It was kind of a gamble. I immediately regretted it as soon as I placed the order, fearing it wouldn't be up to my standards--especially since I'm a chef and used to live in an area with a very high Vietnamese population with many well known pho restaurants. When the pho came out, it only took a few sips for me to realize I was wrong to have prejudged this restaurant. The broth was a little lighter than at some other pho restaurants; however, I could taste all the hidden ingredients like star anise, ginger, and onions. The meat was well-cooked, and everything tasted fresh. My friend ordered bò kho and bò lúc lắc, while his sister had the rare beef pho. They both finished their plates and bowls to the last drop. The restaurant is clean and the service is excellent. If you are in the area and looking for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, look no further--please check out this spot!

Fish sauce was enough to pour over everything, rice, salad, and pork. I devoured it and would definitely order again. My husband ate the pho. He said the brisket was alright by itself. He's had better. Adding hoisin sauce helps. The dish only included two packets of hoisin. (I keep a bottle on hand because I normally like hoisin with almost every bite whenever I eat pho. Restaurants never give enough.) Be sure to ask for extra! The noodles came in a bowl which is convenient. Other establishments may have the noodles in a Chinese take out box and you supply your own bowl. Overall, he was happy with his meal. The restaurant only had one table with guests. Two more tables were taken by the time I left. I don't know if I've ever seen this place packed. The decor is the same from the previous business that occupied that spot. The restaurant is fairly quiet with the exception of a movie playing on tv. I don't know the movie. Didn't pay much attention to it until I heard cussing. A lot of it. Tense scenes. The lady servicing the front paid no attention to it. Probably background noise to her. I wasn't a fan. Not exactly family friendly and poor taste imo. I went here because my usual spot is closed on Tuesdays. Overall, it was a decent experience.

The staff were great, especially the lady at the cashier counter area who was wearing a pink dress. She was personable and quite welcoming. We ordered our usual pho with fatty and lean brisket along with tendons. Although we only opted for the smaller bowls, we were surprised to see how packed the noodles and meat were in these bowls. The meat was tender and the soup was hot and tasty.

Lately, I've been searching for a new go-to pho spot, and this place is definitely climbing back up my list. The staff was professional and attentive, and the restaurant itself was very clean. The dining room, bathrooms, tables, and sauce stations were all well maintained. I also appreciated the hand sanitizer available at every table small detail, but a nice touch. I ordered the regular pho for about $15 and really enjoyed the broth. The meats were tender and flavorful, especially the brisket and tripe. Portion sizes definitely seem smaller compared to the oversized bowls many spots used to serve years ago, but honestly it works well if you're trying to avoid overdoing it. My son ordered the grilled pork chops with rice. The flavor was good, especially paired with the fish sauce, though the pork chops could have been a little hotter and had more of that grilled flavor. Parking can sometimes be tricky depending on the time of day, but today it wasn't an issue at all. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and especially the broth. Pho House is definitely becoming one of my preferred pho spots in Oceanside again.

I have a simple litmus test to figure out whether or not a new restaurant is worth trying. The key lies in observing the demographic of the patrons. For instance, if your contemplating whether or not to venture to a new Mexican restaurant, make sure that people who are actually Hispanic also frequent the place. Given this, my initial observation of Pho-Ever proved telling. I saw many people of Asian descent (Vietnamese in particular) enjoying their meals on both of my visits. The service was both friendly and speedy. Most importantly though, the food was delicious! I've eaten Viet food from all over California, and this place, by far, has the tastiest food. The Pho is very tasty, and perfectly seasoned. The meat used for the Thit Bo Luc Lac was amazing, and the chef complimented it well with his/her cooking; it was perfect, neither too rare or overcooked. Not convinced yet? I gave Pho-Ever one more challenge before it could earn my recommendation as best Viet food to date... What does mom think? My mother is a tough food critic. Even more so when it comes to Vietnamese food, given the fact that she has eaten it and cooked it for more then 50 years. Long story short, she said, Pho-Ever had it all figured out, and she even complimented the cook herself, and if you knew the type of person my mother is, you would understand why I have to claim that Pho-Ever has the best Vietnamese food around. read more

This was my first time here and I would absolutely go back again and again. The service was way above average; our server (who I think was one of the owners) was super friendly, knowledgeable and made it a great experience. All of his recommendations were excellent and we ended up trying a few dishes that we wouldn't have normally. The food was wonderful as well. It came out fast, it was hot, and very fresh. They definitely know what they're doing here. I would certainly go back and try other menu items besides their pho as well. If you want to try something different just ask for a suggestion and prepare to be wowed. Great place! read more

Some dishes to try: Chicken wings: These are amazing; I love the fried shallots on top! Some of the best wings I've ever had. Bun Rieu: I haven't had it better anywhere in San Diego! I gave them 2 stars for their services and waitress. The foods were horrible. They're not taste like they used to be. I ordered a spicy beef noodles but wasn't smell or tasted like it had to be (no spicy, etc.) The soup was tasteless. My auntie had Pho, but too salty. They should change their chefs or they need to check the foods before serve them to customers. I've been to many other Vietnamese restaurants, and this place wasn't good as shown. read more
