    Bun Bo Hue
    Chicago g.

Had the bun bo hue along with a party of 12. All enjoyed their entrees. You get the trimmings yourself which I didn't mind, saves me time in requesting more as I grab the amount I usually get with my entree. I would definitely revisit.

First time here. Came during lunch. Service was very fast. I had a friend with me who explained how the restaurant worked. The pho I ordered came out fast and it was something different the noodle were amazing. The broth I had to add some salt to it but other than that it was very good. The atmosphere was pleasant people were coming in and out but the seating was very spacious.

What an absolutely amazing find on yelp to crave our hanger (yes hunger and anger haha). My gf and I really were craving pho on this weird crazy day of bad air quality, and knew that a good bowl of pho would help us out big time. I found this place just scrolling through Yelp, and I'm extremely glad we did. The place was clean, trendy, and played soft acoustic covers of Pixar movie soundtracks which just set the whole vibe well. We got a lot of food and had no regrets with any of them. Here's the list of what we got. 1. Crab Rangoons 2. Asian Fried Chicken Wings 3. Pho Special 4. Lemongrass Chicken Dry Noodles 5. Grilled Pork Banh Mi 6. Vietnamese Iced Coffee (Best I've Had) I will say everything just hit. I don't have anything bad to say about the food. The crab rangoons were filled with lots of crab meat and sweet savory flavor, which was awesome. The chicken wings were juicy and crisp. They were covered in tangy asian spices and sauce, similar to korean wings which was great. The Pho special was delicious. I liked that the broth was a little less meaty than some pho I've had before, and a lot more fragrant and light. The broth was delicious and we eat it until there was nothing left. The lemongrass chicken dry noodles was such a refreshing dish that I could eat on any hot summer day. The banh mi was just as good too (I forgot to take a photo of it at the restaurant). The pork was juicy and flavorful, and the sandwich held its form and flavor. A key hack is to dip your banh mi into your pho broth... Game Changer. Lovely place for a nice lunch or dinner. The restaurant is nice and large and could accommodate bigger parties if needed. They mentioned something about a party room so if you need to use it just call ahead. my gf and I might make this our new spot. not knocking our other suggestions/reviews, but the staff was so nice. The food quality was amazing, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was superb. Thank You Pho Xich Lo and the staff for making our day!

Great Food. Great Value. 20% off after 4:00 pm during March 2023. Pho is excellent. Large portion. Pot Stickers and Crab Rangoon are some of the best we've ever had.

#15... I already ate the tiny quail egg.

I stumbled upon this place when heading to pick out quartz in the industrial park area nearby... It's on the corner & looks like a dive.... But I'd drive back for the delicious & fresh #15 - Hundred Tieu noodle soup. Props for taking the shrimp tails off!

    Pho Special! So flavorful!

My husband and I are craving for Vietnamese soup pho dac bet and I googled the nearest area Vietnamese resto and this resto is what I found. The all meat special pho we ordered is very delish, well seasoned and the staff gave us the option to garnish our soup with the laid on the table garnishings, bean sprouts, veggie leaves... They also have a variety of booba, milk tea, and wide array of fun to drink concoctions! Service is prompt , spot on and excellent. Ambience is casual and spacious. Resto is squeaky clean.. This is a hidden gem of a resto in El Grove worth a visit....

Awesome new Vietnamese spot with friendly service and tons of seating. The food came out very fast, despite them seeming very busy! It was all delicious, and authentic, according to my Vietnamese coworker that went with me. Will definitely return for lunch again. They even have a drive through!

We had boorsok for our appetizer, fried dough bites that reminded me of funnel cake without sugar, and there were a lot! I had the strawberry mojito drink, and it was fantastic, really tasting of fresh fruit with many mint leaves inside. The khachapuri was extraordinary. They do imeruli style, round and similar to a pizza, the crust beautifully blistered and the cheese thick with a wonderful pull. One of my friends hadn't had khachapuri before and is now a convert. We also had boso lagman, with hand-pulled noodles and beef, and big manty dumplings with flavorful meatballs inside. I requested we get a slice of honey cake, too, and that was a perfect finish to the meal. Sweet but not overkill, and really tasted like honey, graham crackers, and cream. I'm not sure when I will possibly be in this area again, but wow, I would come here again.

The decor offered great ambiance! In order to try a couple of items my sister and I decided to split the laghman and eggplant salad. The laghman was excellent with fresh hand-pulled noodles. I appreciated that they split the dish in the kitchen for us. The eggplant salad was a good portion to supplement the noodles. But points of caution that they are fried and have an almost sweet and sour sauce on top which for me was a little heavy. Overall quick and efficient service for a sit down lunch during the work week. They also appeared to have an extensive drink menu of different lemonade and coffee that I would be interested to try next time.

We got there at 10:45pm and as we walked to the door, a large group of six people were leaving with a female employee holding the door and saying goodbye in Korean. We made it past the group as the lady was still holding the door and I notice her facial expression had changed from smiling as she said goodbye to a stink face as we made eye contact. I didn't push my way in either. I notice the neon open sign was off but saw on the door that business on Mon -Thurs was open to midnight. I asked politely while the staff was holding the door if they were still open and didn't get a response from her although I swear I saw her rolling her eyes at us but whatever. Anyway, we walked in after her and another lady came to greet us. This lady had a better attitude initially until I asked for a table for two. Then the first staff member was already waiting at a table as if she was seating us but didn't say anything about it. We sat down and looked at the menu. We thought that was it with the attitude. Decided on what to order and called over the waitress which was the second staff who had greeted us. We placed our order with her and then got the reply "is that all you want. Kitchen is closing so you can't order anymore after." I was kinda taken back and said "yea that's fine". All this was done before 11pm which is why I don't understand why the attitude. The food came out quick and we probably ate for only 15-20 mins. Felt rushed and was ignored by staff. We decided to just packed the food to go. Our food was delicious but was ruined by the experience. The food was on the pricey side. Order spicy rice cake, seafood and chive pancake, and jok bal or steamed pigs feet. Cost over $75. Will not recommend this place even if the food was good. DON'T POST YOUR BUSINESS HOURS AS 12:00am IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON TAKING IN BUSINESS AFTER 11pm.

Both the service and quality of food has gone way down from what they were famous for. The waitress spilled my tea, also dipped her finger in my tea, had no apology or offer to exchange it with a fresh cup. I had to ask her for a fresh cup of tea. Then the other server that brought our entrees spilled my husbands tea and again no offering to getting a fresh cup. We had to ask AGAIN for a fresh cup! While the portions were generous, the quality of all the food has gone way down. The special family recipe of thier shrimp dish Gan Pong is nothing but fried shrimp with dried chili peppers and no flavor. The Hunan spicy beef and chicken appeared to be all globs and sticky because of excessive and over use of corn starch used during the cooking process. This dish didn't have any unique flavor that one would expect. Previously we had experienced a difference in the food, taste and quality and that's what kept us returning. Sadly, after this experience I wouldn't recommend it to anyone or come back! I'd rather stick with Yu's Mandarin than drive to this place! Quality always wins over quantity in my books!

The baseline meets expectations. For a store of this size, they have a very good selection of Japanese and other Asian products, imported and domestic. Further, their selection of house-made items, like the tsukemono is impressive! The store is very clean (restrooms included), and well-stocked. The prices are on the higher side, but this is common and expected from a specialty market. They also have a food court - one counter sells all the food (rather than multiple stalls). The selection is fair with bowls, sushi, ramen, and other apps, IIRC. The dining area is massive and very well through out. There is free water, large containers of miso soup (which one is apparently free to refill at their heart's content). Bonus points for not having to carry (and spill) hot soup on the way there. While the area is clean, there are table wipes provided. The only thing missing is unlimited green tea like many places have in Japan, but given the cost of matcha in the US, I understand, and am by no means complaining. I'd ordered a bowl with various kinds of seafood. While not a masterwork, it was excellent for the category of items prepared in a grocery store. There are other small things which go a long way in the big picture view: The staff are helpful and friendly, think a Trader Joe's like attitude; increasingly rare in retail. At the register, items that have the potential to leak are sealed in small plastic bags. Going further, there are small bags of ice (think school nurse for playground boo-boo's sized) to help keep delicate items cold and fresh. Final thing I loved: the parking lot has ample EV charging, and there is even a charger by an accessible parking spot. Though I don't need an accessible spot, I appreciate that those who have a need and drive a plug-in are able to charge. Final verdict: Tensuke delivers an all around excellent experince, with a great selection, friendly staff, and little details like preventing items form leaking and free ice making the experience truly top notch. Would recommend?: Yes, especially if you're a fan of Asian cuisine. Would return?: Absolutely, I see myself going at least once a month, or when the snacks run out!

I'll have to come back another time when the food court is open so I can try some of their freshly prepared dishes. Hopefully, the next visit will be a better experience!
