I love this place. The food always taste fresh and it is consistent. The place is clean and there is also a server available. People comment on the cold service which is probably accurate, but I have always found the service to be very helpful when they are asked. Good cheap food. My husband doesn't like Vietnamese food, but he would give this place 5 stars. Ordered Pho (#21) and Jasmine Grill (grilled pork with rice, but you can choose another meat) and summer roll with grilled pork. They were all very good. Total was just under $20 before tips. Service was good and fast. Good location. My husband really liked the Grilled pork, but I would've given it a 4, just because the grilled pork is not what I would expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. It is more like roast pork from Chinese restaurants. That is probably the "red coloring", but I think it is just "barbecue" sauce they use. Pho was really good, lots of noodles and meat for $7.50. My only complaint, and this is just my preference, is that the meat was not thin enough. I like the meat really really thin, like the "hot pot" meat you get from Asian markets. read more

I stopped here for lunch with some coworkers. We were sat immediately and they brought water. We all had the Pho and it was fresh and delicious. They bring a plate of Thai basil, bean sprouts, lime and jalapeño to add to your dish. They also have hot pepper, Hoison and Sriracha sauces available on the table. I am basing this review on the one experience I had here, and I will not return. I was hungry and wanted something small for take out, so I ordered the shrimp spring rolls to go. Service was quick and as soon as I got to my car, I dug in. I have eaten many a shrimp spring roll, and I've even made them myself, and these rolls were terrible in so many ways. The rice paper was so tough that I had a hard time biting through it (perhaps it wasn't soaked in water quite long enough? It wasn't sticky like they can be when they've sat out too long - just very tough). One of the shrimp was clearly bad and smelled, and I had to pull it out after a unfortunate bite. The other shrimp were completely tasteless and merely had the texture of shrimp. The rest of the insides lacked any flavor at all, and there may have been half a mint leaf somewhere. Bland, chewy, with a rotten shrimp, the latter of which I'm assuming is the cause of the stomach issues I had later than day. I will not give a restaurant another chance when they serve me something so utterly tasteless and with non-fresh ingredients. I've read the good reviews here, and I hate that I can't get good Vietnamese food around this area, but I just can't bring myself to go back when they can't get something as easy as a spring roll to have even a modicum of flavor and freshness. read more

I was craving pho after a long night out yesterday. Although I was a bit skeptical about getting pho at a place located in a big plaza,I wanted to stay local and decided to give this place a try after reading all the great reviews. I ordered 2 pho dac biet ( Deluxe pho) to go. When I arrived to the restaurant it smelled kind of funny. When I brought the food home and tasted the pho I was so disappointed. It was not good. The broth had a weird sour smell and taste to it. That would explain what the restaurant smelled like.My bf agreed . We couldn't even finish it and threw most of it out. Came in on a rainy afternoon, craving some pho, but unfortunately left only with a bad taste in my mouth. The place seems to do business mostly with regulars who get greeted, served and taken care of ahead of others. We waited a good 10 minutes watching another couple walk in and get food on their tables while we did not even get the customary glass of iced water. The guy up front was busy taking to-go orders and did not even have the courtesy to tell us there was a wait or get a waiter to attend to us. I believe a restaurant can have good food but bad service to ruin it's business, and this place is one of them. When I'm craving pho I have to come here, because their noodle soup is good, and close to me. But I hate to come here because their service is soooo bad. Rude waiters that don't greet you and I said thank you upon leaving after dining and gave them more than 20% tips, but I got no thank you back, as if they are the paying customer. So annoyed every time I come here, I get angry when I leave due to bad service, but I come back again after a few months cuz I'm craving noodle soup. My family has been extremely loyal to Pho Xinh since they first opened, but this weekend we experienced the worst customer service violation (to put it mildly) that we have ever witnessed and I think you should know about it. The short version is that the waiter struck our 9 month old for dropping a menu on the floor. To give you the proper context, my wife and I are first time parents who have been visiting Pho Xinh since they opened, probably once every other week on average, all through our pregnancy and our son's first 9 months. As he has gotten old enough to feed himself we let him eat little bits of food off of the edge of the table and we are always vigilant about picking up anything that he drops and cleaning off the table afterward. We also leave a sizable tip to cover any perceived inconvenience and to help support a local restaurant that we have always felt was child friendly and had quality food. Yesterday, however, shortly after we were seated, the waiter that we have seen there the most (I think that he might actually be the owner) struck our 9 month old son for dropping a menu on the floor. We had given him a menu since it is laminated and he can't tear it up and we are teaching him to turn pages. It's almost as large as he is, though, so he must have dropped it while we were deciding what to eat. Normally we pick things up right away so that the staff doesn't feel like they have to, but we missed this one. Our waiter came over, grabbed our son's little baby hand and placed it on his own palm-to-palm. He the struck the hand with his other hand very briskly which got our attention. We hadn't really seen it the first time but we looked up immediately. The waiter was holding the menu up to our son's face and scolding him with "No, no, no!" like someone might discipline a dog. At that point I was opening my mouth to stop him when he did the hand slapping thing again. Luckily my son is still too young to understand what had happened and he didn't react at all. This is similar to the way that he sometimes cries when he gets a vaccine at the doctors and other times is too busy playing with his feet to notice. Had he been at all hurt or frightened this interaction would have ended much differently. As it was, I took control of the situation and said pretty much the same thing that you would have. I lost my appetite immediately but my wife ate because she was really starving. They tried to calm us down, but the attempt involved the waiter putting his arm around me and I advised him to stay beyond my reach for the rest of the meal. Needless to say we will never go back there again. This was a massive violation. I don't care how things work in Vietnam, but here waiters don't strike other people's children. First, a 9 month old is too young to understand what's going on. The concepts of "holding" versus "dropping" and "good" versus 'bad" are not really ideas he's capable of grasping right now. Second, we are the interface between our child and other adults around us. If he had a problem with our son dropping the menu he needed to scold us, not our son. Third, nobody touches our child but us with the obvious exception of family, doctors, and professional caretakers. Fourth, when we come to a restaurant we expect absolutely no hitting of any kind. I do not feel that these four expectations are too high. read more

So upset with this place. My boyfriend and I went to just get bubble tea. The waiter gave us attitude (as so he did the first time I went there a few weeks ago). We were left standing for a good five min before anyone took our order. When we got it I didn't even get what I wanted. I asked for green tea and got something totally different that tasted horrible. (and I know what green tea tastes like since I got it here before.) Our drinks werent even handed to us just put on the table, without a thank you or a have a good day. I picked up my order on my way home from work in Voorhees (25 minutes from my home). I ordered Pho with shrimp and received 5 shrimp in the box that accompanied the soup broth. The worst was the spicy beef noodle soup that came with a box of beef fat. It was inedible and disgusting. I called the manager who stated that I could drive all the way back (40 minutes)with the food for a refund, after he put me on hold to 'check with the kitchen' (who I guess confirmed that they sent out a box of slop). What I thought would make a quick and easy dinner turned out to be the complete opposite. We made scrambled eggs! Don't waste your time with this place! Had not been in a while, service was lacking. Very pleased to find under new ownership with the same menu. Service was exceptional with new staff, and food was still amazing... Until one of us found a bug in the broth. Put the bug in a spoon, when the waiter asked if we wanted it wrapped, quietly pointed to the spoon, not wanting to upset fellow guests who were eating. Waiter was kind and attentive, apologized. He spoke to the Manager, who gave us a whooping 10% off our bill! We did speak to the Manager and told him 10% off when you cannot eat your meal is an absolute insult! I assume he thought we put the bug in our food to skip out on a $20 something bill! I love the pho noodle soup here. The summer rolls are great too. The chicken satay looked good too but if you come to eat here eat real Vietnamese food like vermicelli or pho. I wouldn't recommend the fried rice. The service is always wonderful and they're so kind here. read more

Pho Ga & Pho Tom we're absolutely delicious. The staff is rather inattentive though. We needed refills on our drinks and never got them and I had to wait for one guy to look up from his phone in order to get the check.
