The pho broth was pretty good but not as rich as I hoped (and there was no basil served with the pho, just cilantro, peppers, lime and bean sprouts) but everything was fresh and piping hot. I was hungry and after helping a friend move earlier in a cold rain, I need a hotpot to warm up my insides. I went to Fuokoku on LIE and Springfield blvd, but they would not take my order and even though they are supposed to close at 12pm, they closed before 10pm. They may have been sone mixup with the language but I got there 950pm and both gate were down. I looked up another place, Pho32 and there were still people inside eating. They were each alone enjoying their meals. I called and requested my food by phone 1st. My order was ready 5 mins after I arrived, less than 10 mins later. I was in heaven. The male server, was a little curt at 1st, but then offered me a small piece of chocolate and had a big smile when I thanked him! I ordered 2 large seafood hotpot, Shumai shrimp and 2 spring rolls. The Ambiance is somewhere in the middle of the road between good and better. I always enjoy their Pho, and the service is fairly quick, but totally dependent on how busy they are, and what you are oredering. If busy, your Pho will still come fairly quick, but other menu items will take a bit longer, especially the Shabu shabu. Servers are always very friendly? Although I stumbled across a few who have challenges with speaking english. It's fine though as they will grab a server that is more fluent than they are, to assist. The Pho broth is consistently good and a generous portion. If you order the seafood Pho, I typically order a side of shrimp and add that to the regular order. Now for $4 more you really have a nice meal. There are also other additional side dishes available. A small Plate of kimchi is offered with any meal, and they do not charge you extra if you ask for more. Note that this place is open until 3:00 AM, so a great place to go to on a late cold night. read more

I have been ordering from here regularly multiple times a month sometimes even twice a week..and they just charged me a ridiculous fee for some peanut sauce. First they charged me 50 cents and when I said I didn't need all that peanut sauce I just needed a slightly bigger container so I can make my own sauce, after doing so they charged me $2 and I looked at them like Why am I being charged $2 when I didn't even take that amount of peanut sauce? Told me it was the cost of the container, I said they should've told me that prior to just charging me and he pretty much shrugged it off like oh well. Again I am a REGULAR There and I have never even fussed when they made errors to my order but if this is how you treat your regulars I will be taking my business elsewhere. Usually you don't get good pho at a place that is not authentically Vietnamese and especially one they is not a fusion of something else and in this case, Shabu shabu. The pho broth at Pho 32 is really clarified/very little oil. As a Vietnamese person, I would want the most flavorful bone broth with the freshest meat in my pho. Today I was looking for a kids meal pho but they sell a Pho #0 on their menu which is a regular pho with just noodles and soup ($10). The kids will like this and the elders that have no teeth to chew on meat can still enjoy some pho. The noodles and soup were packaged neatly in separate containers, and the utensils were wrapped in a napkin. The pho was ready in about 10 minutes and they take card for your purchase. The menu says "the price has increased" most likely to offset covid operation. read more

Terrible pho and terrible service. It's Korean version of Vietnamese food, hence, water down soup and uncooked noodles. The soup was water down and doesn't even taste like pho at all. We ordered a large bowl and there was so little meats and so little noodle. The chicken rice was so disgusting that I want to ask if they really serve this to a paying customer. I love this spot. I've tried other Pho places in the city and Astoria, but I have to say this place won. It's affordable, the service is quick, friendly, and the broth flavors are just amazing. I ordered my food to go, so my review reflects service, my order and wait. I walked in and went to the servers to ask about ordering to go. "Of course" they said with smiles as they hand me a menu. It was 8 pm on a Monday and almost all the tables were full. I asked a question about the pho choices and selected raw beef which I suppose is basic, but man when I got home and opened up all those little bags and boxes...yummo-central! Anyhow , I ordered and the bag was handed to me within 5 minutes. Large came out to 11.52 with tax. I stopped off at a friend's house and didn't get home for another half hour. Let me tell you, this food was piping hot STILL and as i added all the ingredients into a large bowl I was impressed. Mixed in with the cilantro were jalapenos so if you aren't a fan I would suggest nixing them. I pulled out a hand full but left a few to try it. Btw, my super big bowl wasn't big enough, I had to slurp some of the broth before moving to my table. Ooh! I exclaimed. Very tasty. Overall the soup was great, only suggestion, the raw beef seemed a bit skimpy maybe a slice or two more would do it. Also included in the bag were the two sauces maybe a hot sauce and hoisin, but I didn't use them bc the broth was so flavorful they weren't needed. We tried Pho32 in k-town years ago and were happy to see it in Queens. However it was a disappointment. The spring roll Is not genuine and there was no fish sauce, no lettuce wrap and no Mint. The broth of pho was ok but lacked the fragrance and again there was no mint. This is the most important garnishment for Pho in my opinion. The worst of all was the pan fried seafood pho. The taste was awfully sweet (this is not a dessert?) with overwhelming sesame oil flavor. We had to ditch this dish. It is totally not recommend. Sorry, will not return. read more

Had the pho from here for the first time and it was surprisingly delicious considering that it's a pho/Shabu Shabu place owned by Koreans. They even had Kimchi as a side dish! The pho is really not that authentic but the broth was clear, light, and not oily & fatty like some places. The broth from here had a light and bland flavor, which I kinda like. This place has always been my go to pho spot! I go so much with my boyfriend that the servers recognize us and treat us as regulars. Very great portions and not as pricey as most places in the city. We sometimes go twice a week. We're not really treated like old customers ... or even valued customers. A note to the owner: do not let your staff complain about tips near the customer. They are not going to shame customers into giving a bigger tip. Tip is for service. But when the service isn't very good ... well, you know. My wife wasn't happy hearing your staff complain about the tip ... which was more than reasonable for the lax service we received. I love that this place is 24/7 and I remember many late night pho runs back in my college days. Sometimes you just crave pho at 3am! I haven't tried their Shabu Shabu yet, but I like their pho. The soup is flavorful, and IMO you don't need to add any sauces to it. I suggest just drinking some of the soup before you dig in, because it really is delicious by itself. There are also diff options on the menu where you can pick how much of the meat you want in it (flank only, flank and soft tendons, flank soft tendons and tripe, etc) which is good because sometimes you might not want all the cuts of meat in there. I only gave this 4 stars because the noodles are too over cooked for my taste. It's very soft and chewy, and I prefer my pho to be a bit al dente. But that's just a preference thing. This is the closest decently priced Pho place to my house. I didn't even finish walking out of their corridor and was greeted right away and motioned where to sit (nice, but could be seen as desperateness for customers). The menus are very old, raggedy, outdated, and confusing to read with handwritten markings on them. My first time here I thought they just hadn't gotten around to updating the menus. A year and a half later, they still put out the same ones, which shows their isn't any desire to update them. I always get the beef brisket, medium bowl of Pho. They only offer medium and large. Most times I can't even finish it. They bring out the pho within 5 minutes of ordering so thats a nice thing if you're starving for food. Concerning the pho, noodles are fine, broth tastes good (add some sriracha for more flavor), but the meat strips contain a LOT of fat on them. This is my biggest complaint here. Please, try to use leaner cuts of meat because you have me on the verge of not coming back. I used to tolerate and accept it but just recently starting tearing the fat off and separating it in a bowl. Now I could actually see how much of it is in a bowl of pho (see pic). I can't comment on any of their other food on the menu since Pho is literally all I come here for. The place is very well lit with no dimness or romantic atmosphere whatsoever. So if thats the kind of place you're looking for, its definitely not this one! This is a casual place for a night out with your group of 4-5 friends. You won't be coming here for its stellar ambience; you're coming for a simple bowl of pho to hit the pho spot and thats it :) This is not the best pho place around, but like I said if you don't want to travel far or spend a lot of time or $, this is your spot.
