We used to love this place and still do for the most part. I wanted to give 4 stars, but a couple of consistent mishaps recently warrants a 3. In general we love the pho here. V23 and V26 is our favorite. We also have little toddlers who like drawing on their paper table covering - nothing to do with the food, just means I don't have to pack an activity for them :) We used to also LOVE their summer rolls but as of mid 2025 they have shrunken in size significantly. I'm of the school: if you must, just charge me more, but maintain consistency in quality and in this case quantity. Their fried spring rolls are still great. Their bahm mi is really hit or miss. Half the time they don't even offer it and when they do, it's either really really good or sometimes it leaves you wondering where's the rest of the filling?! The two guys running the place are your standard Asian restaurant servers, but the older server can be super friendly, funny, and engaging. I was excited to see that this place had some options and inevitably my meal was exactly what I wanted. This place is no frills, hole-in-the-wall. I came here on a Monday with two other coworkers for lunch. There was plenty of seating. There was one waiter who handled everything and he was very quick and attentive. We ordered the Pho and the marinated grilled pork and spring roll bun. It was a great amount of food for the price. The only thing worth mentioning is that the restaurant already puts the fish sauce on the Bun Bowl. I didn't love that because normally I can't finish the entire bowl and makes it harder to keep longer as a leftover and I also don't like to add too much. This Vietnamese restaurant has been opened for over 30 years. Their business is mainly from the neighborhood with walkable distance. Coming here for a bowl of hot Pho and ordering grilled pork chops are recommended. Not many seatings indoor, and many order takeouts. Maybe also because it's not easy to find parking in the area. Favorite pho spot in Queens, ran by Chinese-Vietnamese folks. Parking is somewhat tricky and limited to street parking only. The place isn't super modern looking and has a somewhat hole-in-the-wall feel but the prices are good and the portions are filling. We've come here multiple times and always were able to be seated immediately or within a reasonable time. The waitstaff is effective with typical curt service that is somewhat expected, but food comes out very quick. Pho is a solid 8/10 here with rich and flavorful broth and generous amount of meat, and summer rolls are a 10/10. We've gotten both the shrimp and beef summer rolls, but we like the beef one in particular. I've also gotten the pork chop vermicelli bowl which is excellent as well. First, this restaurant is incredibly dirty. They don't wash the tables and instead put down paper sheets. They do not have a visible health score. Our cups came cracked leaked hot tea all over the table. I got a stomach ache from a separate drink I ordered. Second, every single time myself and my family have been here, the man who takes orders and works here has been rude and borderline condescending. Very small, dated, but the food was amazing! You know you've come to a really good restaurant when you see the native people of that cuisine filling the restaurant. We walked in and we were the only non-Asian people to enter and dine. They still treated us like family answered any questions that we had. I got takeout from here last night and was not impressed. Here was what I ordered: Cha Gio: The spring rolls themselves were fine, but the Nuoc cham sauce was very bland. It didn't have the fish sauce or sweet flavor it should have so that was disappointing. Bun Bo Lui: The dish itself would be good if it weren't for that bland Nuoc cham sauce. The beef was flavorful, but I wish there were more pieces. Pho Bo Vien: The broth was kind of bland and was alright. Nothing to rave about. We came here for dinner on a freezing cold night. The place is small but can accommodate about 6 tables. Its very cozy and clean. The service was excellent and attentive. All 5 of us got the Pho (Xe Lua). The broth is super flavorful, taste like its been simmering for hours, beef is falling apart tender, and rice noodles cooked perfectly. You get a nice amount of bean sprouts to throw into the pho. Price is very reasonable and you get extra meat for additional $2 which is a no brainer. I had the vietnamese coffee which did not have enough condensed milk in the cup as the coffee was on the darker side. I noticed they did not give me the top cover for the phin as I usually place the phin on the cover when I'm done brewing. No big deal but it just makes for a messy drip on the plate. The spring rolls were pretty tasty and fried perfectly. The summer rolls were bland to the point of being tasteless. The peanut sauce for the summer rolls were bland as well. The final verdict is this place is the last place I would go to for my pho fix, but I would go back. My first time going to a Vietnamese restaurant without my bf (he's Vietnamese and so I usually just leave it to him to order; my mom, who was with me, is not much more familiar with Vietnamese food than I am, and all I really know is bun rieu and pho but wanted to expand my food horizon, so to speak). I'm not a big meat eater, but I was craving something meaty, so I ordered the bun dac biet. "V65??" Says the waiter. "Very good. Trust me." Well I went for it, and what a great decision that was! My v65 (item # on menu; see photo) was delicious! Meat was tender enough (not super chewy, can't stand that) and I loved the flavor of the lemongrass sauce (at first I was worried it would be dry as the dish was not accompanied by sauces in separate dishes, hence nothing to dip my food into...glad I was wrong - the flavor was all there and the sauce in the dish itself was yum!). And loved the subtle crunch of the peanuts in the dish too. And overall good, friendly service. Only downside is that they didn't have tapioca pearls to make my mom's milk tea into a bubble tea. I would say a good spot if you fancy Vietnamese restaurant when in little neck. The seafood is fresh, big and clean and you can tell they spend lots of time process the seafood. The pho my sis ordered is quite yummy. But the rice noodles I ordered is kinda raw and the soup is a bit flavorless. The beef pairs with rice is yummy. The beef is well marinated and cooked well. Just okay. I've never met a bowl of pho that I didn't like, but this place missed the mark for me. The broth was extremely concentrated and I suspect that whoever was assembling this bowl didn't put enough plain broth to dilute the flavoring because it was extremely salty and sweet. It tasted exactly how that sounds.. the staff was so nice and offered to dilute the broth, but I suspect they added a bunch of water because then it became tasteless. There was no depth to it. Once diluted, the flavors tasted more like a Taiwanese beef noodle soup than pho, and the braised beef slices also resemble beef noodle soup. The only good part of this dish was that the restaurant was very generous with the toppings. Again, the staff was very sweet and tried their best. The soup is flavorful that you can choose not to put in the condiment and its still tasty, unlike a few other Pho places I tried in the past where its bland. their eye of round (raw beef) was mixed in with the soup which cooks it, if you prefer it separate, you have to let them know on the phone. I only ordered from here once, not sure if its common practice for them to put raw beef in the soup when its mean to be raw!
