Food decent usually and average price. Have had undercooked squid in the seafood soup, customer service is generally horrible. Inattentive to basic water refills. Staff will replace spices on table reaching over you and your food dish in the middle of your meal. Common sense, ask or wait to top off the spice containers. read more

Delicious Pho broths. I had the BBQ pork and my husband got the special. We also ordered some sesame balls. Everything was delicious, service needs some work at being attentive but people are really nice. We then ordered some fruit smoothies with bobbas. Delicious!!! Will definitely go back. read more

I tried the shrimp pho and it's pretty tasty. The reason I'm giving it a 3 is because I tried the drunken noodles and the taste was horrible. I ordered to go and they smelled delicious. However, when I got home and opened the container, the noodles were swimming in a pool of oil. I had ordered the noodles with shrimp. The noodles had some weird looking white stuff. I'm not sure if it was egg, but it sure didn't look like egg. I ended up throwing them away. I definitely do not recommend their "Thai" food. read more

I love Pho. However when I visit my family in Madera and I want pho, "Pho'dera is we're I end up especially since the next awesome Pho spot is in this area is in Fresno, which is 25 min away. Anyway the chicken pho is good but not the best, The beef stew is horrible, My favorites on the menu are the rare steak pho, The Vietnamese ice coffee and Thai tea is delicious. One thing that definitely keeps me coming back is the customer service. They are welcoming, very nice and always checking if you need anything with a smile. read more

I frequent Madera a lot for work and finally decided to stop in today after high recommendations from coworkers. So we all met up for lunch today. It's typical of most Vietnamese Pho joints with funky decor. We all ordered Pho. We were all looking forward to our hot bowls, piled on all the fixins, and dug in. Well one of my coworkers suddenly spit out one of the meatballs and said that it tasted sour. The rest of us tried ours and yes, it was ridiculously tangy. Acid like almost. She informed the owner, but he didn't do anything. She on the other hand did not want to waste food and so she removed the few items and kept eating until she found a very long strand of black hair in her bowl. GROSS!! I finally spoke up and the owner asked her to order something else. All in all the experience was pretty bad. Most owners would've comped her a free meal to make up for things, but he chose to charge her for the bowl of pho and not for the rice dish she ordered because he says (insert stereotypical asian voice here) "I not charge full price for rice, I only charge you for pho". The owner later admitted to me in vietnamese that the meatballs that were served to us had been out for over a week. I will never return to this crappy joint again. read more

I was contacted by someone associated with his business. They stated that the review on the outside of the business was irrelevant. In fact this is all relevant. They explained that the outside smell was due to a sewer in the area. They tried to explain that my opinion does not matter and I can't base my opinion on the outside smell. Well clearly it was based on my whole experience and the smell of the outside was factored into it. They also stated that it's madera the city is "DIRTY". They also stated they are not in the business of "comp"ing people for a hair because of "scammers". Well I'm sorry that the business is too cheap to comp the customer to make it right. Clearly anyone who's had a hair in their soup is a "scammer". There are clearly more reviews from other patrons at this establishment who has had hair in their food. They chose not to comp me or apologize for the service. The only thing they did was criticize me for a review I submitted. I will not be going to this establishment again and I will definitely let others know about this establishment. They also sent me a message "Oh no! Don't do it....Haha! Go ahead! Your review clearly doesn't matter. Are you mad because I'm pointing out the stupidity in your review? The useless comments about the water that is connected to the city that the owners have no control of! Usually people comment about the food and experience. NOT THE OUTSIDE. Feel free to state your opinion. I'm a very faithful customer and they have very faithful customers from all over madera county. My wife and I come here at least once a week to get our Pho fix. I'm British, and my wife is half Filipino and she gives it the thumbs up also. Now this place doesn't look much from the outside, but don't let that fool you. Clean seating area, with friendly and helpful staff. Not to mention the food is excellent. We get the same thing every time we come so can't really comment on the other dishes, but the chicken and beef Pho is great every time. My wife rates the Boba tea very highly as well. Apart from the quality, it's very, very reasonable price wise too. If you're in Madera or passing by on the freeway, this is a great option for food. read more

I never wanted to ask for a tip refund before this experience. Granted, I didn't ask. But after ordering, paying and tipping at the counter, watching the after school-rush taper down and leave, and waiting over 30 minutes for my food, my two young kids' food was obviously forgotten. To top it off, they packaged our "for here" order to-go, so my kids couldn't even eat it after waiting forever. Had never been so disappointed to visit and support a local business. They seemed super focused on boba drinks, but I am super bummed to have waited and then given bagged entrees, especially since they were so busy with what seemed like regular customers. I can liteally order anything off the menu and enjoy it (with the exception of orange chicken, which is ok) the all meat special is one of ny favorite my things to order, but any pho tastes just as good. Since I moved to Madera I have been driving by this place from work everyday and my co-worker who also lives here says it is the only Pho restaurant in town and that it is good. I finally got a day without any kids or wife so I decided to try it out. It was not busy at all, maybe because it was friday and it was homecoming day for Madera High School which is just down the street from them. I ordered what I knew best, the Pho Bo, it was really good! I was enjoying my large bowl and I added all the fixing to it. Of course I was only able to finish the meat and noodles but had to leave half of the broth, it was very fulfilling. I wish I had taken the rest of that broth in a to-go cup (which they will do). I was also pretty happy with the price, I could have done well with a little bit more meat then what they gave me but everything was just spot on. I wouldn't say this was the best I have ever had, that title still belongs to the first place I've ever been to but I was a close second place. Visitors also have the option of coming in to order their Vietnamese Iced Teas to go; many people take advantage of their to-go menu. I always order the #22 which is the shrimp rice noodle soup. It isn't heavy and taste delicious and fresh. The food is always good and you can't beat the prices. I've tried other pho places in Southern California and this place beats them hands down read more

Had the 16 and the 18 on a wed afternoon. Service was great and food met expectations. I really liked the coconut boba that was suggested by the waiter. Bathrooms were extremely clean. I don't have any suggestions on how to make this place better besides putting more pics on the menu. read more

I usually eat here often, because phodera tastes better than the pho places in fresno. I almost always order the #10 rare steak and brisket pho. I like that they don't use msg in the food. It is priced at $5.99 for a bowl of pho which I think its priced about right. The service is also good and consistent. I wish portion size was slightly bigger. But they do have a large bowl for more money. I am not really sure about the other dishes but the Pho is the best here. So definitely try the pho its the main specialty here. read more
