Such a lovely little cafe. Limited seating, about 5 booths and a few tables so maybe avoid lunch and breakfast rush if you intend to dine in. We stopped because a friend recommended it and despite being in the area often, I wouldn't have noticed it otherwise, tucked away in the southern part of Olympia. Still, it's a much try for the taste buds ESPECIALLY if you love sweets - cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, scones, pies, even specialty cakes, made to order. If you need something more substantial, they also have sandwiches, pot pies, quiches, salads, etc. Coffee's really just a bonus at this point. read more

This place is kinda shabby and has convenience store for office workers vibes, but the food they serve is on point. The best cakes I've had in Olympia can be found here. That's not the greatest compliment, since mostly if you want a slice of cake, you gotta get it in the bakery of the grocery store and those cakes are overladen with frosting, but the fact that they use whipped cream icing on the cakes elevates their cake slices above the rest. The people are nice and very helpful, but the only thing I have against this place is they definitely just cater to the office crowd, because they are open in the morning and close at 3pm. If you're jonesing for cake like I am somedays, you're not going to get it after work, so they lose a star for that. I like that they have frozen pies, both in fruit and savory styles, so I'm going to have to try that. read more

I came in a few days ago to check the place out and get some pastries and coffee. The pastries were great! The chai was okay, but the two stars are solely dedicated to the young man who was at the counter. He was friendly at first and greeted me nicely, but I started to feel very uncomfortable very quickly. He very clearly kept looking at my chest and kept trying to ask me very personal questions despite me trying to politely bursh him off and speak about the food and coffee that they had there. I am all for friendly staff and good conversation, but this became creepy and he was not taking the hint that I was uncomfortable. I would definitely not come in again if I saw that he was there. read more

I can't say enough good things about Phoebe and her team. I've ordered a few custom (and quite silly) birthday cakes from her bakery and she hits it out of the park every time. Crave-able pastries - the cherry hand pie, chocolate eclairs and selection of cookies our families favorite. We have also ordered birthday cakes and the selection of mousse cakes are delicious. Back to the hand pies....the pie crust takes me back to my mom and grandmothers pies -- full butter, flaky and wonderful with an excellent. flavor. Great pastries!! Their king cake in 2024 was even better than 2023 version. So much better and fresher than getting shipped.

I haven't actually been here, but my sister brought a cheese ball and chicken pot pie to a family gathering...and it was so delicious that I had to look this place up (& leave a review!). Wow!! My wife works right next-door and was having salad at the picnic table before going in to get coffee. The owner open the front door of the business and yelled at my wife. Are you gonna be a paying customer today? We have gone to this location for years. I don't think a blonde 30-year-old in medical scrubs is hindering your business. This is one way to lose business. But she still went in and purchased coffee after the confrontation. My wife will no longer go to this café. read more

I drove from Seattle to meet a friend here on a Monday. Nothing in your hours says that you are closed Mondays. That was annoying.

I come here very often at my lunch time and the coffee is delicious, but pricey for an americano. I have been happy with the customer service until after the pandemic closures... The last two times I have been in there has been very short and snippy comments made about questions I had and today I asked for a cup of ice as my iced americano had VERY little ice and the barista told me that she would have to charge for the cup since they aren't doing dishes. I guess I should have just asked her to remake my iced drink WITH ice. It probably would have been cheaper to just give me ice? But what do I know. I am really bummed to lose my lunchtime hang out spot, but I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

This place is AMAZE BALLS. It is a little cafe tucked in a business park. I had a meeting there last week and had delicious coffee and a savory breakfast biscuit. I also took some items with me for lunch. Prices were reasonable, everything was fresh and nicely displayed, and EVERY single person working there was friendly and helpful. I'm here on vacation and was looking for a local coffee house. Came across this gem and they have the nicest people working here! My husband and I ordered their blueberry scone and caramel oatmeal bar with their yummy house drip coffee. These pastries are amazing...especially when you heat up the scone first. They have a good amount of seating and comfortable couches for a relaxed setting and ambiance. I would come back here any day! read more

Came in with some coworkers for a quick lunch in between meetings. No one had ever been to Phoebe's before so we were all excited to try something new. I got a turkey guac sandwich for 6.99 that was then warmed up. It was smaller then I thought and the guac did not warm up well. I was able to eat about half of it but the rest tasted like I was just eating straight mayo. I did get a slice of carrot cake that was good but the cookie I got for my mom wasn't fresh. Not sure when it was put into the little cellophane bag but tasted like it was made on Sunday and I was eating it on Wednesday. My coworkers thought it was okay. One of them got a slice of cake that she thought had multiple layers of cake but instead it was a heavy mousse, not the same thing. I want to try their pastries but was slightly worried about the freshness of them since they had so much product left over at 1 in the afternoon. Made me wonder if they were going to throw away all of the leftover breakfast pastries or sell them the next day. Not sure but will have to come back in and see. The service was great but 18 bucks for a lunch sandwich, a small piece of cake and a stale cookie seemed a bit pricey. I will stick to my normal lunch spots. read more

No complaints here, I had the turkey panini sandwich with havarti and cranberry cream cheese, it was good. The I got a slice of the lemon cake to take back home to share with my kids. My kids and I thought it was light, fluffy and the vanilla cake was moist and delicious with the lemon mousse filling. It's a bit pricey tho, but worth it. read more
