My food was amazing! There wasn't one thing that I didn't love. I had falafel and gyro first and then a chicken kabob that came with rice and hummus and pita which was homemade and cooked in a really nice pita oven! And then for dessert I had coconut macaroons! Loved it all! The owners are so incredibly nice and know what they are doing because everything was outstanding! I definitely recommend this place and I don't see how anyone could not love the food and the very nice people! What a gem! We went here tonight and everything was outstanding. Started with the zataar and feta and lebnee and it might be my favorite combo ever. Then split the veggie combo and the meat combo. Everything was so delicious, so fresh...seriously a new favorite restaurant. Plus an amazing belly dancer came through towards the end of the meal - such an incredible experience! All I can say is this place has delicious food!! We have been looking for a good Middle Eastern restaurant, specifically a Lebanese restaurant and this is it. My husband is Middle Eastern and has eaten the food most of his life, so I was delighted when his eyes lit up and he said this food reminds him of the food from home. We met the owner who was extremely nice and hospitable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Just an FYI they make their baked goods so definitely try them! read more

Went exploring along Colfax for dinner options when we stumbled across Phoenician Kabob, and we were happy we did. Started with the baba ghanouj, which was smoky and creamy, served with baskets of their fabulous pita bread. Had the kafta kabob plate, a great choice, the meat was flavorful and well seasoned, served with salad and rice. My date had the chicken shawarma sandwich, also another great option. Service was attentive, the waiters were very friendly and personable. Nice atmosphere, made for a great date night. Look forward to going back soon! read more

I am giving Phoenician Kebab 4 stars today and not 5 because their food is inconsistent. When its good, its reeeeeeeeally good. But sometimes, the food is left to sit and the meat is dry. I really like the staff. The owner is kind and gracious. I really love going here but every once in a while, it could be better. I have had many great meals here, however. I do think its a real asset to the Colfax neighborhood. read more

I hate giving it a 2 star rating, cuz I've smelled it around lunch time and salivated like a dog. But- my take-away food was less than stellar. My gyro was sloppy and wet, and the meat was weird and spongy. Maybe they're best fresh? I dunno yet. Either way, I wouldn't recommend the gyros for take-away unless you like your sandwiches wet. read more

Dang, Yelp. You really let me down! How does this place average four stars? I'm not one to spend massive amounts of time tearing restaurants to shreds, so I'll keep this as short as possible. I ordered take-out from here the other night, and the food was, in a word, disgusting. My vegetarian combo included the worst falafel I've ever eaten. It was dry as a bone, hard as a rock, and ice cold after a 5 minute drive from the restaurant. The hummus was soupy, and I was shorted a salad which was to be included with the order. The grape leaves were awful, and the white rice couldn't be more bland. The rest of my group ordered overly priced chicken schwarma and meat combos. Again, it was bland and really just gross. The chicken tasted like it was marinated in Italian dressing and the meat was very low quality. I felt terrible about the whole thing, as I told the group how reliable Yelp is, and that everything pointed to a great experience ahead. Boy, was I wrong. I would give this place one star, but the wait staff was pleasant, and it's a nice touch to have belly dancers (even though I didn't get to indulge based on my take-out order). Also, the naan bread was halfway decent. That said, I won't be back again. read more

We were looking for affordable and flavorful and this hit the spot. I ordered the sultan plate and after it was dropped I wondered what WASNT on the plate. Every bit of it was succulent and delicious. The service was friendly and fast, and after we explained that we wanted a leisurely dinner our server slowed down the pace for us. If we had wanted to eat quickly that would have been possible too. Four stars rather than five because we recently returned from Istanbul. read more

We went for lunch. Less than stellar to say the least. The lentil soup was kind of mushy and flavorless. Beef schwarma was chewy and the salad that came with it wasn't very fresh. The eggplant sandwich was also not so great. Really thick, chewy pieces with not a lot of other ingredients in the sandwich. The server noticed I didn't like it, didn't charge us and gave us some hummus and pita. This was also pretty flavorless and unappealing. Besides the service, this place wasn't good. What a elegant place and best prepared middle eastern food. Freshly backed pita bread with their hummus and felafel is the best in the city if not the best in the country. One suggestion if you are heading there ask them to bring the bread ASAP because it is not and melts in your mouth. I tried lamb shank and I highly recommend it. We are for sure going back. Very good service, the pita was served still puffed and hot! The Food was presented very nicely and the restaurant had a nice ambience.

This place never fails to impress. Food is very good. Drinks are good too. Service is always on point. Ambience is even a bonus.

I called to place a take-out order at 8:30 and they told me their kitchen was closed. Their posted hours say they are open until 10.

I want to love this place, but after giving it two tries I can only give them 3 stars. I'd go 3.5 if it was possible, but alas its not. Everything about their mennu and dishes is fantastic, with the important exception that I have found their kabob meat impossibly dry on both occassions. My children and I were taking an urban walk and decided to try Phoenician Kabob for lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
