It was actually a little difficult to even see the menu. The menu was relatively small, but I ended up ordering their Aftermath Burger, which they told me is an award-winning burger. I liked the presentation, with three different sauces and the fries served in a cup. However, the burger was way too salty for my taste, and the bun was too crumbly and kept falling apart. Overall, I had a good experience here, and the waitresses were very friendly and helpful.

The only thing that we don't really like was the Reuben egg roll; the filling was good, but the wrapper wasn't crispy and was kind of soggy. We felt like our presence was an inconvenience simply because we came in an hour before closing. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for it. We ordered the beef skewers and a burger. The skewers were okay, but they were not nearly as good as we remembered them being. The burger, however, arrived completely cold. What makes this especially disappointing is that we used to really enjoy coming here. We understand that being close to closing time can be frustrating for a restaurant, but customers should still feel welcomed, especially when they are coming in well before closing and have supported the restaurant in the past. We really hope this was just a bad night, because we genuinely used to love coming here. But after this experience, we unfortunately left feeling very disappointed.

Also took 50min for food to arrive and they were not busy. I don't like leaving reviews like this so trusting this doesn't impact anyone negatively but brings awareness for positive change.

Once again ; another bad experience here today at Phoenix city grille. The waitress today with the the glasses and dark hair came to take my order and when I asked for the parsnips that I ALWAYS get she said we don't have those and I said can u ask someone cuz I been getting them for years and she got angry and said she will see what she can do and walked away clearly peeved !!! She came back out of the kitchen and just kept walking by totally ignoring me and taking other people's orders and avoiding me altogether - finally I went up to the man bartender and I said hey do u still have those parsnips he said we do yes ! I said well that waitress said u don't and I proceeded to tell him that aj was really rude to me. He said oh sorry about that. I said that's ok I will walk over to blue water grille next door and eat there. And so here I sit at blue water grille with happy and the most welcoming people here and I am happy as could be sitting here with friendly staff smiling !!! Last weekend, my wife and in-laws visited Phoenix City Grille for the first time after hearing some great things about it from some friends of ours. Our dinner was in one word...wonderful. They had a weekend special that I tried. Buffalo Shortribs... I had never had Buffalo ribs before, but the server sold me on them when she talked about how lean they were and how the chef had taken time to make sure they were juicy and not dried since they were so lean. The rest of my party enjoyed their entrees as well. Wife had the Pot Roast which looked delicious and both of my in-laws had the Cedar Planked Salmon. Nice wine selection. The service was very good and the atmosphere was very pleasant. However, the evening was topped off with what may have been the best dessert that I have had in a long time. We all shared a serving of the Croissant Bread Pudding and I was very disappointed that four of us shared it because I could have eaten one myself. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great evening out. read more

My two girlfriends and I had the best time at Phoenix City Grill during happy hour! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming--perfect for catching up over great food and wine. We sat at the bar where Max was our server and bartender, and he truly made the experience special. When we asked if we could order just a half glass of wine, Max smiled and said, "We serve whatever you order." That simple, friendly gesture set the tone for the evening! We shared the short rib sliders and Carne Asada tacos, and wow--both were absolutely delicious. The sliders were rich and flavorful, and the tacos had the perfect balance of spice and tenderness. The portions were just right for sharing, and everything came out fresh and beautifully presented. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Shoutout to Max for the excellent service--he's a gem! Phoenix City Grill is now officially one of our favorite spots for a girls' night out. read more

As a first timer in this establishment, I have no idea what I was walking into. Although I didn't expect anything and just go with it, I'm a little skeptical. A friend invited me and another friend here for some bonding time and we have a little catching up to do. The atmosphere was really nice and the place looks well maintained. We had the short rib and shrimp appetizers and they're very delicious. We ordered vegetables plate and added salmon skewers, the salmon was unbelievably delicious. The salmon is the reason I will come back. If there's a little complaint it's that the server seems a little uninterested, I get that it's a little busy that day but we didn't even got any explanation or recommendations for the items in the menu given it's our first time eating here. Maybe I'm just nitpicking, but I hope to get a better service next time we come. read more

We just love the Phoenix City Grill! So, for years now a bunch of people from our church would just bombard the Phoenix City Grill on Sunday night for a late dinner....sometimes we had up to 20 people with us and the Grill always accommodated us with great food and service. Now, I just have to tell you this story: Friday night we had our son's high school graduation and we invited our family and friends with us to the grill afterwards. It was 9:45pm when we showed up with 17 people and the Grill closes at 10pm...they stayed open for us! That's what a GREAT restaurant does! We had a lovely time having an impromptu celebration and the Grill served wonderful appetizers - highly recommend the cheese dip, tacos, and sliders! I booked PCG for our department's holiday lunch this year. I have never booked with them before and the process was extremely easy. We were only a small group of 15 this year and the private room worked great for us. We enjoyed 5 different appetizers before lunch (all were delicious) and everyone was able to order straight from the all-day menu, which was great. We also ordered one of each dessert and, again, all were delicious but my favorite was hands down the bread pudding. The whole process was easy and convenient and the event ran smoothly. Have been coming here for about 4 years. The food has always been delicious. Our personal favorites are the Butter Lettuce Wedge, the 16th Street Beef Short Rib, the Smoked Baby Back Ribs, the Rose Lane Chicken and the Turkey Reuben. Their croissant bread pudding is also one of the best desserts I've ever had. The service can be hit or miss, but we've never had any major issues. I feel like a restaurant really needs to be perfect to get 5 stars. I would say this is more of a 4.4 star review. They are consistently very good. A shout out to PCG for a great Easter meal. There was a mixup in our reservation and they totally made it right. Excellent and personable wait staff, great food. I loved the Baja Shrimp over coconut rice, and others loved the ribs, burgers, and brunch pancakes. A specialty dessert of chocolate cherry cheesecake was perfectly sublime and not too sweet. PCG has always and consistently provided excellent food and service. There may be other new restaurants in the area, yet PCG is like the best of home and eating out combined! read more

The Phoenix Grille is a great restaurant that not only serves the general public but also has meeting rooms for businesses. Pre-planning with Private Dining director Brittnee was very easy and service the night of the event with Sonia was perfect. I ordered the Firehouse Chili, which was just fair. It had large, tender chunks of beef, but the overall flavor was pretyy much so-so. I make better chili at home. Such a stylish restaurant with a great selection. From the Corey's salad to Shelly's pumpkin cheesecake, you really can't go wrong with anything! Der wurst menu looks amazing. Went with the magnum sausage and it was delicious. Definitely would be ordered again. Live music in such a small space was surprising. Conversations had to stop it was so loud. Luckily they have more space next door if you want to talk with your buddies.

Absolutely love this spot! Tucked away in the backyard of the tap house, this food truck is hands-down one of my favorite places to grab a bite. As regulars we are super stoked to have a consistent tasty food truck to enjoy! The food is consistently delicious--fresh, flavorful, and made with real care and LOVE! Every time I come here, I try something new and it never disappoints. Tonight was steak Friday! What a treat. The meat was melt in your mouth tasty and full of flavor. Happy Fri-yay!! The frites on the side were crispy, hot and flavorful! As a regular, I can honestly say the quality and service are always top-notch. The vibe of enjoying amazing food outdoors with a great craft beer in hand just can't be beat. It's the perfect combo of chill atmosphere and seriously good eats. If you haven't checked it out yet, you're missing out. This place is a gem in our Arizona desert! :)

The food options are great too. I ordered the fried chicken after hearing so many good things about it. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown for me. It was super crispy and juicy, but also really salty, which kind of overpowered the flavor. The mac & cheese was pretty basic, but the Matador and breakfast sandwich were both solid choices. And don't forget to check out the ice cream shop next door! They have some really good flavors. Overall, still a great spot for brunch, drinks, and an amazing deal.

It's right off Bethany Home and I pulled into the front where there were no available spots. I'd seen on another review that they had a lot in the back so I found that and parked but then couldn't find the entrance from the back so I walked around. As soon as I walked in I realized I had come on the wrong night (for me) because they had trivia going. I sat at the bar and looked over the cocktail menu. The drink names were cute and funny and I landed on the sucker punch which was supposed to have Tito's but later found out they didn't have Titos...the bartender didn't even tell me he used Pearl vodka I. The first drink until i ordered a Tito's and soda and he said they don't have Tito's. So that is why I gave 4 stars. The trivia looked fun and some players next to me asked me to help them out. The drink was good and there was a nice neighborly vibe. It was a cool spot maybe I'll try again when they don't have trivia. I did leave through the back to the parking lot. It's way in the corner and hard to see.
