The brand new I-phone turned out to be very susceptible to water damage- I never submerged mine, but the moisture made it totally non-functional. Very disappointed that these guys took $90 from me to replace the screen on my iPhone 5S, then disclaimed any responsibility for the fact that iTouch no longer works. If they really knew what they were doing, and had decent ethics, they could have explained that up-front. It's a well-known phenomenon (see https://www.google.com/search?q=replace+iphone+5s+home+button+touch+id&oq=replace+iphone+5s+home+button&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8), but what they said was basically, "sorry, maybe your home key is bad too." While I cannot say I totally wasted my money since the phone is at least working again, I immediately ordered a new phone to replace it. iTouch functionality is hard to live without once you get used to it. Caveat emptor with this place - they have some modest skills but don't expect anything like what you'd get from a real Apple tech. I unfortunately should have chosen to replace my phone instead of just the screen at PhoneFix. I signed the waiver before the job was started. Excited to leave on my driving trip, I picked up the phone and left for a 2 day driving trip. Upon leaving the wifi area of the store, the phone would only connect intermittently with cell service/towers. Zero communications while I was out of town--umpf. Back to PhoneFix for a repair to the repair--pmay with SIM card and frame...which seemed to fix it but only for an hour--would work in wifi areas but not cell areas. Another 2 days of zero communication and I went to my phone store (Spectrum) to see if they could tell if it was a software, hardware or connectivity issue. They immediately noticed the new screen because it was not sealed around the edges...which could cause damage to the internal hardware. I had already spent $236 at Phoenix hoping to not go through the hassle of switching apps, Outlook, contacts, photos etc to a new one, but had lost confidence in PhoneFix when we saw the gap between the phone body and new screen which I had not noticed before. I do not know why my phone worked fine with the original cracked111 screen, bit it didn't work after the new screen was installed. I called the Phone Fix Center to request a quote to have my iPad Pro battery replaced. I had spoken to Randy who was not only polite but was very informative regarding the time it take to replace this type battery. The price he quoted was more than reasonable but unfortunately he didn't have that particular battery in stock. He said he'd call as soon as he gets one in. True to his word, two days later he called and we set up a time to bring my iPad in. Later that day, I returned to pick up my fully "charged" iPad. I live in Los Angeles and I was up in Lake Tahoe on vacation when my phone suddenly died. The first place I went to replaced the screen, but it was defective. They then tried to put another screen on it, but the phone wouldn't start and they said it may have problems with the mother boarrd. I then found the PhoneFix Center on Yelp and decided to take my phone there. The owner, Randy, was so helpful. It ended up just needing a new screen, but he spent so much time working with it. The price was very reasonable and he even invited my mom to come sit inside his workroom as it was hot outside. If I ever run into a problem with my phone while I'm up here again, I'll definitely go back to the PhoneFix Center. I only wish they were in LA! read more

UPDATE #2 The most critical test of any business is how they perform when something goes wrong. I had an issue with my phone after the screen was replaced, but I was out of state. No problem, I overnighted the phone to Phone Fix Center, Randy the owner got on it immediately, solved the problem, and overnighted my phone back to me. This place ROCKS! UPDATE The manager contacted me the next day. He expressed his regret that our phone was not working and also frustration that his Tech had not gone through the checklist of functions on the phone before they returning it to us. Yes that we bring it back the next day and told us that he would make everything good. We went the next day and he repaired the phone. Everything is working as it should now. I originally gave them one star I'm increasing that to three stars only because of the extra time I had to waste going back a second time. Otherwise I'd give them 4 stars. _____________________________________________ I took my HTC One M-8 in to repair a broken screen. When I picked up my phone two hours later the screen was repaired beautifully, however several other functions that were working perfectly when I dropped my phone off no longer work. The tap to wake function on the screen no longer works, and I can't make phone calls because I can either hear the person on the other end nor can they hear me. Superb service ! I took my Samsung S6 phone in to evaluate its lack of battery life. The phone is 2.5 years old. I did not have an appointment and yet it was repaired with a new battery in 2 hours. It turns out the battery was defective and the battery life was not improved. I was told to bring it back at my convenience and they would replace the battery while I waited. Done and Done, with NO CHARGE for the new battery! Now it is working fine and the battery is holding its charge.
