$20, +2 lbs, WAGYU BEEF PHO. Apr 2026
    Alex D.

My go to order is the traditional beef pho for those cold days or when I'm sick. It's pretty good and the portions are huge, you get over 2 lbs of soup. It lacks authentic touch tough, as compared to those mom and pop vietnamese restaurants. Never dined in, always pick up. You can park in the Trader Joe's garage with the Poinsettia and Fuller entrances but I believe you get only 1 hr free or you can try Romaine for free street parking.

Discovered this spot from a TikTok suggesting this as a stop along a WeHo happy hour crawl. They have a daily 3-6 pm happy hour that has a lot of great deals on drinks, appetizers, and even their raw bar. The service was really great, and we happened to come on a day that they were promoting Estrella beer, so we got some free samples. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Oysters were really good, the spring rolls were eh, and we got basic drinks but he vibe of the bar was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

found this little gem on my way to trader joe's.. its right next door. so i jumped in and they recommended this sandwich... its probably the best BANH MI i've ever had.... full of flavor and very filling... yum!!

Just a big and plentiful bowl of deliciousness! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in a very convenient area for shopping and people watching, I sat on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hostess and waiter were very attentive. The waiter was personable and thoughtful, not just to me but to all of his guests. I ordered the oxtail pho which came as a decent size serving. The meat just fell off the bone and was tender and meshed perfectly with the other flavors in the dish. Very good.

Stopped by Phorage for a quick bite - They offer happy hour M-F for some drink and food specials. The vibes of this restaurant is perfect. Natural light, lots of seating, fun decor, and neon lights. They have a large bar that serves liquor, natural wine, and beer. I got the shrimp and pork spring roll minus the pork. The rice paper was super soft which I appreciate and the shrimp was large. What I didn't love was the lack of herbs included in the spring roll. It was mainly lettuce and not enough mint. I actually couldn't taste the mint at all. The peanut sauce also didn't taste authentic. One of the reviews said it had mayo in it? I think Phorage is worth checking out during happy hour so you can try a couple things on the menu and decide what you like. Super cute and vibey restaurant!

Beef wagyu pho with tendon added

Outrageous price but the amount of meat and the quality of the noodle is sufficient to make me give this place a 3 star. Probably would not come back to this place for pho but it is convenient having a parking lot next to Trader Joe's. She was unable to sub out brisket for tendon, despite me not eating brisket, but was able to add more steak instead of the brisket. The interior seems roomy and would be a nice place to eat a meal with friends or family. Plenty of street parking around the corner if you don't wanna go into the underground lot.

Great lil spot with delicious food and great vibes PROS------- ATMOSPHERE: I was surprised how cool the interior is. Dark, vibey, intimate, modern, great music. Love it SERVICE: Our waitress was great! Very attentive and quick with a kind personality who helped us with anything we needed FOOD: We ordered a lot and everything was great! My favorite is the oxtail pho and the pork skewers. Definitely try those!

Pho-rage completely brought us back to life. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by happy hour and smiling faces. Carlos and the crew made sure we were more than taken care of. Best recommendations got the lemon grass, fire and papaya salad, highly recommend the Thai tea. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe inside is great stereo system is awesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They even had movies playing for 100% be back with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Over $20 for a portion of pork (untouched yet in picture) smaller than a $2 street taco, generic Sysco lettuce , and old bean sprouts. It's cold too. And the food and ingredients are super mediocre, just not good food, period. I genuinely feel robbed.

The first bite gives you that textbook contrast chefs chase: a thin, savory Maillard snap, then cool, silky flesh that still tastes of the sea rather than smoke, which tells me it was hit hard over heat to render the skin and pulled off at the precise moment before the proteins tightened. Grilled lemon halves, their edges caramelized, are doing real work here--squeezes of that charred citrus cut through the fish's natural oiliness--while the thin ribbons of pickled red onion and peppery microgreens supply the bright, acidic punctuation that keeps the palate moving. Slices of avocado act as a soft, creamy foil, lengthening the finish without smothering the fish, and the halved cherry‑tomato salad looks lightly dressed so you get clean sweetness and a crisp counterpoint rather than a soggy, overdressed side. From a technical standpoint I appreciate the fundamentals: even scoring or oiling of the skin to prevent sticking, careful timing so the flakes separate cleanly, and a sparing hand with seasoning so the brine of the fish isn't lost under salt or heavy sauces. Many places feel compelled to gild seafood with every trendy condiment; here, the restraint is refreshing and, frankly, rarer than it should be. Service matched the cooking: friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to steer us through the menu with solid recommendations, which matters when a kitchen is doing delicious things well. The restaurant itself is calm and clean, a peaceful setting with a bar that lets the food speak, and last time I was there they were in the process of securing a beer and wine license--good news, because this kind of balanced, grill‑forward cooking benefits from a thoughtful pour. In short, this meal stands out because it trusts the ingredient: confident grilling, smart acid, and honest accompaniments that clarify rather than compete, leaving you satisfied and already thinking about the next visit. As for the house-made salsa: stainless ramekins on a white plate, each with its own tiny spoon - bright yellow emulsion, lacquered dark reduction, smoky-red chile purée, and a chunky herb relish. The emulsion is silky and tangy, perfect for cutting fat; the dark sauce is sticky, umami-forward and built to cling; the red one carries smoke on oil and is medium-hot; the relish snaps with fresh acid and crunch. Important heads-up: one of these is a ghost-pepper style salsa - extremely spicy, slow-building and long-lingering, so use it as a finish, not a dunk. Execution is tidy: no broken emulsion, measured viscosities, portioned so flavors don't bleed - practical, disciplined work. In an era of one-trick "house sauce" laziness, this quartet gives you tools, not excuses, and it elevates whatever's on the grill without stealing the show. I'll definitely be back here!

Good portion for $28. Mango habanero hot sauce takes the ceviche up a notch with its tropical flavor. Grilled Kanpachi taco is my favorite of all the tacos. Fish is grilled with care, well preserving the moisture and natural sweetness. Had to get a second grilled kanpachi taco after devouring 4 different tacos already. Rib eye taco is quite amazing too. Love the satisfaction from a well grilled fatty steak. The rib eye itself is sliced to thin pieces but I still get the sensation of biting into chunks of meat. Love the idea that the seasoning is competed with pickled onions and salsa as opposed to just seasoning the meat Baja fish and shrimp are more forgetful. Would come again for the tacos absolutely.

Another 5 minutes later and we were seated. It took a while for a server to get to our table and when he did, I think he was upset he had to be at work? Or maybe it was us- but we had just been sat and didn't say any words? He was not the kindest or the most hospitable server. In fact, our food runner gave more warmth than he did. After he took our food orders, I don't recall him even coming back to the table other than to drop off the bill. If he had come back, we would have asked for another round of cocktails and another bottle of mineral water... but he did not, so we did not. Our appetizer dishes stayed on the table after being done with them and even *through* our main courses. So at the end, there was a massive amount of dishes on the table to be cleared. What was particularly annoying was watching how the other servers nearby were interacting with their tables. One even had to break the news to the diners that they were closing and as he did, he seemed genuinely sad over the shared moment but also very lively and that he wanted to be there. I wish he was our server :( I was interested in desserts or finishing with something sweet, but the thought of being ignored for a while longer was too much. I had ice cream at home. We left and quickly made our way into the awaiting Uber.

Meanwhile, the public parking structure directly across the street is a $5 flat rate for the entire day on weekdays. Our bill came out to over $1K. To be limited on the dining time and charged an outrageous parking fee feels like extortion.
