Cute Thai restaurant that you can usually dine in at without a wait with great prices and even better service. They have a small parking lot but I've always been able to find a spot. Their Pad Thai is SO freaking good. I absolutely loved it and haven't been able to find a perfect pad thai since moving from Chicago. Finally, I have and I'm so happy about it. I had chicken in my noodle dish and was happy it was moist & tasty. I liked the pad thai so much, I couldn't even order a different dish when I was in Joom Bangkok again last night. I live Thai food and was genuinely excited to try this place. I ordered them from Postmates-- veggies with ginger and I specifically asked for soft tofu. What was delivered was soggy, gross fried tofu. Inedible. After letting Postmates know, I called the restaurant the following day to tell them what happened. I did not ask for a refund, but they were even unwilling to make me a new dish even tho they botched my original order. Deeply unfair and poor business practice. I gave them a chance to right the wrong and they flat out rejected it. Definitely will not be going back. Waste of hard-earned money. read more

walked in and was immediately greeted by Audrey! she gave us our choice of seating as it wasn't too busy. i gravitated towards their dinner special - it's 16.99 for an appetizer, soup or salad and a choice of entree (selection varies but they had a good amount to choose from). while this is a good deal with variety, keep in mind portions are significantly smaller / less than, this is great for individual meals and only for dine in! the Tom Kha is sweet but savory, coconut flourishes in the dish and it came out at the perfect temperature. the chicken Pad Thai noodles have a lil bounce to em and they pair great with their thai tea! i had a pleasant dinner experience here thanks to Audrey and their quality of food and ingredients! read more

Just ordered this for takeout/delivery dinner due to the DoorDash ratings and featured spot to try! Definitely a fast delivery and food seems fresh and very tasty. They also packaged it very well especially the hot ginger tea (not pictured) I'm only disappointed in the salad dressing which I got peanut dressing and it's way too think and not the dressing I was anticipating from prior dressing experiences. However everything else is so good and great shareable portions. It's so much that some of this will definitely be a super midnight snack and or leftovers lol Also other complaint is the temperature of the fried vegetable spring rolls but they make up in their taste I am not sure what the ambiance and service is like but they did forget my note of utensils and napkins and reading is fundamental for sure because I didn't know they cashews were in the pineapple fried rice, good thing I'm not allergic but wish they had more options to select what you didn't want in a dish Overall definitely would order again and eventually explore what the dine-in experience is like read more

I've passed by this place for years. About a month ago, my friends and I finally tried it to go. They ordered me the Tom Kha soup mild and Larb salad. The soup was super light and tasted very bland (my fault) but my friends oredered it "regular" so I mixed in some of their slightly orange soup and it was pretty good. The Larb salad container had a separator which I loved, so the cabbage stayed crisp to eat with the yummy chicken mixture. It was very good. I went back this past weekend and the lady was super nice, but it was a completely different experience. I ordered the same thing but the Tom Kha "regular". When I looked at my soup it was cream colored, no orange spice. She said it could have settled but let me have a small side of the spice flavor. But it was obvious the cook left it out when I ate it. It was more bland than the first time. The spice sauce definitely helped but why is it so inconsistent!? Now for the Larb salad, I didn't even look at it because I waited until the next day to open it. This time, the cabbage was mixed in, not separated like last time. It was all in one container together so soggy. It still tasted fine, but how is it supposed to be packaged to go? Also a small side of dressing was 50 cents online but I was charged 1.00 which I brought up because it was misleading online. I just had her give me another side of dressing to compensate, but again, major inconsistencies. I might come back one more time because it's so convenient and they are nice, but I need to know the food will be prepared correctly. read more

Found this place by accident and I still swear it's the best Thai in town!! This review is long overdue and if you haven't been here yet, I promise, stop by and you'll be a new fan. |P A R K I N G| This spot is located off Beverly Blvd. inside a really tiny shopping center. There's free parking too! Always a convenient stop. |F O O D| Their food is top notch and extremely fresh. There's a few spots I've tried inside of Thai town itself and the surrounding Thai town area, and overall, this place is way better in my opinion. One of my favorite soups (the coconut Tom Kha soup) has fresh mushrooms as well. I noticed some other places in Thai town use either straw mushrooms or canned mushrooms which have a very rubbery texture... its just nothing compared to the fresh button mushrooms served here. Also the combination fried rice is another dish I highly suggest. It comes with shrimp, beef, pork, and chicken (all the bells and whistles). Add some of their chili sauce and forget it, I could eat this for the rest of my life. The best chili sauce is this one which they have and is bright red and tastes a bit vinegary and comes in tiny plastic containers. Make sure to ask for a lot of it! |S E R V I C E & H O S P I T A L I T Y| The service is sooooo good and every time I call, I am greeted by the sweetest lady who knows it's me and what my order is. Even back home in a town I grew up in, I never got that sort of treatment. Here, it feels like a piece of home and makes me feel very comforted and welcomed when I come to eat or pick up food. Solid 4 stars for great prices, great service and good food! Joom is an office favorite. Many of my coworkers would take the walk to Joom for their lunch specials which starts at around $9.99. I recommend spending the extra dollar for their garlic fried rice. I am so happy that the prices have the neighborhood in mind and not the tourists. It gets pretty hard to find a great lunch for under $15. Today, my coworker and I split three lunch specials: panang beef curry, garlic chicken and pad thai. The chicken pad thai is better than I last had it. Years ago, I remembered it being sweeter than I prefer. Today, it was more balanced and delicious. Rice is not included in the dish, as with the other specials. Panang curry was not spicy but flavorful. The beef were cooked tender and with the garlic fried rice, it made a huge difference. My friend got the garlic chicken. It was aromatic and quite flavorful with ample sauce to spoon over your rice. Customer service is wonderful. They understood we had less than an hour and they made sure we were served promptly. This was a great reintroduction to a long-standing restaurant. I am definitely coming back and am willing to make the walk for lunch! read more
