Came here for lunch and I've been coming here since like 2017. I adore this place. v52 has always been my order and it's been consistently refreshing and delicious. They give you a beautifully thin sliced lime with your water. Today I tried a little of the chicken pho and did not regret one bite. They even given you sides of sauces and additives. Always a good time. Just a nice hole in the wall place. 10/10 bring a friend :) Update: came here after renovations. Super excited and happy for this shop. The Bún Nen Nuőng was super delicious and refreshing as it always is. I loved the Beef Banh Mi as well. The matcha flavor is rich and super tasty. I saw Pho Yen Phi in an Instagram group and decided to stop in to try it out. We arrived and noticed right away how clean and inviting the restaurant is. The server was also very kind and polite. We ordered the Eggrolls, Grilled Pork Banh Mi, and Grilled Pork with Broken Rice. The Banh Mi was very disappointing overall, the bread was great but the meat was not grilled pork and there was just three tiny slices. There was also no Pate or Butter/Mayo and no pickled Daikon at all. It was the skimpiest sandwich I have had in a long time. The Egg Rolls were good and hot. The Grilled Pork with broken rice came with regular rice and but the flavor overall was not bad. Overall I was disappointed since this location is so convenient to my house. I just moved to Coppell and joined one of those Facebook groups that organizes local lunches, and this was my very first meetup. There were about 35 of us, which could have easily overwhelmed a restaurant. Instead, this place handled it like total pros, all while continuing to take care of their regular lunch crowd at the same time. Before arriving, I had already studied the menu and decided on the shaking beef lunch special. I was feeling pretty confident in my choice. Then, right after I ordered, the head of our group introduced the chef and mentioned that she makes all of her noodles - FRESH - in house. Suddenly I realized that noodles are clearly the star here, and I will absolutely be back to try them next time. The menu is extensive in the best way. There is something for everyone, whether you are craving something comforting, adventurous, or somewhere in between. It is the kind of place where you already know you will need multiple visits to even make a dent. What really stood out, beyond the food, was how smoothly everything ran. A group our size during lunch (and nearly everyone an individual check!!) could have slowed things down or caused chaos, but service stayed friendly, organized, and impressively efficient the entire time. I love supporting a local spot like this, especially one where the chef is clearly bringing real passion and skill to the table. Looks like I came here over 7 years ago, but new management is in place it appears. The decor has been updated and so has the food. A little interesting to see some of the other reviews, I think it is pretty solid for coppell at least. Large pho comes in the stone bowl and that keeps your soup freakinnnnn hot!!! Something that I enjoy for sure. Caution you will burn your mouth if you don't cool it down a little. I got pho tai bo vien, broth was solid, maybe masked by the hot temp, and the fact that I like my food saltier. My only complaint was on the noodles, they maybe fresh, a little wider and slippery compared to most pho places. We are so used to frozen / rehydrated noodles, we don't know different ha! I wanted to like this little mom and pop shop but I didn't. I don't want to bash on them because it looked like it was family run and two young men trying to hold down the front of the house. Service was really slow but they were really nice young men. Little disclaimer: on the top of the menu it says "all pho comes in stone pot" but really only the large size comes in stone pot. I'm pregnant and I was thinking that my pho was gonna come in a stone pot so I ordered rare beef. In my head I figured the stone pot would be hot enough to cook my rare beef. Then my small bowl came out which wasn't a stone pot, it was a regular bowl. That wasn't a huge problem, I'm okay with it not coming out in a stone pot. I just wish it was clearer that small bowls come out regular. If I knew that I would've ordered cooked meat instead of rare. Usually when you order rare beef, the broth that comes out is hot enough to cook your meat. That was the biggest problem. The broth was not hot enough. I had to throw my rare meat into my husbands stone pot to cook my meat. My pho just wasn't enjoyable. It was lukewarm pho, the broth tasted like straight MSG, and I didn't like the taste of the meatballs there. Also I ordered a dac biet (combination pho) which usually comes with tripe and tendon and mine did not come with either. I will say that the noodles were really good and fresh noodles. After reading some positive recent reviews with the new owner, thought I would come back with my son and try again. Have to say, the plate setting was nice where you can make your own. And the soup with the stone bowl was definitely hot the whole time. Definitely more of a winter meal as I was sweating just trying to eat it. So for the pho, the soup was decent, but seemed to lack any of the beef bone flavor expected. Was good, just lack that distinctive pho flavor. All others are ok, but the pho noodle??? I read that they may have made their own noodles, but not sure. As you see in picture, it is a bit wider than typical pho noodles. Either way, my son and I didn't particularly care for it as it tasted overcooked as it was falling apart once you mix in with the soup. It didn't have that springiness of a freshly made noodles, so not sure why this type is used. Service was good as one of the lady came and helped set up the noodles and proceed to help me put some of the ingredients into the soup. Bottom line is that for a soup of $16, I expected little better. It's not terribly expensive but Pho 1 and Pho Empire are still my 2 favorites in this area. read more

This place is sooo legit! It's one of the best pho spots I've found in town so far, and the only place I know that uses handmade fresh rice noodles, very authentic, and that's saying something because I'm picky about pho. Plus, the owner is a really lovely person. Keep in mind that it might take a little longer to get your pho since they prepare fresh noodles instead of the regular instant ones you'd find at other Vietnamese restaurants. To preface, I have visited Pho Yen Phi as a consistent customer for the last 9 years. I have been coming to their restaurant since I was 13 years old, grew up in the Coppell ISD school district, and always raved about this place since I was younger. For the longest time this was my favorite restraunt in all of DFW. I am beyond disappointed by the change in ownership, but understand sometimes it's a must. However, the menu now is very small compared to how it used to be, and the food is absolutely worse (Don't even get me started on the drinks). I am so upset to see this place go downhill, I always loved the "hole in the wall" feel of Pho Yen Phi, but that is gone. It feels gentrified, the service is slow, and the staff is no where near as friendly as it once was. If you want some Pho that's lacking all the flavor of usual authentic vietnamese food, go ahead and come to Pho Yen Phi. It will never be the same, and it breaks my heart. read more

Found this little pho gem buried deep into the darkest bowels of Coppell, and boy was it great! Nestled in a little strip mall Pho Yen Phi is a great little pho restaurant. You walk in and you are immediately greeted by the staff and sat down. The menu is very simple and priced just right. I ordered the shrimp spring roll with peanut sauce. It was fantastic. I also ordered a regular or small pho with brisket and flank. The broth was very delicious and the noodles and meat were great. In addition to my pho and spring rolls I ordered an I unsweetened ice tea. The best part is that it was the I think jasmine ice tea that a few other Vietnamese restaurants carry. The ice tea paired well with my meal. When it was all said and done I barely left any broth in my bowl. I have to say if you haven't visited Pho Yen Phi, you must check it out, especially if you love pho. read more

Met my wife for lunch at this place in Coppell by one of our bank branches. Place is well-spaced inside and very simple chairs and tables. Menu has a wide variety of pho as well as options different from the traditional beef which I recall as Shrimp, Tofu, Chicken, Seafood. Also has some good selections of spring rolls which I enjoy, though this time I had the regular shrimp spring roll I usually get. But maybe next time I will try some of the others. It's about $5 for the spring roll and $11 for the special combo. My wife ordered the chicken. She commented that the chicken was definitely all white meat which she likes and that the broth tasted the same as mine. She enjoys her pho with a side of peanut sauce to dip the chicken into and the were happy to oblige. Mine came with the traditional set up but also with soft boiled egg yolk in it. I don't normally think anything different as I've had a lot of Asian foods (I'm from Hawaii) that comes with either fried egg, sunny side up egg, soft boiled egg, etc. This one taste fine and I thought added a nice twist from anywhere else in the city that I've had Pho. I did request some chili oil and their in house made chili oil was a very great flavor that is toned down and a little bit more bodied (almost as if they added a bit of peanut sauce to it but not sure if that's it.). In any case it was very flavorful and when it hit my throat it didn't burn or make me cough like the normal stuff does. So I liked it. The other comment I would say is the meatballs tasted fresh and weren't the typical frozen Vietnamese meatball from the Asian grocery store. It was a very good flavor. The broth itself seemed a little more clean yet very flavorful than others I've had around town. And I didn't see that leftover seasoning on the bottom of the bowl after I was done.
