Terrible hair cut from the male hairstylist. I knew he did wrong when he chopped of two sides to ear length....the picture I showed him the ear is covered...no ear exposes and is layered. He made my hair cut looks like a bowl. I now look hideous. He supposed to give me a layered bob....but look choppy and bulky and like a bowl. I asked him in the beginning before cutting if he can duplicate the same cut as in the picture, if not...I'll just have my long hair layered. Ughh! Took my son here for the second time to get a haircut and blue highlights before school started. The normal price for a kids haircut is $7 so this was definitely a splurge at $30. Walked in today for a trim. An older man did my hair and I'm very happy with it. I requested ~3 inches off with subtle/light layering at the bottom. He took his time and also really dried my hair completely before leaving with a round brush. I've been to a lot of places give a 2 minute rough dry and I walk out with damp hair. It was only $12 for a women's haircut with short/med hair and $15 for long hair, which mine is very long. They do charge a $1 credit card fee if the total is under $20. Took my 5YO daughter here for her first "real" haircut. This place is in a small strip mall, so if you're not looking you'd pass right by. I found PL2 on yelp after the price shock of the trendy kids cuts places in Irvine/Tustin sent me searching. Do parents really pay $50 for a kids haircut to have them sit in a race car barber chair while watching Disney?! That's a straight hustle Russell. PL2 is clean and bright, although maybe not in the greatest location (i.e. don't be a dummy, lock your doors, etc.). The staff was super friendly and spoke to me in Vietnamese. I opted for English b/c my Vietnamese is limited to about 10 words, most of which are food. I didn't ask the name of our stylist. She was an older lady, gentle and sweet. She took her time...talked and played with my baby girl kindly. She didn't take too much off and the cut came out BEAUTIFUL...followed my wife's request to a T! My #2 baby girl is coming up on her 1st cut any day. We'll be back to PL2 no doubt. Oh, and the price is nice. It was $20 for a cut and style with tip. Don't even think twice from the low review count. This is PL 2nd location, hence the "2". I was lucky to find this place, and so are you. read more

Never in my life have I received as many compliments about my hair as I have after I let Ms. Annie work her magic on it. She turned my dark brown, dry, and split-end ridden hair into a beautiful round layered red ombré. I've been hearing loved ones, acquaintances, and a lot of strangers tell me and shouting at me multiple variations of: "You dyed your hair? It looks good on you.", "I like your hair!", and "OMG I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!". The best take away is that my hair is still shiny and soft even after getting it bleached and colored. Well... I got a perm. The process involved rough shampooing that i felt pain and the formation of red streak marks. The stylist made my hair really frizzy and dry after shampooing, constantly brushing the wet, freshly permed hair, so it was so frizzy. 1 star because I have to. I went in for a root touch up. I dont know what she used to remove the dye off my head but she burnt my whole hairline. My hair was not dyed, my whole hair is like straw, and i had scabs all in my scalp. I have little bald spots along my hairline and some of the hair is starting to grow back.
