Self service no frills kind of place and pay by the pound. The selections of vegetables, soy, noodles and meat are great and the soup base I tried which is the golden broth was good. Very fast and convenient to grab a lunch or dinner. You're able to sit next door at Gao's Crab and Kabob before 6pm for dine in option.

DIY hotpot where you pick your own adventure and get an individual hotpot bowl at the end. One section of the wall has all the delights, the other side has small bar seating. It's $13.95 per pound. They have a large assortment of vegetables (leafy greens, mushrooms, root veggies, seaweed, etc.). For meats they had thinly sliced meats( beef, lamb, pork), fishballs, seafood (abalone, shrimp, mussels, fish, etc), offal (tripe, gizzard, etc.). They have plenty of carb options too, assortment of noodles, dumplings, ramens, rice cakes. Quick service and easy to pick your own ingredients. I did the original which they said is still a little spicy. I didn't think it was spicy but enjoyed the flavors of the original soup.

Cool place for quick hotpot! It's small but they do have a couple of chairs to dine in. There's soup options, you pay, the. Grab your utensils & pick your ingredients.

Loved this new hotpot spot in Flushing! Everything was fresh and delicious, the place is small and clean, and the staff were super welcoming. Highly recommend!

We tried two different soups: the Signature Spicy Sour with Fish and the Vine Pepper Numbing Flavor with Fish and Beef. They were both labeled as mild spicy but man, were they spicy! We got the Best-Value Combo which was indeed a really good value. For the small, you get 2 add-ons, 2 side dishes, and 2 bowls of rice. There's a wide variety of sides, ranging from cold, spicy dishes to sweet, fried desserts. We tried the Spiced Chicken, Fried Milk Custard, Fried Chinese Buns, and Crispy Fried Fish Skin. The positive grungy vibe with the decorated walls and wooden furniture gave the place a unique charm. However, the ambiance paled in comparison to the food laid out in front of us. I loved the rich flavors of the broth and the quality of the food was high. Definitely going to be one of my go to spots for hot pot. I'm really curious to try the pickled mustard hot pot base next time as well, but considering my love for spicy food - I won't be sad to go for the spicy broth again. My only gripe is that the seats were super uncomfortable. i had to constantly get up to move around abit so my leg won't cramp up.

Their roast meats are generally well done and most of the dishes out properly cooked. On my most recent visit, we ordered a plate of Crispy Roast Pig and roast duck, which were both quite delicious. Pork w/ Thousand Year Egg Congee was one of the better ones around the area. Somewhat thicker than I prefer, but tons of stuff and quite flavorful. I would say that the Shrimp w/ Egg Sauce on Rice was pretty decent too. On the downside, the Fried Fish Fillet w/ Bean Curd was not what I hoped for. While the bean curd was cooked well with plenty of flavor, the fish had a thick batter and over fried, not tender at all. Another underwhelming dish was the bland tasting Dry Sautéed String Bean. Regardless of the small hiccups, I still find this restaurant to be where I can find some good quality old school Cantonese comfort food.

Fortunately, the waiter was friendly and offered us some suggestions. One of my favorites was the Preserved Meat Clay Pot Rice. I enjoyed the crispy rice at the bottom, although I felt the preserved meat was sliced a bit too thinly. We also tried the Black Pepper Steak Clay Pot; while the steak was cooked perfectly medium, it was a little too salty for my taste. The cauliflower with duck sauce was amazing, but I found the fish head in the clay pot had too many bones and was also a bit too salt side. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant; it felt like we were in a high-end establishment back in Hong Kong.

With our party of four, we were a little over ambitious with what we ordered * Hoisin & Peanut Sauce Rice Rolls $6.25 - I enjoyed this as we don't get it very often. * Roast Duck on Rice $11 - We got three orders of this - one for each person. * Combo of Roast Duck and Crispy Roast Park on Rice $11 plus 25 cents This was our first meal of the day and these portions were very generous! We all had leftovers, especially since we ordered the rice rolls. In retrospect, we could have gone with 2-3 orders of roast duck and been fine. So on that note, it was a great value to us! I noticed many people order their clay pot dishes which looked quite delicious. And the hanging Chinese donut is a sight to see for sure! We also returned a few days later to get a few orders to go for our flight out. It was a bit messy though as the duck juices did leak all over the plastic bags during security screening. (In retrospect, we should have made sure the bags stayed upright the whole time.). Nonetheless, it was a great meal at the airport or would have been during our flight but we were hungry.
