Chardonnay and a little info card. Paired really well with Clelia's Penne :)
    Jeanette C.

I called the restaurant shortly before 1PM on a Wednesday to see if they had any open tables for a solo diner. As it turns out, they had plenty of open tables and I opted to sit outside on a whim since it was sunny and gorgeous out. I ordered the Clelia's Penne and a glass of the Hess Chardonnay. The chicken was browned beautifully, pasta was cooked perfectly, the micro greens and squash also brightened up the dish. And when ordering this, it doesn't hurt to top it with some more cheese! Don't be fooled by size of the serving plate, the look is light & delicate - but I was seriously stuffed after this lunch special. I had just enough room for a light dessert. So I asked for a single scoop of the mango gelato. I saw people a few tables down getting as many as 3 scoops, perhaps I'll follow suit the next time I'm visiting Boston. I came for lunch, but if I'm ever in the area again - I'd seriously consider ordering their truffle ravioli for dinner.

As a wine lover, I was excited to try Piattini after several of my friends in Boston highly recommended it, and it definitely lived up to the hype! We ordered two glasses of Merlot, the shrimp scampi, and the garlic bread. Everything was delicious. The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and the portions were generous. We chose to sit on the outdoor patio and enjoyed the lovely weather with a nice breeze. My only small complaint is that the patio feels a bit cramped. There are quite a few tables in a relatively small space, so it can feel a little tight when it's busy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back.

every once in a awhile, i give a place a chance to redeem themselves. unfortunately, i won't be in a rush back here again. not terrible, not great, but great views outside and gorgeous interior. i come for the food primarily though. it was a beautiful day on Newbury street and i wanted to get a little bite to eat while eating outside on a gorgeous summer day. sabrina was extremely nice & checked in often before my meal and once after, but i was waiting for awhile for the check. i forgot my wallet but they have apple pay! i didn't receive the check, i was told it was $59 which seemed a bit high, but i paid it and 25% tip, but when i went in and had to ask for a receipt. while walking back to my car in a rush, i felt ripped off like a tourist when i saw the receipt. i ordered a chicken pesto sandwich with a side caesar salad, and had asked if they had half portions of pasta to try. she said yes and i asked which of two options she would choose, and she suggested the chicken, ziti & broccoli. i figured a half portion would be half price, or at least less than the full size. i was overcharged for the half pasta with chicken and broccoli costing additional fees to $27, when the full size is $19. i did call a few hours later and spoke with the assistant manager, melissa, regarding my experience. she said it was not rung in the correct way and i did receive a refund for the overcharge & inconvenience, and she handled it very well. she said they take customer complaints very seriously and was happy to help address the issue quickly on a busy friday night. the chicken, ziti, broccoli was creamier than expected and has fresh homemade fusilli, covered in cheese & good amount of chicken but it could use a bit extra flavor. i liked it, but i would have preferred more olive oil than cream, topped with fresh parmesan & cracked black pepper. the chicken pesto sandwich is solid, on delicious focaccia but would be better with some basil, spinach or arugula. the caesar salad had a bunch of white lettuce & ends, and i completely forgot about the cyclospora outbreak but it's fine because i didn't get sick here. sabrina was happy to provide fresh parmesan & cracked pepper. chicken ziti broccoli 6.8/10 chicken pesto sandwich 8.2/10 side caesar salad 4/10 berry mocktail 8.2/10 overall, this place is beautiful, the vibes inside and out are there, but i'm always wishing the food was a bit better for a newbury street restaurant. ambiance: 5/5 food: 3.6/5 drinks: 4.6/5 service: 4.8/5 piattini: 3.5/5 (docked point for overcharge, happy it was fixed but still inconvenient. what if i hadn't asked for the check that wasn't offered?)

After a long walk on Newberry St., our family was craving Italian food and chose this spot for its proximity and solid Yelp reviews. We sat indoors on a cooler evening--the space was warm and cozy, though our table was a bit too close to the bathroom for my liking. Service was decent and reasonably attentive. We started with the burrata appetizer, which was enjoyable, though the peppers leaned more toward a shakshuka-style flavor than a traditional Italian preparation. For mains, my husband enjoyed the shrimp pasta. My daughter's pesto fusilli was flavorful but had a bit too many mushrooms for her taste. My salmon over tomato sauce and vegetables was fine--the salmon itself was well cooked, but the vegetables were a bit overwhelmed by the sauce's acidity. Overall, it was a solid experience--pleasant, but not particularly memorable. I'd rate it around 3.5 stars: good, but not a standout.

It is very rare for me to find a pasta spot that I would come back to. Piattini is one of the spots for me. The ambiance inside and out is gorgeous. Great staff, that is attentive and works quickly. The pasta we ordered was also really delicious, plus the wine flight had some great selections! The meal itself was worth its values.

Stumbled in here for lunch after not eating the entire day. The hostess immediately sat us however gave us the worst two person table downstairs in the heart of foot traffic even though others were open, but I was too hungry to do anything. Our server was friendly and hardworking-5/5. Good cocktail menu- Piattini lemonade was 5/5, super refreshing but not too sweet. Overall the food was extremely average. We got the Caesar salad, garlic bread, rigatoni alla vodka, and lobster ravioli. Nothing stood out but nothing was bad, again just average. The sauce on the lobster ravioli was pretty good and you could taste lobster chunks in the ravioli, but not the best I've had.

I'm always surprised at how these newbury st establishments are much bigger and spruced up inside than what meets the eye from outside. The walls have these nice murals/paintings that cover the whole wall space. Food was delicioussss. The eggplant appetizer was a crowd pleaser and the tiramisu was outstanding. My seafood pasta was loaded up with mussels, salmon, octopus, and shrimp and a good portion. All the drinks were on point - would recommend the espresso and pistachio martini.

A stunning atmosphere and incredible service, even if the food missed the mark. I am still giving Piattini 4 stars for the fantastic service, the beautiful ambiance, prime location, and the drinks! The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. They have a great outdoor seating area right on Newbury Street that is perfect for people-watching. Inside, the space is divided into these unique, eclectic nooks. Whether you want to feel right at home or celebrate in their stunning vine-draped dining room (the ceiling is amazing!), the vibe is spot-on. I stopped in on a Wednesday, so it wasn't too busy, and I sat right at the bar. The bartender was fantastic--super attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. I ordered a wine flight, and they gave me these adorable little informational cards detailing the region and tasting notes for every unique bottle I tried. It was such a cute, elevated touch that made the experience feel special! The food came out in a very timely fashion, but unfortunately, it was the weak point of the visit. I started with the bruschetta, hoping for the best, but it was incredibly under-seasoned. The cherry tomatoes were left whole, which meant I was chewing on tomato skins for far too long, and the juices immediately made the middle of the toast completely soggy. Next came the pasta. I truly appreciated that the kitchen can customize anything you want even vegan style. On the plus side, the food arrives piping hot, and the portion size was wonderful! However, just like the appetizer, it was seriously lacking flavor. I had to add as much salt and pepper as I possibly could just to make it worth my while. Ultimately, the overall experience was the best part of the deal--from the gorgeous views to the wonderful wine flight and the stellar service. But as for the meal itself... in the historic Boston Italian vs. Irish rivalry, I think the Irish might have won this round! #Enjoygoodpeople

Visited here on a warm night recently. I used to always come here back when I was a student at NEU. Food and vibes are always so cozy and inviting here. Great spot for a date. The only thing I feel like can be improved is service level. You can easily be neglected and not have a single waiter walk past you for 15+ mins (and I've been here 10+ times). It's also not very clear where you go to get seated. You'd think you walk through the front entrance to the desk, but you actually have to look for a small table on the sidewalk and wait for someone to get to the table to seat you.

Good was AMAZING! Service was also fantastic. Cesar the bartender and server was amazing and had great recommendations. Inside is super nice but their outside area is also nice!

Keeping it short and sweet: the consensus is, come to this lovely restaurant. Located on lively Newbury Street, you may have to wait during peak hours, but the wait is completely worth it. The food is delicious and priced very fairly. You can tell it's made with whole, fresh ingredients, and the menu feels slightly elevated compared to a typical Italian restaurant. We ordered a few pasta dishes--the penne alla vodka and the pesto pasta--and I would highly recommend both. The pesto was incredibly fresh, and the mushrooms added a rich, creamy texture to the dish. Being in such a popular area really makes this restaurant feel vibrant and special.

Tiny spot on newbury, limited seating in the dining room, separate bar area. Decent wine menu and they seemed to have other liquor options as well. Food was delicious, eggplant appetizer was unique with smoked mozeralla and vodka sauce, tuna crudo was also fresh and delicious. Ordered the saffron vongole, truffle ravioli, rigatoni and brussel sprouts. The riggatoni was my favorite dish, the vongole was good and prepared al dente. The ravioli portion was large and rich, great for mushroom/truffle lovers. Service was attentive and friendly. Overall great experience.

This place sucks. Waiter was forgetful and rude. Pizza and spaghetti and clams were both fit for an elementary school cafeteria.

As a non-beer drinker, all I can say is they have a number of Harpoon beers on tap, as well as a hard cider that I am fond of, and for sustenance, they have a taco truck that I kept seeing people carry away nachos from. The one downside is that it is super LOUD from the performance stage at one end of the seating area. I am begging whoever organizes the performances to turn down the mic just a little. At some point, the live performances switched to a DJ which made the volume a bit more tolerable but my watch was still picking up dangerous decibel levels. We grabbed a table that was the furthest from the stage and I was still hoarse at the end of the night from shouting at my friend across the table. They have some reserved/standing only tables closer to the beer/food at the other end that might be quieter but we came on a Thursday and of course everything was packed. If you're looking to have a semi-quiet conversation, definitely go elsewhere in the park. But this pop up is a good choice if you just want to hang with friends, drink beer, and eat tacos. If you need to use a restroom, pro tip to use the AMC across the street.

I got the nashville hot mozzarella sticks which were actually pretty good, I liked the tomato relish they put on top and the ranch was really good. Dive Bar Diva was my cocktail which was pretty good. My friends seemed to like their drinks and bar bites. After dinner we went upstairs to the club and got to skip the line (thankfully). The line for the club wraps around the building down the street most nights, so we got lucky. Dance floor is upstairs and it's pretty small, just one room. There were two DJs that night, and the music was really good. Bar was fun, they handed out free chicken tenders at one point and were squirting shots into peoples mouths out of gatorade bottles. It was awesome. Bathroom line upstairs for women was crazy, only one bathroom and it took a long line. I suggest going downstairs... but at least you'll see the famous cheetah print walls! I will say trying to get in contact with the reservation staff was difficult but finally they answered after days of my friends and I trying.
