Espresso Martini - lacking in presentation but taste was great.

Found this place in Little Italy area. Was a tiny place maybe 6-8 tables for dining but the food was homemade and great. We started with the Lobster Fritter I really liked the fritter and the fried sweet potato and leek next, the balsamic tho Just didn't go. I wish they had something bright maybe like a lemon sauce? Next I got the pappardelle and my guest got the short rib ravioli. The short rib ravioli with mushroom sauce was super heavy sauce for the meat. It was good but very very rich. The pappardelle when I first got it I thought it seemed like so little but after eating it was plentiful. Also rich but a nice balance. They came with these homemade rolls not warm but seemed to bake that day and you just got 1 per person. I tried their Espresso Martini and I wish they did a dusting of cocoa on top would balance it out great. We got the bread pudding and tiramisu for dessert and they were both just ok. I really enjoyed the place though.

Amazing service! Everyone was very warm and welcoming. I really appreciated all of the vegan options clearly listed on their menu. Their gnocchi with mushroom was sooo tasty and the spaghetti and meatballs was a classic! I highly recommend to vegans and nonvegans who are looking for a cozy intimate Italian meal.

Lobster Ravioli with a bisque cream sauce!

The best! We have been coming here for years on our way to Cape Cod. Food is delish and fresh and service is friendly and prompt. Thanks guys and gals.... See you next year.

Yummy vegan options!! The service was also great :) We really enjoyed the gnocchi! Menu had vegan wine labeled as well

Great time at this restaurant. Met the owner, Carla. So friendly and down to earth. Service was wonderful with Gabriel!! The best! Vegan options so good! Will definitely return here when we visit Boston again. Love you guys from the New Orleans Ladies. Traci, Paula, Courtney

Went here for the dine out Boston menu. It was $46 for an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Got the arancini for my appetizer, it was good but tried some of the meatball which was amazing!!! For dinner got the vegan ravioli. It was delicious and filling. Their red sauce it very flavorful and not too heavy. The Tiramisu for dessert was delicious that we didn't have time to take a photo. Would definitely recommend checking this place out. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well if that is something you are looking for.

Service: even though Kerri had 12 tables 11 inside and one out on the patio she was an absolute pro. Never got frazzled, good recommendations and funny stories about her industry. Food: fantastic, white bean, olive oil and chili pepper spread with fresh bread to start was really tasty. I would however recommend the bread warmed up will add an even better flavor. Arugula salad, simple tasty, fresh fennel and orange wedges punched it up. Gnocchi ala fungi - run don't walk. Top choice for the mushroom lovers. Spaghetti cabanera - also very good, I would have loved the pancetta a bit crispier but the pasta was SPOT ON. Wine selection very nice with all our favorites by the bottle and glass. Well done. Just sorry it took so long to get here. Did I mention we walked in when at 7:05 when nearly every other restaurant in the Northend was quoting a 9:15 first available. Thanks Kerri and crew for a wonderful evening of before a Sox game.

Service and food amazing. The place looks really nice, awesome for a nice romantic dinner

I didn't mind that much since it was actually pretty tight and cozy so it actually brought up the energy I think. We already had reservations, so we received a fairly quickly, and the white stuff were very professional and courteous. The food did not disappoint. The calamari came out fresh and hot. Crispy and the banana peppers gave it just the right heat. The marinara sauce paired well with it. The Lobster Fra Diavolo was done in a cute heart shaped, so that was delightful. Lobster was done perfectly and the slightly spicy sauce of the pasta paired beautifully. My favorite was actually the marsala. The Fusilli was done perfectly al dente and soaked in that delicious sauce that was flavorful and clung so well to the pasta. The chicken breast was well marinated and super tender and juicy. I ordered the Espresso Martini, which I learned the restaurant is famous for and after tasting it I understand while. I want to put the disclaimer that I am allergic to nuts, so I didn't have it how the restaurant traditionally prepares it (using Amaretto) but it still tasted excellent. The Espresso Martini was perfectly balanced between bitter and sweet and the had the perfect amount of foam on top. For my meal I got the Shrimp pasta with Zucchini. The shrimp was tender and the noodles were cooked to a perfect al dente. The zucchini added a nice contrast to the rich tomato sauce and helped make the dish feel light even though it was a bowl of pasta. My only complaint that the restaurant is very dim especially upstairs. Some people at our table joked that they might need to use their phone flashlight to read the menu, so if you are someone who struggles to see in dimly lit places keep that in mind.

Unfortunately, this most recent visit didn't live up to the high standards I've come to expect. While a few dishes hit the mark, the majority of our order was a letdown: Tinned Octopus: Surprisingly chewy and lacked seasoning. Mushroom Toast: The texture was rubbery, and the flavor was completely drowned out by an aggressive amount of balsamic. Beets: Had a very overwhelming cumin flavor that threw the dish out of balance. Roast Beef Slider: Served cold and felt a bit uninspired. It's such a cute, intimate space, and I've had so many wonderful nights here in the past, but the execution was just off this time around. Our server was super friendly and attentive, and she even offered a few samples so we could try before committing to a full glass, which we really appreciated. For food, we shared the hot dog with fried oysters to pair with the wine, and it was surprisingly delicious and a fun, elevated bar bite. Overall, the experience was fantastic -- great wine, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Pricing is definitely on the higher end, with wine glasses around $20 and the hot dog at $14, but the quality and experience justify it. I'd absolutely come back for another wine night.
