Very good neighborhood pizzeria in Rye set back in the residential area. Now that you can conveniently order online, I'm going to be ordering here more often. I've never gotten delivery or eaten in, but there are a couple of tables if they're available. All the times I've phone ordered for pick-up, my food was always hot & ready when I arrived. There is limited parking shared with the deli next door, but people cycle in & out pretty fast. My regular go-to is the Veal Parmigiana Hero with breaded veal cutlets covered in tomato sauce and melted mozzarella. They toast it in the pizza oven to melt the cheese and sometimes it's a little on the burnt side, but still good. On New Year's Eve, I decided to treat my co-workers to lunch and ordered a Meat Lovers & a Grandma pie. As a devout carnivore, I thought the Meat Lovers with pepperoni, sausage, meatball, ham & bacon would be the favorite, but everybody loved the Grandma. Of course, everybody loves their Grandma. Duh. The rectangular slices with fresh mozzarella, chopped basil and fresh tomatoes were a hit and disappeared fast! The pizzeria is pretty small but there is a good amount of parking in the lot. The place is clean and the counter people greet you immediately with a smile. I am used to run of the mill pizzerias so I was not expecting much from Piazza. My first time there I got two plain slices. The crust was thin and flavorful, not bland at all. The sauce was sweet and well seasoned and the pizza had the perfect amount of cheese. I was very impressed, this place has good pizza. My second time, I got a meatball parm wedge for lunch. I opened the foil and some of the cheese got stuck, but it was no big deal because the sandwich had plenty of cheese. The meatballs weren't as seasoned as I like but were tender and delicious. There was not too much or too little sauce, the perfect amount. I am so accustomed to average pizzerias and when I come across one that is good, it is always a welcomed surprise. OMG! I can't believe how I came across this pizza place in between my uber rides. At first I wanted a regular slice then saw they have a la vodka pizza w mozzarella slice. This was a fantastic slice! At dinnertime, we got some salads and a pasta to go. The salads were OK, but nothing better. The caesar salad was a portion of shredded lettuce with thin tiny slices of cheese and a some thicker slices of hardboiled egg on top. Croutons and dressing came on the side. My pasta was linguine with meatballs. The linguine itself was overcooked. The tomato sauce around it was passable but nothing to write home about. The meatballs were tasteless and kind of gross. Portions were generous. I had some linguine and meatballs left when we decided to end the meal and reheated some of the leftover dish for lunch the next day. Sunlight didn't help at all -- the meatballs were still terrible and nothing around them had improved. When I entered Piazza Pizza for our pickup, I recognized the quintessential smell of New York pizza from my youth. If I come back again (which is quite likely), I'll skip the salad and pasta and order a pie. read more

Came in today for a quick dinner, and was a bit undecided what to get... after the suggestion of a grandma slice I decided to try that and a chicken bacon ranch slice as well. Both were delicious, but they were right - the grandma was the best. They are taking precautions right now due to covid-19 and everything is being done correctly. Piazza is a classic pizza place! The pizza's are great, they deliver! But even if you stop in without ordering ahead, your food is ready very quickly. This is mostly a to-go place but theres little tables outside. They have the best salads in Rye for a fact. Three times I went into Piazza to support a local business. On all three visits the staff was not wearing face masks. On the first two occasions, they made a show of pulling them up as I entered. The third time one staff member didn't even bother to put one on but looked at me as I stood in the door - barely 6 feet away from the counter - waving me to come closer and asking me if he could help. Used to order pies here quite often while I was growing up. I don't remember why we stopped and switched to Sunrise before we stopped eating pizzas completely. I just remember SOMETHING about this place grossed me out, and that's why I was always hesitant to give it another shot. This has got to be the fifth pizza in five weeks we've ordered. My parents, once again, were the ones to convince me to give them a shot. Apparently they picked up a couple of slices, and the dough converted them. (We were ordering from Ferrarro's in Port Chester before that). Delivery = AMAZING! And they have caller ID, so I just call, the guy asks me if my address is correct, and within thirty seconds, I'm done with the call. No having to repeat myself five times. No grumpy guy to deal with as I place my family's order. Tori is happy. And the pizza itself? Wow. That dough really IS good! Soft, fluffy, chewy. The crust has always been my favorite part, but some pizzerias have gross crusts. Once again, I can enjoy the crusts as a treat after I finish the rest of my slice. The cheese they use doesn't make the pie overly greasy, either. That was a HUGE problem with Ferrarro's. Their sauce is yummy, and doesn't overpower. All three elements work in perfect harmony. I usually order onions and spinach on half the pie since I love those toppings, but today I got onion and garlic. Our pie was a little on the greasy side, but not nearly as bad as some other places. I'm hoping it was just a fluke. Garlic knots are tiny, but they pack a lot of flavor and are little puffs of goodness. Watch, I'll have another pizza craving next week. Sigh! read more

My family goes there all the time - great pizza. Our favorites are the white-cheese broccoli and the plain slices. Small number of seats available - only 5-10 total - so it's great to pick up good pizza, get a delivery, or sit there with a few friends really quick. Located about a 5 min walk to Oakland beach, if you wanted to go there after! You could even bring your pizza and salad to the park for a picnic - I've done that before. Usual time is quick 10-15 for big orders, busy nights 30-35 (not bad really). They always have slices on the go available for pick up too. In the summer, they put 3-4 chairs outside which is nice.
