Classic NY pizza place. You arrive and there are locals hanging out eating and chatting. I told the man behind the counter what I was looking for and he suggested I order and entire pizza. It actually did not take very long. The cheese was amazing, sauce amazing, and slice size perfection. They were nice enough to let me kids use the bathroom as well. Do yourself a favor and go here when you are in town. read more

Called in my order, easy to do. Small little place on a corner, street parking (not sure about any close lots but don't think so). Picked it up and the gentleman behind the counter was very nice. They have lunch specials apparently and the large plain pie cost $15. The taste was spectacular and on point. I loved the build of the pizza, it was the right thickness. Not too greasy and not dry, just right. It was made fresh to order and tasted like more. We will be repeating the experience! read more

I ordered a large plain cheese pie over the phone for pickup. It's 8 slices in a large pie. TBH, this pie was on the smaller size in scale compared to other "Large" pies I'm used to. This is the first time coming to this pizzeria. I decided to try this pizzeria b/c a friend of mine on FB had posted a picture of the pizza here and basically hyped the hell out of this eatery. When I spoke to the guy taking orders over the phone, he was decent. I told him my order, asked how much, he told me how much and how long it would take to prepare the pizza order. Got there in 23 minutes by car. It's a bit of a hike for me, so I was thinking, I hope this place is worth the trip. Well, it definitely WAS!! The pizza is thin, it has very little flop, the undercarriage is cooked to perfection, the sauce is less sweet than a lot of pizzerias I've tried, and the dough is fully cooked. No chewy doughiness in sight! A truly good pizza eating experience. It's slight more on the oily side but that did not hamper the flavors in this pizza in any way. It was delicious ! Id rate it a 9 out of 10! I highly recommend this place for pizza! The. Only solitary negative, which has zero to do with the quality of food here, is that, it's far from us. Bummer. I wish we lived closer. Cause if we did I'd be the size of 2 pizza ovens! Next time I'll have to try the pasta dishes and non pizza plate offerings here at Nonna's in White Plains. Nonna's was my "go to" for years but something changed recently and their tried and true dishes are not edible anymore. Chicken scarp was my favorite meal from them... until last week. Since when is this dish served in a boatload of plain marinara sauce with slices of sweet peppers out of a jar and no potatoes? Plus they used slices of pizza sausage instead of chunks? We called to ask if the recipe had changed and they said no, claiming the hot peppers were blended into the sauce? There was no heat in that marinara at all just plain sauce. They've stoped bothering to even cut the chicken into chunks too, it seemed lazy to throw a grilled chicken breast on top. The side dish we ordered was capellini but again someone got lazy and sent spaghetti. Did they forget to drain it? It was stuck together like a brick. Next time I'm going to the other Nonnas - Nonna Corolla in Mamaroneck instead. read more

Looked up the best pizza spot in White Plains and this came up so we decided to try it. The crust & dough are absolute perfection. Crispy but not overdone. The Margherita slices were a solid 8/10 IMO. Very flavorful, excellent cheese to crust to sauce ratio. The plain slice had the same amazing crust and flavor but could have used just a tiny bit less cheese. I give the plain slice a 7/10. The pizza is a bit oily but that didn't stop me from eating the whole slice. Overall would absolutely come back here for a slice when I'm in the area. read more

We order from this place wvery weekend. We have never been let down. The dishes, pizza, soups and salads are amazing. The chicken tort. Soup is so yummy! No matter what you order owner Mike and his staff put their hearts into your dish or pie. I have been ordering pies from them for more than twenty years now and all my kids are hooked too. Two of my boys moved to the west coast and the first thing they want when they get back is Nonna's pizza. It's just as good if not better than any boro or NYC pizza and that's why we love it. Mike keep at it, you make many families happy!!!! read more

Margherita pizza. Nonna's. That pairing should be ingrained in the minds of every person in White Plains. Only positive things to share with this one. When you can only rely on a few ingredients to make your pizza shine, you know each piece matters. Can't hide behind toppings or extra cheese. And here, you can taste every element of a good Margherita pizza with every slice. We keep coming back to it every time we have pizza cravings. Appreciate the care they put in as well. We had a problem with one of our deliveries, but when we called about it they handled it with such kindness and professionalism. Five stars hands down. My wife and I grew up on Lake Street and Nonna's has been our go to spot. Though we now live in Chicago, every trip we make back to WP starts with a margarita pizza (the best) which sets us up for our NY state of mind. Kudos to one of my favorite restaurants for pizza. The people who take the orders are absolutely terrible. They make a lot of mistakes and then try to make your customers pay. The gentleman who answers the phone, told me never to call back because I tried to confront him about an overcharge. No customer should ever be treated like that All of this for $10. I'm not sure why their ratings aren't as high. This is a whole in the wall pizza joint, but their pizzas are excellent. We tried their margarita (the best ), eggplant Parmesan and buffalo chicken pizza, and they are mouth watering every time. Highly recommend! read more

This was my first time getting food from this place in many years and it was fantastic. I'm giving it five stars because it's exactly what it should be as a pizza place that also serves basic Italian food for a reasonable price. This review is specifically on the food that does not include pizza. I had the Nonna's salad which was fresh and delicious with a lot of grilled chicken and really great Gorgonzola cheese and fresh roasted red pepper. I also had a chicken and rice soup which tasted very fresh and homemade with lots of chicken and great flavor. One of my friends had the baked ziti which was perfectly cooked and the cheese was melted to perfection on top. My other friend had the chicken Parm wedge which she said was tasty and very filling. Finally we shared an appetizer of garlic bread which was baked perfectly and had a good amount of garlic to butter ratio. The prices were very fair for what we got and the service was fast and efficient. The workers were friendly when I arrived and everything was ready-exactly 20 minutes like they promised on the phone. The only downside is they don't seem to have a working website or an easy way to order online. I will definitely be back here next time I'm looking for some reasonable Italian food in the White Plains area! read more

Stopped by to grab a slice with my son. We had gotten a cheese slice and a tomato slice. It was great pizza. Went to look at the reviews and saw it only had 3.5 stars so I had to look into it. Every bad review was from 4+ years ago. If I'm over this way again I will definitely be stopping back in. read more

Ordered take out from Nonnas pizza and it was decent overall ,large pie. Chicken wings. Garlic knots , chicken roll which was still hot and ready when I arrived to pick up. The pasta dishes look interesting and the margarita square pie might be ordered on my next visit .I try to support as many shops in white plains when I can and the food joints tend to be on my priority list as I like to eat alot. I liked the pizza as the slices were bigger then average and the chewy thick crust is my preference, the wings a bit soggy , the garlic knots a bit to oily and no comment on the chicken roll as none was left for me to sample..Will give this pizza joint another try as the pasta dishes look interesting. 3.5 stars on my yelp meter . read more

It's been a while since we've been here, but being back in the area, we knew it was a go too. The pizzas are always really good and a good variety. The crusts are always just right. Staff always nice. We often come in right before closing after a baseball game and never feel rushed or awkward. Tonight I tried the spinach Pite. OMG- so good. read more

I live down the street from Nonna's and wish this place would step it up. I have tried a bunch of dishes and the standout is the buffalo chicken salad. The ready to go pizza at the counter looks old so unusually get a plain slice and it gets the job done. I would rate it 7.5/10. Last night I ordered a pie half mushroom/half cheese. Look at what I received. Not happy. Im going single plain slices from now on. read more

Ordered delivery which we've done a few times he past few months. Food is good, but the low stars are for the poor customer service. They delivered the wrong order and when I called to let them know, they argued with me -- said I ordered that (duh I know what I ordered). They refused to deliver the right order. Make sure you repeat yourself if you order over phone. They won't fix it if they get it wrong. read more

Best pizza ever and it's not even close. I used to work here for over two years so it is bit biased but you come in and try for yourself. I moved months ago and I miss eating everyday here lol -- everyone working there are great, the boss is the nicest person you will ever know.
