I've been here many times, and I have never been disappointed! Everything about this place is awesome. The location, atmosphere, aura, food, beer. And most of all, THE TAILS! (and wings too) I went today (3/18/15) on an inpromtu day out my friend for a late lunch, and once again, SATISFIED!! I tried fried pickles for the first time. OMG!!!! In a way I think I was spoiled because they were that good. Breading was light, they weren't heavy at all. Just delicious. I'm skeptical to order them elsewhere. I also ordered me some TAILS! The hype is real. This place has good wings! All the sauces seem homemade. Very legit. I got the soup of the day which was the beef stew. Delicious. Then I got the ears basket. It came with 4 tenders, fries, celery, and ranch. I got the honey BBQ and it was the best honey BBQ sauce I ever had. It was sweet and tangy. It wasn't from the jar like everyone else uses. My fiancé got the hot wings. They were really good but not as spicy as he thought so he'd go up a spice level next time. It was packed when we got there but we were able to get seated after a 10 minute wait. The staff was nice and attentive. We wish this was closer to our house. 072317 First time visit. Not sure what the hype is all about. Place was packed. Lots of locals, bikers & rednecks. The wait for a table was 35-45 minutes so we sat at the bar as soon as spots opened. The bartenders were very very busy so you have a few minutes to decide what you want to order. I had the cheesesteak.... no excitement there. No pizazz at all. My wife had an order of mashed potatoes. She said they were "ok". Our Craigslist friend had the 'Pic-Sampler'. She had the winner. They didn't come by every 40 seconds asking if you're good. They gave you your stuff and left you alone to enjoy it and paid attention to when the tank got low and refilled as necessary. This past week, my SO and I met up with a group of people at Pic-A-Lilli's for a friend's birthday (he likes this place apparently). Some balloons were brought and some other party decorations that were not overly obnoxious, but guests around us just kept staring and visibly showing disgust/annoyance at us (they were 'older' guests and people with children.) We're all in our late 20s and 30s and we weren't disruptive at all, there just were a number of us. First and foremost, the wait staff was RUDE! I tried to make a lighthearted joke and the one waitress just gave me the death stare and continued to ignore me and not take my order or approach me the rest of the night. Another waitress brought out some food that no one at our table had ordered and when no one claimed it, she stomped her foot and angrily power-walked away from the table. Oooookay. Unfortunately, our party size automatically added 20% gratuity to the bill and they're lucky, because no way would they have been getting near 20% (and we usually leave over 20% even if the location is just okay, since my SO and I have both worked in the food industry in the past.) The food was meh. Maybe it's because we now live in Philly so we're spoiled with second-to-none grub, but Pic-A-Lilli's was nothing to write home about. I would absolutely never ever go out of my way to go to this place again unless we don't get to choose, i.e. in the event of our friend's birthday. The food wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't leave me wanting more. If you ate here every night for years, you'd be well on your way to some sort of atherosclerotic disease. I will say, the smoky wings were HOT which was fun to try, but otherwise, just your average bar/diner-y type food. This place is in the middle of nowhere as well. I guess it thrives because of the locals, which was the majority of guests inside. The decor inside was, well, as another reviewer put it, "quaint doesn't have to mean dilapidated". All in all, would not seek out this place again, but maybe we're just used to great food and good service because we live in Philadelphia (though we're from South Jersey). Great Place!! We were a group of 16 and started out a bar up the street from Pic-a-dilli. That lasted 15 mins due to how rude the staff were. We left after a few of us finished one drink and ended up at Pic-a-dilli where there was a full house. We thought we were going home hungry. To our surprise with such a large group the hostess did what she could to accommodate us, with only a short wait. She moved tables around and pleasantly worked with us as we played musical chairs in the middle of the restaurant. We were extremely grateful for her patience. Once settled we were greeted with a wonderful waitress (Laura) with a great sense of humor who stayed on top of our large group the entire time. She had everything we needed before we had to ask for it. She fit right in to our group with her humorous banter and treated us very well. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better we were served delicious food and plenty of it!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We will definitely be back. Hopefully Laura is working, she is the best! Going to preface this by saying I am probably one of the most understanding and patient customers when it comes to restaurants. It was a Saturday night and it was relatively busy, however by the time we were seated the crowd died down tremendously. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, we were a party of ten and there was another part of ten right next to us. The waitress took the other parties order but never came to our table. About 10 minutes later, she took our drink and food order- and quite honestly, was not friendly at all. Never returned to our table. Continuously checked on the other party of ten RIGHT NEXT TO US. It took about 45 minutes to get our food, which a majority of it was incorrect and one dish didn't even come out... ever, even after an additional 20 minutes. Still didn't complain, although we should have at this point. Never checked on us again until we finally pulled her over and asked for the check and some boxes. Again, incredibly unfriendly, however EXTREMELY friendly to the table right beside us. I don't quite know what she had against us, we were friendly, understanding, and patient as we are young and many have had service experience. The entire experience was a slap in the face. I have never had this type of horrendous service before. Positive? The food was great! It came out tasty and hot. Such a shame that the service did not match. We will not be returning. Man, the Pic rules. Kings of the Wings, I'll say! That claim couldn't be more true. They've been doing the Wednesday night all-you-can-eat wings for $9.95 for years! I used to go to the Pic regularly back in the day, especially when I would be home from college for the summer. And boy, whenever I get nostalgic and start thinking about this place nowadays, the planning and scheming begins. I find myself coming up with all sorts of ways to convince the BF it's time for a trip to my beloved Pine Barrens. My favorite secret crush, the South Jerz. Obviously, if you find yourself hungry after a day of exploring the Pine Barrens, eat here. Your entire day will be complete. It'll make up for the fact that you couldn't find the Jersey Devil. Anyway ... The wing sauce this place uses is seriously slammin', quite possibly the best I've ever tasted without a doubt. It comes in four variations of hotness: mild (for the wimps), spicy, hot (my personal fave--it's pretty effing hot) and smokers. The traditional wings are delicious but I usually end up ordering the tails (fresh chicken breast) because they're big and meaty and offer a bit more bang for the buck. I suggest you do the same. The other food items on the menu? Well, I'm not even going to bother reviewing them (though the loaded baked potato is scrumdiddlyumptious) since, you know, the main reason to come here is the wings. Duh. Do take note: No refills on sodas or iced tea. If you're with a group of non-booze loving friends or family, I suggest ordering a couple pitchers of the desired beverage and be done with it. The place does have beer and liquor, too, for you drinkers. Oddly enough, I haven't had an alcoholic beverage at the Pic in years. Service is good, with friendly, mostly attentive waitresses who call you "Hun" and say things like, "Coming right up!" It totally works with the whole setting of the place. And what's that like, you ask? Well, if you love NASCAR and/or country line dancing, THIS IS TOTALLY THE PLACE FOR YOU. Catch my drift? No worries, though. The awesomeness of the wings will overshadow the rural hick feel of the place. You might even consider relocating to a trailer park somewhere nearby. I know I have. PS. This place came recommended by word of mouth. The people recommending must have not ate there recently because it was very mediocre at best. The menus were very dingy which didn't give the best first impression. We ordered spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer. The menu stated homemade tortillas which drove our decision to order. The dip was tasty but the very small amount of bagged chips made this dish a waste of money. 3 of the 4 people at my table ordered wings to share and onion rings to share for dinner. For some reason, 6 of the wings and the onion rings came as appetizers. There weren't a lot of choices for sauce on the wings but they went with the garlic Parmesan and hot wings. They all 3 said they were good but not the best they'd ever had. 3 stars good, which is what drove my decision for a 3 star review instead of 2. I got a turkey burger. Menu stated homemade. This actually seemed homemade but was not that great. Waitress promised it didn't come with tomatoes but guess what?...it did. No big deal to pull them off though. The sauce on the side was a cranberry horseradish. Pretty tasty and gave the bland burger a bit of flavor. It came with fries even though the menu didn't state so. I'm glad I decided not to order a side of fries. The kicker was that a member of our group ordered a drink "on the rocks" and they charged $.75 for ice. I've made two stops here for a quick dinner on my way to A.C. and wasn't disappointed either time. Of course I had to get the wings I kept hearing and reading about and was happy I did. You get the entire wing, so the typical six really equals twelve. They're not huge, but they were crispy, very tasty (Mild) and complimented with ranch and celery. Affectionately known as "The Pic" to those of us who grew up in the area, this south Jersey institution is legendary for its buffalo wings. My first introduction to Pic wings was waaaay back when I was 15, and my boyfriend at the time would devour a half a tray by himself. After turning 17, my friends and I would pile into someone's car every Wednesday for wings and Yuengs (no one was ever carded.) I can say, this place has gone downhill so much since those glory days. There's still a wait for a table on wing night, but things just aren't the same. The wings are puny, service is molasses slow, and the last few times I came here, everyone in my group got sick. I'm not sure if the wing demand is so high that they're just undercooking the meat or what, but it's certainly scared me off. That being said, the price is right, the wing sauce is good (not the best in the area though,) and a fun time can certainly be had by all. There are other menu options that have always been tasty and fresh. It's the closest thing us Hammontonians have to a biker bar and we certainly do cherish it. I probably wouldn't go back though, unless just for old time's sake. OH, and their friggin pies (Oreo, Reese's peanut butter cup...) are UNREAL. We looked over the menu trying to figure out what dish they would go in. We only ate 6 of our order of 13. Threw the rest away. Locals seem to love them. I just don't get it. The crab soup was okay. More creamy than crabby, but pretty good. Grilled Russian Turkey was good. Not greasy. Interesting to use cold cole slaw on this, so the temperature contrast was really good. Came here for dinner a couple of nights ago and it was fantastic! My girlfriend and I split wings as an appetizer and they were the BEST wings I've ever had! I don't know what it is that's so unique about their wing sauce but it is incredible. Also, the service was top notch as 3 different servers had checked on us every 5 minutes to see if we needed anything and to make sure everything was to perfection. And yes indeed it was! For dinner, I ordered a pulled pork sandwich which was excellent. The place may look a bit shady on the outside, but that sure is not the case once you walk inside. Its a Saturday night and my sister is celebrating her husbands 50th birthday at Pic-A-Lilli Inn with a party of 14. I have driven by this place numerous times on route 206 and never stopped in because it was not that inviting. I pull up and the parking lot is packed, however I got a good front spot in a mud puddle LOL and watched my tire shine slowly disappear. I walked in to a large bar with room tables on either side. The dress code was jeans and Camouflage. Our table was ready so we sat. After asking the hostess who was very nice and the waitress what they were known for, both answered buffalo wings. The party started off with 50 wings, fried corn bread balls and fried scallops. The corn bread was very good, the scallops to me were just a tad under cooked and the wings were normal, with nothing to write home about. Now in their defense they have several flavors of wings but ours were just mild buffalo sauce. The Menu has numerous selections and I ordered the BBQ Burger which is an 8 oz. burger with coleslaw, pulled pork and cheddar cheese along with french fries. You have two choices getting the burgers done, pink or no pink lol. My meal came out and the burger was done correctly. I could not see and pulled pork under the cheese however I did taste its sweetness along with the cool feeling of coleslaw from the bottom. After I sat for a while and people watched I realized the atmosphere is very relaxing and I felt like I was at a family dinner just chilling. Our waitress was very nice and professional along with a very polite and respectful bus boy. All in all the Inn was a nice change for me and the food was good. The place is old and kinda crumby inside with cheesy country music/line dancing nights (which no one who lives around there actually listens to or likes), but the food is impeccable. Actually, that only really applies to two things on the menu. First, the she-crab soup, it's a typical blue crab bisque with old bay seasoning, but it's out the this world because you can taste the cream in it and there's probably about a bushel's worth of crab meat in a cup. What they're best in the world for though is the wings. The wings are from a farm nearby, so they're fresh and they give you the "whole wing." The sauces (mild, spicy, hot, smokers) are what makes them outstanding. A little pricey but well worth it. I can't even eat wings anywhere else quite frankly. read more

Great atmosphere and excellent food! The feel of this place is laid back and relaxed. A real hometown bar/pub feel that's family friendly at the same time. Food was excellent and the service was very good as well. I had to try the Buffalo Ears (fried chicken cutlet with wing sauce) and they were great. They come in varying degrees of heat. We tried spicy, which is supposed to be the hottest... and it was pretty hot, but the heat could have been turned up a bit more. Still very good though. Also tried the prime rib dip sandwich... awesome! Overall a great place. Just keep in mind that on football days, this place can become a madhouse. We stopped in here once before on a Sunday, and ended up leaving after hanging around for about 20 minutes while people told us to go and wait here or there for a table. I'm no connoisseur but I don't know why everyone is obsessed with these wings. We got mild and they were a little watery. There is also an extra charge if you want bleu cheese/ranch dressing or celery. I ordered my burger and asked for it to be "a little red inside," and it came back completely brown, which was disappointing. They also ran out of the chips which came with the meal. They didn't even apologize or mention that they didn't give us anything until we asked where the chips were. Then instead of saying they could substitute something like fries for us, they asked if we wanted to add the fries (for the extra charge). If it is the restaurant's fault they ran out of the side that comes with the meal, I think they shouldn't charge us extra for the substituted side - or they should at least mention that they ran out, but hey, that's just me.
