We ordered the chicken Alfredo pizza, lobster ravioli, garlic cheese bread and some cheesecake. The pizza was delicious. I've had "chicken Alfredo" pizza from other places that were quite good, but this place made me realize you don't have to put so much extra toppings to make it good. It's like they took the time to prepare a delicious chicken meal with all the trimmings, not basic seasoning, and then placed it with love and care on the pizza. You don't need a lot of other toppings when there's actual good quality chicken. When we tried the lobster ravioli I thought it looked normal, but boy was I wrong. I didn't think it would taste better than the pizza, but that sauce was amazing. It had enough lobster to know that it was real lobster, not anything cheap, but not too much where it overpowers everything with a lobster taste or lobster smell. I don't know where to start on that sauce, but dipping the garlic cheese bread in it was *chef's kiss! Garlic cheese bread was great, but I have to go try that cheesecake now. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday to take some lunch to go and wasn't pleasantly surprised. The interior was reminiscent of any New York City pizzeria that I have been to before, and the food displays were awesome. Lots of good looking options to choose from and remarkably fresh. For my first time in, I was really surprised at the size of the restaurant including its upstairs/balcony seating. I settled for a stromboli and of course, a cannoli. The meat stromboli was plentiful and the marinara served with it was decent. Wish I could tell you how the cannoli was, but it never made it into my To Go bag order... I am from Boston and frequent the north end Italian district but nothing I eat there compares to the pizza I just enjoyed. The service is Johnny on the spot and the owners remember you by name. Everyone there is super sweet and happy to serve. Of course this is all irrelevant once they set your food down. My father ordered almost one of everything and they special made me a calzone. the owner even took the time to explain the difference between a calzone and Stromboli. So in my usual style I will list my food and rate Lobster ravioli - I could have licked the bowl clean the sauce is fantastic and the ravioli were super stuffed Supreme pizza - and sausage pizza - the crust is crunchy. So you bite into this pizza and the great flavor of cheese and toppings indulges the need for soft and gooey then you hit the crust and it crunches with perfection. I love, love, love the Lobster Ravioli from here!!! A few years ago my husband was working as a judge for a car show and it happened to be our anniversary weekend. We went walking at night, which is beautiful with all the lights; and walked into this place. Since it was our special night, I splurged on that plate and I was hooked from the very first bite! Surprised this place only has three stars. Lunch is probably different then dinner or a game. The Food was flavorful they have a scratch kitchen on anything can be made vegetarian or vegan. service was friendly and the waitress weren't bad on the eyes. This place survives off two downtown Fort Worth phenomenons: 1. There's no Italian restaurants downtown. Saviano's sucked it up from day one. Uno's is Uno's, not really an Italian player. 2. There's no restaurants open after the bars close, except this place. They get slammed after 2:00. You gotta dodge vomiters and soon-to-be-vomiters. I ate here last weekend, with my boyfriend and two of my best friends, as we were attending the TCU Jazz Festival, and were looking for a quick bite around Sundance Square. This was first and only time dinning here. When the four of us walked in at around 4:30, we were the only ones in the restaurant, which was a bit weird. You order at a counter, and then they reheat your entree, which I don't really have a problem with; I didn't this to be a super fancy restaurant. Anyways, I got a calzone and a slice of cheese cake. The cheese cake was really great- awesome texture and sharp flavor. The clazone was a bit greasy on the inside and overly hard/crunchy on the outside (it was hard to cut it with a butter knife). I also had a bite (or 10) of one of my boyfriend's pieces of pizza, and it was pretty good. Not the best I've had, but still pretty tasty; it had a nice oregano-y taste to it. I couldn't justify giving this place more than 3 stars because of the slightly disappointing calzone, and the weird/awkward vibe I got from the guys and the lady working the front counter. They were not outwardly rude or anything, they just seemed to be annoyed that we all had long orders, and that they were all separate. I'm not much of a pizza coneseur, but I do judge a pizza place by its crust. I had a sausage calzone and my husband had a chicken stramboli(they're quite similar.) Both were very good inside and out. The sausage in mine was flavorful and the cheeses were nice and rich. It's a casual place to eat but still very nice. To put it one way, we had just come from a graduation cerremony downtown and my husband was in a tux and we didn't feel too awkward- fashion wise. I LOVE this place!!! First off the important thing the food. It's good, really good. The pizza crust is crunchy and has a good taste on its own, they use a good cheese and sauce, the ingredients are fresh, It's not rocket science it's pizza, and for good pizza that does not taste like the nasty chain stuff, it rocks. Secondly, I dig the vibe, their not there to kiss your butt and bless your heart, they ARE there to serve you good food in a timely manner and get you on your way. I appreciate the simple no fuss, no fake conversation, business transaction. Please and thank you suites them and me just fine. I don't know if their from New York but if you have never been, this is what NY is like, "ain't got time, move along". I'm there for food, if I want small talk I'll go to Starbucks. Thirdly, not enough people appreciate the position Picchi is in. Downtown lunchtime is a mad house, and Picchi is very proficient in moving people in and out quickly and it's appreciated by the 1 hour for lunch crowd. Then they have to deal with the "bar" crowd. If they didn't like what they do they wouldn't be there and if you don't like how they have to deal with the sheer volume they do, you don't have to be there either. But you would be missing out on some REALLY great food. This is the place that I'm giving a high rating to because it's one of the better pizzas I've had in the DFW and I was surprised to see that they have really good spaghetti here as well. Very much surprised at this place is not more highly rated. It's remind me of a typical Italian place like the ones are used to go to in California and Arizona. This has more or less a New York style pizza and the taste is exactly what I'm looking for. There are very few places that I would rate high in the DFW for pizza because in my opinion they are all average at best but this one is a little bit better than most I've tried. They have moved to seventh Street which I'm not very happy about. The ambience is something that I really liked when I used to come here. I've always come here in a group and we used to go up stairs all the time. It kind of reminds me of one of those mafia places where you can have your quiet business meetings on top and nobody knows that you're up there LOL. It was right in the middle of Sundance Square and a very much is to enjoy it being in this location but I have not been here since they have moved. In fact when I saw that the place was empty I thought that they had closed down so I'm glad at least they didn't so I can still get a delicious pizza here in the DFW. read more

I honestly feel that giving them one star is FAR too many! It was truly one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant!!! I mean EVER! I have never seen anything like their customer service anywhere and hope to never again! We were all in a state of shoc During the Main Street Arts Festival, we decided to go inside and get my son and my nephew and piece of pizza as they hadn't had any lunch yet. I ordered my son's pizza from the guy and he asked me which type of pizza that I would rather have (after I told him specifically which one we wanted) and we made eye contact and i told him again which piece. Then my sister in law ordered my nephew's piece of pizza. I only saw him put one piece in the oven and was confused. He put a piece up on the counter that was the same kind that my son was wanting, so I asked him if this was ours and he said kind of rudely, "No, it's for another customer." So we asked him if he got my son's order and he told us no, that he only got the one order. So once again, I tell him which type of pizza my son wanted. Then we move down to order the drinks. I told the lady at the register that I wanted to get one coke to go and one ice water. She shows me a hard plastic coke cup and says that's for water. Well, I knew that I certainly couldn't take that cup "to go." So I got two of the paper cups that were by the register, so I could put water in one and coke in the other. As soon as I did, the lady raised her voice and says to me, "Excuse me, you can only take one of those for a coke!" And I said to her, that I was also taking one for water because as I told her originally, I wanted a water "to go" and I very well couldn't take the hard plastic cup with me. Then she tells me that she didn't know that I wanted it to go? Seriously?!?! Then she shows me this smaller, thinner plastic cup and tells me that THIS cup is for water! I'm thinking to myself, does it REALLY matter THAT much to act this way? So I told her that I was sorry, but they were all being kind of rude and that I didn't appreciate it. She didn't apologize or anything. So in the mean time, my sister in law, friend, the kids and myself go to a table to wait for the pizza to be ready to go. So we are talking about something else altogether and a bad word was used. All of the sudden, this lady who works there who had been standing there eavesdropping on us, unknowingly to me walks up and just as loudly as she could said to me, "Excuse me, but did you just call my Mother a B$#@h?" I could NOT believe it! Everyone in the restaurant turned around and looked at us! I told her NO that we were NOT talking about her mother and asked her what her problem was (her mother was the lady at the cash register!) So she and I said a few things back and forth to each other and I told her that I coudn't believe that she was eavesdropping on our conversation and if she was going to spy on somoene, that she needed to get her story straight! At this point, I was so in shock, we all were!! So I went up to the lady at the cash register and her extremely rude daughter and I demanded to see the Manager. I was then informed that they owned the place! I was blown away! I told her that they would NOT be in business long if they keep running it like that and treating customers that way! And I told her how her daughter had just embarrassed me in front of everyone and had been spying on our conversation and so on. The lady apologized for her daughter as her daughter stood by giving me the worst looks, like if looks could kill kind of looks! Then I told the lady at the cash register, that I was was NOT calling her any names, but that yes, she had been rude to me, then SHE starts to raise her voice at me. All of this is in front of two people trying to pay for their meal. Then they guy who is at the pizza area tells both of us to stop arguing!! OH MY GOSH!! Please tell me this is NOT happening! Am I in a nightmare! That is what I was thinking!!! I just walked away! I will not lower myself to their level! It was total insanity in there! I will surely never go back!!! My family and I freqently go out to eat, sometimes 4 or more times a week. My husband and I both work in the travel industry and have been all around to many restaurants and have had all kinds of service from excellent down to horrible, but this certainly took the cake for the worst experience to date!!! I was apalled to say the least!
